I have got to admit that I was watching this thinking "There is no way this will work." But I bit the bullet cause I was pretty much at the end of the road with me favorite watch and tried it. I was SHOCKED when the screen came to life for the first time in a week. I have it charging now. I am curious though, once the watch gets to 50% or even 100% charged, will I have to do this EVERY TIME I want to charge my watch? Or will the cradle charger work again?

Hi, you don't have to do that every time, but try to change the battery to a new battery if it happens again.

Basically manually jumpstaring battery to a percent that will be recognized by motherboard and allow charger to charge and balance the battery.

God damn it, you saved my watch. This is literally the only video on youtube that explains this trick. Cheers mate, great job! I also held the wires with my bare hand for a couple of seconds till the screen shown that it's charging, then I've fully charged it using the watch's charger.

There has to be a connection. If the pin is removed so solder it to the pad, If the pad is removed you have to track the pad to find its root and solder the wire. Without soldering wire, you can not connect it to the computer.

I've just opened up my Galaxy Gear Sport, and the terminals are slightly different. Do you know what colours I have to connect to which terminals for this model? Thanks.

Great video. I did not know you could charge a battery like that. I´ve got a Gear S3 that charges no problem, but won´t turn on. Suspect the buttons are not working. Have you got a video that shows how to test them and carry out a repair, please?

For charging, RED for positive and Black for negative will be enough. Green and white are for data communication.

I know it! In your video you solder all cable also data but for relife the battery drained it's possible solder only red and black cable and connect it to supply power 2A 5V usb or other amper (1A)? Thanks

red and black is for power. two other wires are from data transfer.

@@mikitoni13 Black is Ground (-)(Negative) power, Red is positive (+) power, white and green are for data transfer. If you you want to do data transfer such firmware update so connect all 4 wire. If you want to just charge up your watch so connect two wires, that are Red and Black.

Incredible. Y did it with a cable only with red and black and only charged it for 1 minute without solding them and with my hand steady jaja. Then I placed it in the charger and did a reboot pressing 3 times the lower button. And there it is.. charging from 1 percent...thank you man! 😂

Hi, Open your watch, disconnect wall connections, clean them and put them back together, update your watch to latest firmware. Your watch problem can be one of these issues: Hardware, if it is hardware motherboard and or sensor, so you need to change one of them. Second can be software, update or reset to factory settings.

If the red light on the dock is flashing your battery is full discharged then: Put the watch on the dock red light is turn on when starting flashing take the watch out of the dock then put it again when start flashing take the watch out and do the same about 10 times and the watch will start charging. Cheers

Hi, See if you can restore the old software. Or download one old model and install that and see whats happening. Report this issue to Samsung. Wait for the next update. When next update came, update your watch and see if its working or not. If not so go back to old version. Report the issue to samsung. Wait for the next update. After update came, update your watch. Check the sensor. If its working so its fine if not send a report to Samsung. Use old software again and wait for the update. Repeat this loop until it start working.

Hi! Great video. My gear s3 all of a sudden got a vertical line in the middle of the screen, very bright. It blinks a little and the screen turns off but the touch works well. Hi, The new battery can be faulty as well. First thing to do is to flash the watch with firmware. After that if its the same so try to change the battery again.

The battery in my Gear S3 is charged, but I can not turn on because the home button is not working. Can you tell if there's another way to turn the power on? Thank you!

yes, but the base should be fine. If it is ground, you can take ground from metal plates.

Yes, it will, unless the red and black are not red and black. But does it matter? Yes, It does, as the Red needs to be positive input and black negative. Unless the colour is not important, but the polarity needs to be correct.

@@MrImasta make sure not to connect 5v to the batteries. These batteries are about 3.7V. They are Lithium lipo batteries. However, if the battery is overheating, it can be due to many reasons, one of the reason can be the battery itself.

I want to flash gear s3 frontier with usb cable like ur video of ( un brick gear s2) because i downloaded wrong frimware so the watch doesn't want to open so can i connect usb cable to pc and watch like the method in this video

You need to change it. For quick action, you can use a tweezer and short the two pins. You can search on eBay for a replacement button.

Some batteries when they get fully discharged and are not charged for some time, can not be charged, so sometimes applying a few higher voltages directly to the battery, fix this problem.

Can i send my S3 frontliner for repair ?

If this does make the watch charge then what is the fix for the watch to go back to charging the normal way?

The problem of this watch was that the battery was fully drained. So in this case particularly for this watch, it was not able to be charged by the wireless charger., So The problem could be simple to boost the battery charge by connecting these wires. And or the problem can be with the battery. So the watch may need a new battery. Some times, the problem is in electronics, on the motherboard. So if it down to battery change the battery and it will charge normally. And if it just needs a boost charging as I did in the video so do it that way. Then monitor the battery and see how it goes. if the charge and discharge time is ok. So leave it like that, otherwise, change the battery.

This watch has power problem. The cell is fully drained off. The cell is gone over discharged limit and it can not be charged back. Or the cell could be faulty. So when a fine cell goes over discharge limit then it can not be charged back with the low current of the watch circuit board. Connecting 3 - 5 volts with 1 amp current directly to cell will boost the charge on the cell. So if the cell is faulty or electronics are faulty the cell will be drained off back again. If the cell and protection electronics work fine then the cell will stay charged about the discharge limit.

@@anwarigroup thanks for the answer, i think that button is not the problem, owner of watch gave it to some guy and he either tried to update or replace its firmware, the thing nobody asked to do. Now i try to bring them back to life. After that dude the watch started to discharge very fast and turned off after full discharge. I've charged them full but they don't turn on. Maybe you have any ideas? Thanks.

Check your battery voltage by a multimeter and see how much charge you have there. if you have 3v so close your watch and charge it and try to turn on. If your battery has no enough charge so charge it. Check your battery after charging. See how much voltage you get. Your new battery sometimes can be faulty too. After that if battery is ok, so check your power switch. Your power switch can be faulty too. If your battery is charging. and your power on switch and flex wire is ok. So then check all wires connected properly. If everything is ok so then it works to the watch motherboard. If watch motherboard. Your display screen can be faulty too. Sow now if you have a spare motherboard and display screen, so check by replacing them.

I've had my Samsung Gear S3 watch for over three years. during the beginning of the 2nd year the watch won't turn on it showed 100% charged. but no matter what I did it won't turn on. I finally gave up trying an took the watch to the T-Mobile store I purchased it from. They performed a song and dance routine and then suggested I take it to a watch repair shop. I decided I wasn't ever going to get a Samsung watch again. Now tonight I'm on KZread an happen to run across a Gear S3 topic and it suggested placing the watch on the charger an perform the reboot routine. I was both happy that it worked and dismayed that the T-Mobile support didn't know about this.

Under the back cover of your watch is an electricity power receiver., Check that and check its a connection to the motherboard. That wireless power receiver has to transfer power to the board.
