Beyond the detail that is clearly better on the Flip 5, it is the color management that impresses me more 😮 I really hope that Samsung will export this algorithm change to all its officially updated smartphones 🤞🏽

I expected nothing less from Danny. Kudos for this comparison! I'll just wait until next year for the bigger upgrade for Fold 6 and Flip 6.

It actually makes sense more financial sense to upgrade every year if you're using a Flip 4. It's only $50 after trade in ($900 off) and promo code ($50 off). I normally don't trade in phones unless the value is more than what i'd be able to sell for. If I was to wait til next year, the trade-in value would be hundreds less

really appreciate the comparison... upgraded from the Flip 3 to the Flip 5 a few days ago. Looks like i would no longer need to take out my iPhone 14 pro max more frequently now for taking non-critical photos. thanks.

@@StrawberryLegacy Ahh you probably are someone not familiar with how random photo opportunities happen. That's forgivable... As a photography enthusiast, I have a Sony MILC arsenal for planned shoots but for the unplanned random ones, I need something lighter but adequate. An iPhone is my usual go-to for this. Hope that helps :)

Nothing more than I would expect from the yearly software AI improvements which Samsung seems preoccupied with that rather than upgrading the camera's hardware. So as with most smartphone cameras, solid (above average) but very restricted though probably in line with the target audience. Very few photographers or videographers would put the Flip 5 on their Top 20 shortlist.

I need advice. I currently using iPhone 7 Plus and consider to upgrade my phone. I have 2 options between iPhone 14 pro and Z flip 5, which one is the best for camera and multi tasking?

Danny I know the camera on the flip 5 is no where close to the s23 ultra but we know the ultra is huge so what you ever trade it in for a flip 5

I think of getting rid of my 2 weeks old Flip 4 because of the camera, it sucks so much, especially no zoom. Coming from an S21 Ultra I am spoiled I must admit. However cameras should be a lot better on the Flip for the price, they are worse than Samsung A-series phones even. I used to take lots of pictures, now I can't be bothered, which is really frustrating...

I wonder if by now the flip 4 has had camera upgrades to close the gap? If these phones had a 3x optical camera I'd consider it.

I have a Fold 4. I think the sharpening is already too heavy. I don't like the artifacts. I recently installed Camera Assistant in Good Luck and put Photo Softening to medium.

What are the lenses that are used on Flip 5 cameras? Of Sony made or Samsung?

Samsung only uses Samsung product Iphone uses Sony sensors with LG lense

So no mayor changes, i guess ill wait for the 6

Clear improvement but just big enough from software and not big enough from hardware

6:10 Sony Xperia 1V can take pictures 100% blur free...

We realy spliting hairs all the phones take good pictures today. For me its how heavy is the phone . How much room does it take up in your pocket. I have samsung S20 ultra and 23 ultra both good phones very similar. The problem with these phone to heavy and stick out of your trouser pocket. When put in the inside pocket of your jacket the phone is so heavy it make the jacket sink and looks lopsided. So where i can i just use my samsung LTE watch. Its like been liberated and getting your shackles off. I feel free like we where before mobile phones. The samsung watch and I thought I never buy one. I might one day not have a mobile phone but I alway use a samsung watch.

Is this the same camera on the galaxy fold 5?

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a triple camera system with 3X telephoto and a 50MP high resolution sensor that can capture 8K video. Different setup.

The z flip is worth the upgrade but .... if u have z fold 3 or fold 4 It's not worth the upgrade to fold 5..

It is cause their trade in on your current phone pays for most of the phone. Where as next year your phone won’t be worth as much and you’d have to pay more for your phone

They Flip 4 and Flip 5 both have great camera systems. Slight improvements to taste on the 5 in terms of photos?. Not really. To me, I prefer the more natural look on the 4's camera. The over contrasting on the 5 is similar to that on IPhones. Unfortunately. Video wise, the Fold 5 takes it for detail capture, but once again the more natural look of video on the 4 is sometimes easier on my eye.
