I wish it was as good as the S24. It's literally the same cameras as the Fold 4 (but imroved software) which was worse than my Note 20 Ultra I traded it in 4. The current camera is worse than a 6 year old phone now...

Im not sure that they will do that. You need to understand that the fold is a sofisticated system and doesn't have the same hardware as the s24 ultra. They might be able to do it later, but be grateful that it's even supported now

Yup, as much as I want a foldable, there are too many compromises right now, like lack of S Pen slot and less quality cameras.

i'm so bummed, vodafone in australia is going to make me pay $700 out of my own pocket for the difference between my current 512 fold 5 and the fold 6. That's way too big a gap, for an incremental screen upgrade and other aesthetic changes.

@anub3207 honor is way better here in the UK it has larger silicone carbon battery and optimise better than Samsung my magic 5 pro battery with 5100 mah and 8gen2 is definitely better than my s23 ultra then I got s24 ultra and the magic 6 pro and an even much greater difference in battery speed and smoothness trust me when I say this Samsung is heading in apples direction honor is the new king today

Samsung no longer leads the global market share for foldable phones thanks to their uninspired slow to innovative business decisions. Now Huawei has overtaken them as market share leader. That 1mm front screen difference isn't going to convince me to upgrade

I used to love Huawei phones until the dmn US ban. I'm still using my Mate 20x as a backup phone. The screen is still gorgeous, and battery life is still solid. The only dislike is maybe the cameras aren't that great anymore, but it's still decent enough in good light. Samsung would be screwed if Huawei phones still had Google support. Huawei has already surpassed Apple in global sales when the ban took place.

Thankfully for Samsung, Huawei doesn't even count as competition. All they have to worry about is the pixel fold phone which is newer and it needs some time to grow.

May Samsung focusing more on quality and optimization instead of quantity same like what Apple do in their iPhones for Galaxy Z series compared to Galaxy S Series that pushing for quantity for some parts.

I have the ZFold 4 and can see no compelling reason to spend $1k, (after the discounts and trade ins) for not much of a better phone. I'm waiting for the Pixel Fold 2 or the One Plus Open 2 in January. Sammy has been too slow to adapt and innovate for me. They have a LOT of catching up to do.

@@teslam3m592 that's a good point. I'm not getting a case. I use my phone naked and had no issues after 2 years. I also use the S Pen Pro because I hate the tiny s pen and that wouldn't work with a case anyway 😅 But if you buy using a promo code from any KZreadr they do give you a $100 credit towards accessories which would include not only a case but also something else like a charger. Same as the OnePlus open, just extra steps

The narrow cover display is great in actual use. It's not even that narrow anymore.

If a top end device with high focus on scribble based AI does not come with embedded pen slot, it's a big NO!

Not at all worth for the money ; I am pretty damnnn sure One plus open2 will be huge improvement ….

Finally an actual review. I tried watching MKBHD and he looked so salty because Samsung didn't send him a free unit to review.

Well.. Technically it can't be water resistant without beeing dust proof😉 IP ratings are also depending on what the company actually decides to pay for. They can decide to just test up to i.e IP4x while it could handle higher level. But not tested for more. So yeah. But it also might be mainly for the hinge..

Samsung's pushing AI to sell more product how much integration do we really need the majority of people only use 2-3 of these AI features on a regular basis.

My Fold 5 NEVER over heats or feels abnormally warm, wasn't a problem with my 4, or 3.. "60% larger vaper chamber" and they keep getting slimmer and lighter.. sounds to me like they could've opted for a pen slot and/or better camera a long time ago.. Idk 🤔😠

My galaxy s23ultra has a 6.8" screen. The galaxy fold 6 fully opened is 7.6" screen. Hopefully, the next iteration of galaxy fold 6 offers at least 8.5" screen. The Fold 6 doesn't give me that much of a difference from galaxy s23ultra.

I'll keep my fold 4. Thank you

@TechTalkTV honor is less heavy more easily held in hand faster charging faster speed feel smoother has far greater battery it's cheaper has great build quality and ip68 unlike one plus and vivo and honor has now introduced a new display that is 40 percent more efficient on the magic 6 ultimate and will probably use it on the magic 7 and 7 pro I really can't see Samsung trying to improve in any way while honor is introducing something new every year clearly you can see honor is the new king here

@@uinnovell that is great news. i have the 4 as well and the hinge won't open flat anymore. :( started after the phone got really hot in the car and i think the adhesive melted and started coming out of the hinge... don't let your phone sit in the direct sunlight, even in air conditioned car!

Apparently, the external display of the Fold 6 has the same aspect ratio as that of the older Xperia (V), can anyone confirm? If so, it would be difficult and hypocritical to continue to criticize the Fold 6's outer display, when for years the Xperia has been praised for that 🤷🏽‍♂️ On the other hand I can't understand how Samsung could add 300mAh more on the Flip 6 and not even 1 mAh on the Fold 6 🤔, and it's clear that not having better photo sensors and especially a bigger battery (at least 4800-5000mAh), that's unforgivable in my opinion. 🙏🏽

That's because Samsung knows that the crease is pretty much a non-issue. Ask anyone who's used their foldables before me included and we will tell you that the crease is a non-issue and you cannot see it. Most people who still complain about that are newbies to foldables and have never really used one.

No other company is giving such ecosystem, reliability and This level of AI. ecosystem matters. Outer screen is enough wide as regular phone for easy to use with one hand.

No other company is providing IP48. Crease is minimal but it is due to IP48.

I have every samsung product from galaxy s3 and on. The s24 ultra the buds,i had fold 4,but i am really thinking on going to apple this september cause i am very frustrated with samsung being so compromised the last years. You just had to make the front screen bigger and put your best cameras to fold 6 and you just made the same phone although you knew what you had to do. Also iphone takes better pictures and videos. I am on vacation with my wife and we take the photos with her phone.that is a shame

Yes it is in the UK honor usually give 250 birdy discount and honor v2 cost 1700 vs fold5 1800 so basically honor v3 1700 with 250 birdy discount is 1450 that's 200 more than the s24 ultra

It's not a bad phone but coming from an s23u or s24u no one will give up the 100x space zoom, either 5x periscope or the 10x on the s23u, and the built-in spen is a must. Why get a bigger phone and have less features ? Yeah. Nope. Take a page from oneplus or even Huawei bringing a wider outer display and decent periscope zoom
