Lesser known things I love about S23: vapor chamber cooling = never gets hot; light performance mode; you can set the max battery charge level to 85% which is really awesome for longterm battery life.

It is the sd 8 gen 2 why it doesn't get hot, not the cooler. Think about it, if it is producing heat how would it dissipate without heating the phone. An analogy would be ACs with big hot radiators outside
@srobeck77
Жыл бұрын
@@comfortable_east um AC units dont have a radiator, so your comparison isnt a real thing. I think you mixed up & were thinking a cars radiator is also part of the AC system....
@comfortable_east
Жыл бұрын
@@srobeck77 SD= snapdragon And SD 8 gen 2 is the SoC. It's efficiency (performance/watt) is on par with apple A16 bionic, there's a great video by Geekerwan. I didn't know the exact name of the structures in an AC (air cooler) so I looked up. The part I was referring to is apparently called the condenser, which is just a winding hollow tube with hot fluid running within it. Winding course provides it with higher surface area, which helps dissipate heat more efficiently. It is my bad for confusing it with a radiator, one dissipates heat by radiation and convection, the condenser by radiation convection and evaporation. According to the laws of thermodynamics, energy can neither be created nor destroyed, just converted from one form to another. A cooling system only “transfers” heat from one place to another. It doesn't magically vanish it. I still stand by my point because the s23 doesn't have fans in it like a gaming phone. So whatever heat it is producing has to come out from somewhere, which was the case for s22, but it doesn't. Meaning, the SoC has become a lot efficient. The cooling system you are mentioning is a minor factor in the thermal discharge by the phone. I hope I got my point out right this time.
@srobeck77

@@comfortable_east a condensor and radiator are not the "same thing" hence why they have different names. You confused yourself (again) by try to cut and paste google searched definitions without having a true understanding of things.
@comfortable_east
Жыл бұрын
@@srobeck77 Lol I admitted it was my bad for confusing the two, if you have read my comment properly. But they more or less perform the same goal, dissipate heat. The principle and mechanism they are based on are the same, even though they have different name. I know clock and watch are different things, but they work on the same principle and mechanisms (digital or analog). And what do you mean by having "true understanding"? Do I have to be a mechanical or electrical engineer to know and comment on things which are high school level science stuffs?

I always keep my battery between 80% and 30% and I am a power user but I would say you could get 6hrs of constant youtube, twitch, and various streaming with full charge and easily a full day if you are using regular apps and streaming just every now and then. I recommend spending a little bit of time in the battery settings menu, there is a light mode that extends battery life with a negligeable performance loss (unnoticeable in regular use and gets turned off in games automatically) and various modes and tweaks you can switch on and off + the usual list of apps you can prevent from consuming battery in the background

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! Thanks for watching
The 4k30 selfie video looks SO much better in the Galaxy, wow. I've been an iPhone user for almost 10 years, and I'm shocked at how extremely processed it looked compared to the Galaxy.
I have a S21, I'm struggling to decide whether to upgrade or not with trade in? what you reckon guys? Im looking at the s23 standard

dont upgrade yet.
I really wish there were more phones this size
Isn't the Zenfone 9 smaller than this though?
Very helpful review, sir! And love to see the kids. Adorable and heartwarming to watch.
