My wife still rocks her S8plus and refuses to let it go. Surprisingly the battery is still excellent, it’s super fast . I honestly don’t see any difference between her phone and my s22 ultra other than cameras.

First android phone I didn't have battery anxiety with. Still have it as it was the phone in the delivery room when my daughter was born

Am still using the Samsung Galaxy s8 plus in 2024

Just ordered a new digitizer, a new battery, and a new back for my s8+ I used in high school. Cracked front and back to smithereens. Excited to boot her back up after all these years. Bonus it actually has a fuckin micro sd slot, so I can use it to transfer files without pc.

I think for say a $100 budget, you could either buy this phone, the S8+ or you could buy a much newer but budget tier phone like the A14 and what I could say is that you most likely will still get better performance and build quality on the S8+, however on the A14, you are getting a much newer version of Android on that phone which is at least Android 13 compared to Android 9 on this phone. So I guess for a $100 budget, you could choose between better performance or a newer Android version with longer longevity. I think however if your budget is at least $300 to $400, then you could buy an older flagship phone thats still supported with software like the S21 or the iPhone XS or iPhone 11 or something like that.

Bro, i literally had an s8+, but I got the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (non 5g?), but they gave me the 5G, anyways I got it on ebay, and it came in Jan 5th, (~>15 day after ordering!).

The S24+ has 3 times the amount of ram this phone has. They upgraded the ram to 12 gigs

It's a phone, not a PC. Doesn't need more than 4 gb of ram.
