When will people learn that boot up, and benchmarks are not speed tests. You shouldn't use custom ROMs on speed tests either. If you are, at least have a stock one as well.

actually i didnt use stock rom but, S3 boot faster when it is stock (after trying slimrom13, or TW4.4.4) I could say that the S3 was faster when it is stock (as fast as my s6 without bloatware when comes to boot time)

I just did the geekbemch 3 test on my s4(snapdragon 600 version) and got 676 on sigle core compared to his 290(I also got 2136 on multicore), so it's really irrelevant. they should make the airview more widespread, making it a cursor. it would be nice, like showimg previews on youtube when jumping forward/backward. BUT THE OS LAGS QUITE A LOT, and i'm always cleaning the ram, cache, using nova launcher. the next step is a custom rom. in the 3 years I had it, it starts to show its age

Fair? It's just a comparison not a race. To me it was especially useful to see how good midrangers are these days.

The Alpha620 by the way, I have also tested my s7 edge with Antutu when I got it and I got 46'847 on 3D score and 135'983 total. His scores were a bit low, maybe in a very hot environment.

You can not use custom roms for such a test. This is incredibly inaccurate unless you use stock rom on a fresh device.

i have a galaxy s4 octacore version. in geekbench 3 i got 800 in single core and 2400 in multicore. in antutu 6.0 it scored 37000.

Using my S5 now. About to get an S8. The S5 is OK but it freezes a lot and the battery kinda sucks. Very slow now, even with minimal apps installed. On mobile data it's absolutely horrible.

The s7 and the s5 is the best looking but when you combine them both, you get the s6

only s3 is cheating with custom roms.

The s3 and s4 are so close because of the resolution difference. s3 has a 720p screen and s4 has a 1080p screen. those extra pixels use up a lot of processing power.

Please do a boot up speed test where you time each phone individually then compare times. I feel that doing it the way you did it is not very accurate.

First I had a galaxy ace for two years. then I got a LG g3 for two years now I have a s7 edge pretty good upgrades

Make sure to get a good case for it. I'd recommend Incipio, dropped phone many times while running and even once flew out of my hand and hit a brick wall, but phone was always protected. The one day I dropped my phone without a case the screen cracked.

i have the S4 LTE-A Version and it reaches in single core performance 983 and in Multicore Performance 2999 :D (snapdragon 800 4x2.34GHz, Adreno 330)

You should have an original stock running in S3 for a justifiable speed test.

still have my s5 and it runs great, still on first lollipop update lmao. Removed all the bloatware, has root access and twrp installed so I can flash roms if I want, put a 64 gb sd card in it runs like a champ :)

I have S7 Edge and that is Beast Of Beasts :)

I still use kitkat on my 2013 moto x, it's great

This is not real. You have installed a rom in some of the phones, and it changes a lot between the original android and the rom. A rom can make it faster or slower.

This was benchmarks not a speed test

Two devices are using custom ROMs (the S3 is using CM13 and the S5 is using an S6 edge+ ROM) on a "speed test". Oh well...

idk why you hide the screen lock pattern lol. we literally can't do anything with that information

I have both S5 and S6, both stock and the S5 was fast but nowhere faster than the S6, you should redo it with stock rom, it is not fair to have custom stack against bloated stock.
