Great video 👍 I understood what u said about custom roms . Generally Hackers target larger group of users. SO, they won't have interest in custom rom people . Mostly we are safe unless our device got stolen 😁. Generally people Flash roms on secondary device without using bank apps. But It's important for companies to continue security patch updates even if they stop OS updates. Because most people do use their smartphones minimum 2 years. I'm excited in Android 12 as it has Good privacy and security features. I hope other OEMs don't neglect that code 👍

Great video as always, more people should start talking about privacy and security. As you said specs are not everything in a phone. Privacy do matters. We should protect our privacy as much as we can rather than giving excuses that we are not prime ministers because when the sensitive information leaks or there is a security breach there is no coming back from it. We all should think about this matter. Even on budget phones we should think of ways to protect our data. Do as much as is possible.

Samsung specializes in military grade encryption technologies and security applications cum equipments which many people don't know. Anything above M series is definitely better as they all have knox for security. But some M series phones also have that.

that's why I bought Samsung A52 in 2022, I didn't think about any other brands with fancy processors like Xiaomi, Realme, OnePlus, Iqoo etc. They're proving only fancy features which attract buyers..

Knox have better security than that... they have separate processor and separate chip for storing confidential data instead of software based on iphones. Thatsy till date no one was able to unlock bootloader of us version of samsungs.(except using samsungs factory software which dosent give real super user acces) hardware security is imp. Iphones 12 with 14.6 got tampered...

Unlocking bootloader will delete all files. 2ndly there is encryption enabled on all recent android phones.

Encryption is fine, the question is where are the encryption keys stored. You need a different storage that is separate from your normal os that why they build separate process or chip to keep things separate. So that no apps or even os can read it.

I wanna request you to make a video on this, if u r interested. I feel samsung M series phones are cheaper. It's bcz of being online centeric . But i feel samsung compromise on quality of parts used to lower the costs. I think that they used cheaper parts of comparatively low quality. May also sacrifice their margins. That's why Chinese brands are also able to sell at lower price plus their margins are relatively low. But in A series, i feel they use quality parts. I may be wrong. But if this is so, then people should know abt it. People unnecessary give importance to brand and brand value increases.

No that is true, Especially on software side. Not every M series phone has Knox and very few has full Knox security. Using cheap hardware is normal because of price but Samsung also add unnecessary apps in M series. And recently saw this on A52 update as well. Samsung phones are not value for money always, but they do give better privacy and security over other competitors.

@@_arorarohit_ yes bloatware. If u read abt the history of knox. There were some security concerns related to it. Which samsung has taken care of hopefully. Also samsung while providing update has to make ensure that it doesn't mess with knox security. And knox is also hardware based security, samsung can't provide knox in phones of other brands.

I was looking for second hand LG phone to buy. For 1 year use, Is LG phones privacy policy good enough?

but its not vice a versa, you data can be secured with brands or government but its not private.

People who use Crypto wallet on phone Like "trust wallet" will understand how much important is the hardware level security is.

I'm still wary of security in Android devices be it stock one or heavy skinned

And people sometimes visit such webpages or click on such links bcz of which malware can come in phone. And phone can start behaving strangely. People don't understand why is something strange happening in phone. And they think there is some defect in the phone

@@PS-792 these are bugs. You can find it in iOS too. There's a recent bug i heard in iOS ~ A recent iOS bug is causing trouble if iPhone users connect to a WiFi network with a specialised name. It can disable an iPhone's ability to connect to Wi-Fi hotspots if it attempts to initially connect to a hotspot with a specific name that breaks the function. ~

Apple is not first in security. I'd say Samsung and Google are better with their hardware level security.
