There’s a trick to the active noise cancelling that i have yet to see talked about. If you yell “EVERYBODY SHUT UP” as loud as you can, everyone around you literally goes silent, and then they start mocking you but their voices murmer at a frequency low enough that ANC directly cancels it perfectly

Was impressed by the graph from twitter and the review did not disappoint. This review is very on time for me as well because awhile back I lost the case of my wf-1000xm3s in a grab ride (good to know I made a good choice back then even before looking into audio stuff!). It makes me SO sad when I work out. IEM cables and moving machines are a terrifying combination. There's also this really epic thing that women clothing does and it's where they just don't have pockets. I'M LITERALLY USING RAYCONS RIGHT NOW TO SAVE MONEY AND I WANT TO CRY. I'll most likely be getting these when I have some money to spare. Though I'll have to look into other reviews and features of the buds 2 pros vs other TWS on the market since daily driving features like audio pass through and the ANC matters to me as well. I'm only going to be using wireless earbuds at the gym anyway. The care to review and explain things to beginners is definitely going to help a lot of newbies watching this and that's why I love watching your stuff. The quick comparisons to other ear buds at the end was also GREAT because I needed to know quickly without looking through all of your videos (and some of them aren't video reviewed here/on your dead channel so I'd have to visit your website). @@tokaku Yeah you should look into it, I did my research some years ago so it could have improved. I mentioned that because I know you might become interested in trying it with some rythm games :)
even foam earplugs have a limit of -33 dB noise reduction since sound doesn't just travel through the ear canal, so one can imagine that TWS buds are not going to fair much better in passive isolation. there's only so much you can do with 3 standard eartip sizes.

Funnily enough, the whole thing about ANC not cancelling high frequency noises is what I quite like about them. They allow you to passively be aware of your surroundings while still enjoying your music, because low frequency interference is the biggest encumberance to enjoying most music. FANTASTIC review and delivery!! New subscriber for sure!! THANK YOU!! I JUST bought the Buds 2 Pro. I never thought that my Sony XM4's could be beat. So I took a chance on these. I am SOOO glad that I did!! These Samsung's are fantastic!! The ONLY reason that I ditched the XM4's was due to the mic. Whenever I called someone, that person could barely hear me. Said it always sounded like I was under water or talking into a can....don't get me wrong, the music sounded amazing!! But with the Buds 2 Pro, I lost none of the music quality, and gained a MUCH better calling experience (i.e. mic)...SOOOOO glad that I made the switch!!

These sound amazing and are overall amazing in general as long as noise canceling and an incredible app aren’t your hard points. The sound is so good, wore them to the gym a few times and I was certain I would have to get comply tips or just use over the ears. Nope…they stayed in through the whole workout, and I sweat like a demon. Great video about a fantastic product
Yeah my first video of yours. Absolutely subscribing. The opening was pure gold 🤣
Good review and thank you for all those EQ presets 👍
I bought these sand I agree they sound great, im really surprised actually how good they sound.
I recently picked those up and the absolute best part is how comfortable they are, you barely feel them when you use them. The sound is good, it's not gonna blow your mind in my opinion but it's definitely not bad, it's what you expect honestly. I'm however a bit saddened by the lack of customisability for the button presses, well the touch buttons, and their functionality.
Love this channel l!! Seems we have pretty similar preferences in sound. Just ordered my buds 2 pro's after my current cheap Jabees earbuds fell apart. Really looking forward to hearing how they sound with my s22 ultra.
followed your reviews and got QCY T5 & Galaxy buds2, I don't regret it one bit. Thanks!!!
I've used the Buds+ for a very long time, then made the switch to the Buds Pro in favour of ANC. My main complaint with the Buds Pro (and the reason why I don't want to buy the Buds Pro 2) is because of ear tip compatibility and sound isolation. Without ANC turned on they simply don't sound good, ANC is a must in this case. I use the Buds Pro for everything, that includes going to the gym. Unfortunately the shape of the eartip doesn't fit that well in my ears, no matter the size. I've tried three different ear-tips, including The comply ones (meant for the Jabra 85t, same design) and the weird double ones, but both do not properly fit on the Buds. It literally happened twice so far (once with type) that I removed the Bud from my ear just to find out that the eartip is still in my ear, and that's not a risk I'm willing to take especially when I don't have tweezers on me. They really need to let that odd shape go so it's compatible with more eartips and mitigate tolerance issues with those third party eartips.
Great review, thanks to you I pulled the trigger on the Buds Pro. I'll like to know your opinion on Google's products, for example, the recently launched pixel buds pro, since I've seen tons of youtubers calling them the best on the market, problem is, I kinda trust your opinion better. Hope your channel gets bigger
Another great review! I might be in the market for a new TWS set soon. I don't know how much of this is just this video, but I heard a lot more echo and background noise in this video. I'd reccomend getting the mic closer to your mouth, or switching to a lavalier mic! Sorry to be annoying, but with working on a lot of production and recording lately it really stood out to me.
Great analysis as always!
Really loved your explanation of passive and active noise cancellation. I've expected my first pair of ANC headphones to magically eliminate everything that I hear.

I'm indeed new to the channel. And yes you calling out all the newcomers reactions instantly made my subscribe. Great humour!
Wonderful video crin! What are your thoughts on bluetooth wireless adapters like the FIIO UTWS3 and UTWS5?
I got these free as a throw-in when I upgraded my Z Fold 2 to the Fold 4. I'm not usually an IEM fan as I generally don't like sh*t crammed into my ears, preferring over-the-ear cans instead. However, I have to say that I've been very pleasantly surprised by these, especially with the Dynamic EQ preset. I've been using these regularly.
Dude your videos are great!
I've had two different pairs of these and had the same issue with both: They had a very awkward insertion angle and shallow fit and couldn't get a proper seal no matter what eartip I tried, and the improper shallow fit made the treble extremely sibilant and hurt my ears/upset my tinnitus. All the included tips have wide bores which further worsens the already harsh treble. I had the same issue with the airpods pro 2 for exactly the same reasons. The stem made the awkward insertion angle even worse however, as it got in the way and pressed against my outer ear very uncomfortably. It had the best feeling, most complete and least likely to activate by mistake controls, but that really didn't make up for physical pain, bad sound and upset tinnitus. The Sony LinkBuds S however fit and sound absolutely perfect, they are incredibly comfortable and they include a hardware EQ that has 6 bands (if you count "Clear Bass" which in effect is a sub-200Hz extra EQ band). Not perfect, but flexible enough to customize the frequency response to your liking or needs. They have a straight insertion angle so it copes much better with awkwardly angled canals (you can wear the IEM slightly angled and it'll still fit your outer ear fine), and the tips have narrow bores resulting in less harsh treble. Having tried all three, for me there really was absolutely no contest. I wear the LinkBuds S literally all day and they sound incredible after EQ, whereas the Apple and Samsung offerings were physically unusable for me. So far Sony have never let me down with audio.
I would love if Crinacle made a video about the UTWS5 from FiiO. It would make the best Truly Wireless In Ear Monitor in combination with anyone's favorite IEM

I can say that just as you said initially it all depends on the ear shape. For me the liberty 3 pro have a good passive NC if i use the large ear tips. I tested both ANC from liberty 3 pro and buds 2 pro with a whites noise, fan noise, car sounds outside and also inside with tv and with my ear shape and using the larger tips i personally felt that the buds 2 pro are really to notch, better than the L3pro. So I just got my 2 pros today and instantly felt the shallow insertion of the rubber tips and resulting bad passive isolation. I got the medium tips from a kz zs10 that I had lying around and voila, the pros are worlds better now. I don't have any foam tips lying around but will order some to see where this can go. Personally, I’m still gonna stan the N400’s. I genuinely like the “shout” of Harman and Diffuse Field and my personal target has slightly higher treble than Harman.

@@deanagoes2791 Five hours isn’t great but I usually don’t have issues with battery life. I have a four hour period at work when I can use them, outside of work I can swap between them or my speaker system at home, and I don’t usually stay out of the house for longer than two hours at a time

You should take hearing loss and your ear impedance into account as well, personally for me (21M) Harman IE is VERY shouty and does not sound neutral to MY ears. I owned a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 (non-pro) and I find myself using the "soft" EQ setting just to tone it down a notch, strangely I also happens to prefer Diffuse-Field with bass boss (aka ER2XR) over using AutoEQ to harman, I guess the upper mids is the culprit.

@@ggtest4468 I get where you're coming from but the clearly stated that he "Personally" enjoys Harman/brighter Harman and didn't find it offensive. If he enjoys it so be it, not need to relate with hearing loss etc. Harman is a PREFERENCE target people and not a end all be all for sound quality, I believe they only covered like 60% of their sampled listeners (of which are mixed between average joe and professional audio person). So in the end if you don't like it than its completely understandable. PS. I also find Harman IE shouty.

For me, spending $50+ on TWS is just a waste. They are easy to lose, the battery degrades over time, etc. So I've found a brand called Soundpeats that more than fit the bill. They are good sounding. The T2s I first bought got 8 hours of battery and looked good in black. When I thought I had lost a bud on vacation (I later found it at the bottom of my backpack) I got the Sonics. They are ugly with silver and gold accents, but they have a physical button and 15 hours of battery. Now the T2s are awaiting me losing a Sonic bud, although at 15 hours, I may be able to live with just one.
Crinacle is a revolutionary figure in the world of Hi-Fi audio, and is the most experienced individual when it comes to tuning measurements in in-ear monitors.
As always, great information.
Was hoping you do this one
App presets are rarely good. Usually get 1 or 2 usable options. Not sure why they have to pick such extreme EQ changes between options. Smaller tweeks would be much better but almost no one does it this way.
Have you checked out the Pixel Buds Pro yet? I've heard theyre great as well!
Hi Crinacle, I just subscribed. Love this review. I like to consider myself a bit of an audiophile myself. I play the electric guitar, always tone chasing, I have a really nice Tannoy system with vintage Mcintosh gear to listen to records and such…Which leads me to ask, have you ever Reviewed or listened through Tannoy’s “lifebuds”, they go for 50 bucks. They claim to use or be inspired by their dual concentric design. Believe it or not my next pair of earbuds I shop for, will be my first lol, I have a great pair of over the ears, but I want some good sounding earbuds, as a lightweight option. So far I’ve seen this and a recent review 4 months ago mentioning the AKG400’s, Im curious how the Tannoy Lifebuds compare. Thanks!
Hi crinacle! Can you review the Airpods pro 2 ? So many good news about it, but I trust you a lot more than other "reviewers"
I have the Buds+, Airpods Pro, Soundcore Liberty Pro 2, and Buds2 Pro and I found the Buds2 Pro sound noticeably better than the others. Though I prefer the transparency mode on the Airpods Pro.

The one thing that keeps me with the Airpod Pros is definitely the transparency mode. During my job I’ll sometimes move around and have to interact with people and it helps a ton

There's a setting in either labs or some deep menu of the wearable app that allows you to fine tune the Ambient mode settings on the Buds 2 Pro to better suit your hearing. It creates the best transparency/ambient mode I've found on TWS, to the point I talk to the people and forget I have them in. No one talks about it because you have to find it though.
I just bought the Buds2 yesterday.
Your hair looks dope in this video... noticed the effort👍 Respect.
Great review
If you look at Reddit they pretty consistently cite the Liberty 3 Pros as the best sounding TWS. So I think it's pretty insane that you haven't reviewed them yet.

I sure hope they are better than the Liberty 2 Pro. I unfortunately bought these a few years back and they are some of the worst sounding true wireless earbuds I ever tried.

Between the 3 pro, and liberty 4 I find the 4's to be leaps ahead in sound and volume. The 3 pro is only of use when I'm on my ebike or kayak and can put the wingtips to use. Don't get me wrong they are very good, just my sound preference
The king of audio strikes again
So I got these free with my Flip4 and overall I can tell you the wireless is convinient, to the point that I have accepted that truly wireless is what we should be targeting for earbuds. Sound wise I have permenantly considered them to be overall average quality. This means better than most consumer things, but worse than most audiophile things. I only ever used the noise cancelation on an international flight. It was definitely better than not having noise cancelation, but there definitely is a pressure it puts in your ear and there is some leaking of higher frequencies in. I lost my pair at a wedding earlier this week. They had a tracking feature built in but did not send me a notification when I left them. Most likely it was added sometime after I received and set up mine. I did not like them enough that I feel that I need to buy a new pair now. Instead I have fiio utws5 and moondrop Kato on the way. We will see if I lile the system better, or if the Ecosystem Integrations™©® of Samsung are worth going back to.
Hi Crinacle, you should check out the Anker soundcore liberty 3 pro tws and compare them to the Samsung buds pro 2. The two earbuds are both titans in terms of sound quality in the tws market.
Would love a comparison of the new BOSE TWS and Airpods Pro 2 against the Buds 2 Pro.
