For me, this is perfect. I only want an affordable tablet for eBooks, KZread and Netflix and basic email, notes, etc. This will last me for at least 5 years plus if not longer. Right now I'm still using a Google Nexus 7! LOL

Same. I mainly got mine for notes tho because it's really big but cheaper since I got a big discount when I bought mine. But I did downloaded mlbb for entertainment

I bought the Tab A8 as a replacement for my 10 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab bought in 2017 which had suffered a screen failure. I really only use the tablet to watch TV and KZread videos. Battery life is important to me so I think this will suit me. Thanks for your review.

Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

Great review, thanks. I was looking for a tablet solution mostly for basic workplace purposes like constant web email checking and for reading PDF docs. The A8 looks perfect for my needs. And I have other devices for my non-work gaming stuff.

Love your content bro. Right to the point, no flashiness, and you cover ALL the things we really care about when making purchasing decisions, and you do it with so little bias as possible. Respect. Quick question though.. why turn down the animation scaling instead of just turning it off? Preference? I usually just disable it, as I would rather have snappier performance than prettiness. But as before, preference.

Ver nice job on the review. The A8 is what it was meant to be - a general purpose android tablet well-suited for email, shopping, watching videos and light gaming, which is all I need in a tablet. I think if you are a serious s-pen user, even had this tablet included that capability, the tft screen and lack of horsepower would have made that a moot addition, adding cost without purpose. Those who need an s-pen generally shouldn't be looking at a mid-budget tablet. I like the Samsung A series tablets as they give a viable choice between budget-busting tablets or cheap, poor performance models. As always, the buyer needs to assess what they actually want to use the tablet for. My wife and I still use our Tab A10.1s (2019) daily and find that they are perfect for our intended usage.

Excellent video and much appreciated. I just recently bought this tablet for casual browsing and to take screenshots of certain items of interest and then store them on the tablet. No gaming really but that could change? You speak in day-to-day English that’s the casual person can understand. Most people don’t know what refresh rates or gigabytes or RAM means, but when you’re finished talking a person knows whether the tablet is for them or not. Had a older iPad and it wouldn’t allow me to add apps and was terribly slow so even though this is a budget tablet, I am looking forward to using it and certainly believe it will be much more convenient. Keep up the great work and know that you are appreciated. You have a friend in Columbus Ohio!

I have an old and lagging Samsung T510 tab...which I bought in 2014 for about 250 USD /(2500 Swedish crowns)...to my amazement there are no tabs that can beat that price with that screen reso., 290 PPi, it looks like a Retina screen. (10" with 2500 x 1600 !) I wish it would remain well working but it only has the Android 4.4. It's crazy that during 8 years they made steps BACK, for that money. Still, it seems that I need to buy the A8 because of the latest Android OS. Great review!

I got this 2 days ago as I was searching for a tablet i could use for my notes (im a first year pre med student) i got the 64gb wifi and its perfect for taking notes and the quick share between 2 galaxy devices as i have my a72 is smooth. Everything is running smoothly and no app crashes were encountered, thank you for the review!

@@anu-zm8ey for me the charging time takes about an hour? maybe 1 hour and 30 mins. however, I use my a 72 charger since its the 25 watt adapter, while the tablet has the old 15 watt adaptor.

@@anu-zm8ey with 5-7.5W (came with 7.5W charger) it took ages, with 10W 3-4h and with 20W slightly under 2h... But i would highly recommand to charge it over night with the 7.5-10W to keep the battery health, with over 10W the batterie will die in less then 2 years, with 10W and under it will be more 3-4 years till it get under the 80% death....

I've ordered this for my mother. I "think" it should be good enough for her to Google search and read content. Occasionally she might control Google Home enabled lights, temperature and cameras and maybe stream some video. The Samsung S series is essentially double or more the cost now but I do like that the $430 S7 FE offers both a 12.7" and stylus pen over the $190 10.5 A8 2022. IMO spending $400+ gets you into the Apple iPad tablet realm which IMO is the better option.

Thank you for not spitting on this tablet because it has Unisoc instead of Snapdragon. I mean yes, Snapdragon IS superior to Unisoc (not saying it's not), but this particular Unisoc Tiger T618 processor is pretty solid and stable.

I was considering get one for youtube and netflix purpose only.. maybe light web browsing too. So how is it for that? Does it lag compare to flagship cellphone? I have note 20 ultra and my 4 years old laptop I got from t-mobile promotion is just terribly slow compare to my phone. it is almost unusable to my taste because of delay on touch screen even with quad-core process.
