Yeah, now imagine future apps coming out making that 1 second load up into 5 seconds or etc. Not to mention, the responsiveness and etc will also take a hit. It's to compare the processing speed and capacity of the chip.

This is how you SHOULD do a comparison video, with identical wallpapers, sounds crazy, but it really helps show the difference in screen in most cases

I've had my s8 for awhile...bought a new one after some ass stole it in Brazil and I couldn't be happier to have my s8 back

"S10 is way faster". Lord knows I need my clock app to open 0.2 seconds faster. Well worth the money.

Basketball uce most likely. Just keep checking for updates manually. Mine is unlocked so maybe that’s why I got it sooner

Well i would be disappointed if the s10 wasnt faster than the s8 when it has 8gb of RAM. S8 still got it tho. I get alot of compliments that my screen legit looks like its realistic.

Been an s8+ guy since it came out,and finally upgraded with the s10+. Even pre-ordered it just to get an early hands on review. Honestly I miss my s8+ 😤😤😣😣🙄😥

Maybe there was a hardware problem with the fingerprint scanner on the S8. I never had issues with the scanner on mine.

I had the S8+ ... It was a brilliant phone - never let me down once... I was sad to let it go, traded into the Samsung Store for the S10+. I would highly recommend the S8+.

I still use the s8 and after one UI update it has just become a beast of a phone

Seriously, do the finger print sensor better. It isn't that hard, dude. I use it all the time and it is easy and fast.

Nice video, never had an issue with my s8 finger sensor. I do notice that after like 4 months I have to delete and re add my fingerprints because it seems to be less accurate over time. I just re-register them occasionally when it gets sluggish

I've had my S8 since January 2018 and it works very good, I love it. I don't plan on upgrading for a while.

Watching on my s8+ and this phone is still a beast with everything it does.

Watching on my s8+ and the only reason I'm upgrading to the 10 tomorrow is because I just cracked my screen. I always rocked the gel case it came with and never used a screen protector. Not a scratch aside from all the nice cracks now. Still a solid device and you can now buy them second hand in New condition for a little over 200 if you know where to look. Maybe less?!

Upgraded from S8+ yesterday. General software there isn't a whole lot of difference. But the camera is a whole new level on the S10.

Because the S10 has such slim bezels, it makes the S8 look like it has HUGE bezels XD I can't believe I used an S8 before! I'm loving my S10;) The S10 does not have a pressure sensitive phone button. I LOVE the in display fingerprint scanner:) The S10's scanner works faster when you press with a little bit of pressure but then remove your finger, so you're almost tapping it.

It will be interesting to see when Samsung releases a phone with no chin at all and can some how hide the camera under the display like the fingerprint sensor. I'm using an S10 as my daily driver now and love it. The hole punch is ALOT better than a notch.

For those people that own a sg8 and thinking to get the sg10 to me the sg8 still have the power to keep with everyday use. I got a few apps that doesn't want to work with android 10. The sg8 fill like a more polish phone.Also I like a little bit more the galaxy 8 screen. If you are coming from a sg8 don't paid more than $550 for the sg10.

S8 has more elegant display look than s10. I hate that camera hole on s10. Like it's something missing lol

I have an s8 and I really like it. I like the way music sounds on it. I don't like the way music sounds on more recent models. I think it's the multiple speakers, or maybe the speaker placement.

S8 is still one of the best phones

You'd have to swipe down the notification bar (twice to show all toggles) and press the button that says "Wireless PowerShare" and then it will bring up a message showing you how to use PowerShare. Remember, everytime you want to use this feature, you have to do the steps above.

My S8 plus fingerprint sensor works perfect.

When you do these tests remove the animations so both phones can reach their full potential

Yeah no shit the S10 is better, it also cost three times what the S8 is going for.

Yea no shit, the point is to show what the differences are when you're upgrading from an s8 to an s10. So you know what you're getting.

New incoming software slows the phone down. I haven't installed software since January 2018 and now it's as fast as s10

S8 doesnt have problem with fingerprint, problem is your position of finger bcs you scaned it bad in settings

Hate to break it to you, but the S8 got One UI and Pie. It just depends on the carrier. I bought mines used and unlocked. It was with sprint before. Currently with Metro. A friend of mines has an S8 from at&t and unlocked, but their latest update was with Touchwiz and Oreo. If I tried manually updating it, it'll erase everything via ADB sideload so I left it at that version instead.

i use a case on my s8, no problem with finding the finger print sensor. still loving my s8, well not as much with the pie update but yes still love my s8

I still enjoy using my Samsung Galaxy S8.

I recently went from a S8 to a Pixel 6 (yuck) to a galaxy S21. My fave is def the S8. It's my fault for the falls that came close to ruining the camera.. S8 is easily used by one hand. The screen is still vivid and to me even clearer than the s21. Plus you've got sd slot. I'll be buying a refurbished s8 or an s10.

I have the s8+ on one UI and I will not upgrade now for another 6mths.

Never had an issue with the s8 fingerprint sensor. I was excited about the s10 but after seeing reviews there isn't enough of a difference (change) from the s8 to justify dropping such a large amount of money on it.

@@DD-ee8ih On my s8, battery is almost unusable at times, have to keep bt location and sync off in order to get more than 3 hours of battery life, and whenever the battery runs out, the phone completely stops working and I have to charge it for a while, disconnect it, enter the factory reset mode and an android guy who's dead will appear and the phone will reboot, only work to ever get the phone to woek after running out of battery life. Probably have got a defective unit though, and I still love my device when it works its truly great

You can put hades android 11on a 8. I don't know how but a friend of mine has it and one ui is on it and it's frickin awesome

To get the power share to work hold down the power saving app and you will see the option to reverse chaging.

No notifications led on s10 which is a drawback until Samsung come up with camera ring led to work as notifications led. Hope they update this issue soon. I got s8 and it's been great but I like the 8gb speed over 4gb.

Ok folks for those who have their s8 fingerprint scanner and having trouble using it (Been two years man, but damn. Unless that's a hardware problem with your scanner you got to learn to adapt) Register your index finger in your biometrics multiple times in different angles it will pretty much eliminate that fingerprint problem of yours. I use mine and I have zero problem unlocking my phone instantly. It's up to you to make it work it's called, adapting. Don't just start bitching like a 6 year old brat because you it didn't work the first time there is always a solution like some people on youtube. Because you don't see where you have to press you have to go with feeling and repetition until you get the muscle memory right. It will be smooth sailing after that. It's like lifting weights your form will be weird and funny, you have to keep working on it to get it right. (If it's faulty scanner I feel sorry for you man lol, props for sticking with it for two years though that's two years of frustration lmao) And for speed? 1 second difference? Oh man if only! only! I had a phone that's a second faster I would have slept a little longer ohhh yeah! 1 second of sleep more that's sooooo good! these reasons are so ridiculous. It's like people who make mobile reviews and goes "Alright this phone comes with the new snapdragon chip [Scrolls the phone menu up and down] Holy fucking shit that is amazingly fast! I mean did you guys see that? DID YOU GUYS SEE HOW FAST IT SCROLLED UP AND DOWN! I can't believe my eyes! it was all a blur!!! GET IT GET IT! Yeah guys definitely worth $1000. Regarding the Battery, Turn off auto sync, close your apps, go to device maintenance and if you use wifi turn off data and vice versa [you can even automate this with different apps in the google play store], Leave It charging at night it make your battery life last longer. Smartphone technology is already starting to peak folks unless there is a new ground breaking tech coming out the s8 is still way too good of a phone to replace. Don't let the hype get you guys I used to switch phones every year and I regret it the money I could have saved LOL! Lesson learned. Best realistic advice I will give for you guys is you have an s8 keep it love it utilize it. If you guys really love the look of the s10, or your s8 battery is already so bad it can't last half a day or really need the s10 features go ahead bro and buy it, I know that feeling. But for those thinking if they should and they still love their s8 keep it, don't let the hype get to you, you can always do a little adapting invest that $1000 instead. Be smart with your money and don't let hype over something waste it, it is never worth it.

My s7 after recent software update it's getting fast. I'm surprised Samsung did these kind of things. Especially after install Samsung 'task changer'. The recent apk seems seamless

I have still s8.. I'm not saying that s10 isn't better phone (it's newer) but my s8 is working perfecly fine with one ui. I have customized it , and it have that modern look like new samsung devices. I will use it few more years and upgrade when s12 or s13 comes out.. that will be worthly upgrade.

My s8 finger print sensor works cherry. In my opinion it is nearly twice as fast as my new s10 fingerprint sensor. Many times with my s10, I have to either "press harder" or reposition my finger to get it to work properly.

One UI isn't going to begin to show up on US snapdragon variants until about Q2 2019

I refuse to get rid of my brand new galaxy s8 for a phone with practically gimmicky upgrades. Samsung if you do not update the s8 to android 10 I'm jumping ship. I'm tired of these damn companies taking our money for nothing when the phones we got are more than capable of receiving software support for years but because of corporate greed they will never satisfy us existing people. I mean eventually I will have to get rid of it because of the battery so instead of banking on software to get people to upgrade they just need to wait for the phones we have now to get old and deal with it until WE want to upgrade never forcing us in subtle ways to do so
