Exactly! This is what I hate about most camera reviews. When Samsung does it, it's unrealistic but when iPhone does it, the other phone looks okay but iphone's unrealistic colours look more beautiful. Like WTF!!

Great camera comparison! My only gripe is inconsistency in your preferences in regard to saturation/vibrance. Seems that when the S10 is more vibrant you mention how the punchy colors aren't realistic and that you prefer the muted colors of the iPhone. But when the XR has punchy colors and the Galaxy S10 has muted colors you don't seem to mind the enhanced saturation.

I noticed that too. When S10e is more vibrant then its said the Xr is more 'natural'. But when its reversed and the Xr is more vibrant (less natural) then the S10e is said to be 'faded'.

Yeah I remember back in 2016 when she compared the wash out image of iphone 7 compare to the vibrant image from samsung galaxy s7 she still pick the photo of iphone 7. But now in 2019, the Iphone XR is a bit more vibrant compare to the S10e but still she prefer the photo from Iphone XR. I don't maybe she's an iphone user that's why no matter what happen she still pick the photo coming from Iphone.

14:55 You're basically comparing two totally different photos here. The S10e pic has an exposed car headlight which causes that potato quality effect, whereas on the XR, there's a person covering the headlight which results in a slighty better photo.

Agreed. The flower pic on the iPhone look more saturated than the s10e. Didn't look like it's real color. It's a hit and miss on both cameras. I mean if you a selfie freak than I guess get the iPhone but other than that, the rear cameras could go either way.

It'll be very odd to say this video isn't biased at all. More credit is given to the Xr despite its many flaws

You can edit the picture a lot more on the S10e because it keeps all the details in the shadows whereas the XR crushes the shadows and doesn't keep details.

MJ Lequin I saw the video. She declared the s10 plus better overall. Even if she does like the iPhone better she’s entitled to her own opinion. Call me what you want fandroid but even though I’m an Apple fanatic I’m not a Samsung hater nor an android hater. I’m a fan of tech. Both cameras are great. You guys are the ones who treat Apple like they killed someone in your family. It’s all on personal preference. Also it’s the same way the other way around. Android has bashed Apple for doing many things to their phones over the years and then turned around and did the same thing with their phones like non removable battery, glass back (since the iPhone 4 that people said was easy to break), removing headphone jack and requiring dongle (with an exception of Samsung galaxy phones, other android phones did it though). Also people used to say iPhones were too small and light but now that the XS Max has a bigger screen than your phone if not all phones now all of a sudden it’s too big and heavy and you guys prefer smaller and lighter. You guys talked shit about 3D Touch and I saw a video saying Samsung is gonna put a similar feature on their next generation phones. I’m gonna see how much you fandroids are gonna all of a sudden love it.

UNO Sheem not in all categories. In some categories and under certain circumstances one can be better than the other and vice versa. I’ve even heard experts have mixed opinions. The iPhone definitely has better looking video but not by much.

I think the iPhone does incredible on the front camera, and I give it the edge there. On the back camera I prefer the S10 with more real life colors. Also on the S10 you can install a version of Google Camera which improves the low light and exposure. Both are really good, thanks for the video!

Great comparison video! It was very thorough and your analysis of both cameras on both phones were great. I like how the the camera's on the Galaxy S10e are bright and bring in a lot of light, but like you said they do not always look realistic. I think the iPhone XR cameras produce more realistic photos but struggles in low light. However, one can always use the flash in low lighting and I think the XR would be able to compete with the Galaxy S10e in quality. Both phones are great with taking videos! Overall, I like both phones and I enjoyed watching this comparison.

stop using your face as the object of camera comparisons, such a boring. we need more colors in the picture but when you're using your face over than once, how can we find which one is better?

Boths phones are saturated and punchy but iPhone is ok. I don't get it. That's when you know you a iPhone lover lol.

No that's how you know when iPhones are overrated...

I can understand that you like iPhone. But truth is SAMSUNG S10e is far better than iPhone XR.

Hi Krystal, great camera comparison videos! Great job!! Did you ever consider doing a camera comparison of the upcoming Sony Xperia 1? It will apparently have great camera tech built in from the Sony Alpha camera series so it would be interesting to see how it holds up against S10 or the newest Huawei line. Would love to see a comparison between Xperia 1 & S10 😍😍.

Why did you say that you prefer the saturated colors on the xr but back then when the Samsungs had saturated colors preferred the natural colors on past iphones?

You know that iPhone keeps your picture look natural-y But you know people have a different opinion

I think if iPhone had the same quality night time pictures like the galaxy s10 I'd be way happier with iPhone.

Many people criticize the video about the preference of the colors. If you used both Samsung and Apple phone cameras you should know the problem. Samsung is very inconsistent. Not only Samsung, but most of the Android phones are bad at this. Apple is amazing at keeping both vibrant and natural at the same time. It implements P3 color profile for both camera and display, unlike many Android phones where only display is in P3.

85% iPhone XR, 15% GS10e: so often skin tones on the Sammy were blown out and the colour shift made you look ill! Most low light shots were better on the GS10e. Pity the iPhone doesn't have any ultra-wide angle.

I love your videos as well, but I think you let your own biases get the best of you. From an observer's perspective I actually think the S10e's photos are much more immediately eye-catching and flattering in comparison to the darker iPhone's pictures. Who else thinks this?

Samsung's photo is saturated : This is a bad thing, iPhone's realistic colours are better. iPhone's photo is saturated : When you get a photo like this straight out of a smartphone camera, this is nuts. What type of logic is this?

I just don't get tech reviewers, when the image from samsung phone is vibrant, it's a bad thing because it's "unatural" but when the image from an iphone is vibrant, it's a good thing and still "better" than samsung. I don't get the logic.
