2 month owner's review on the A71. it's a great phone, a great an amazing "value for money" purchase! it's very quick, excellent battery life, great display, 3.5 mm jack. very happy with my choice. I don't see a reason for spending much more on a S10 or S20 other than some functions I don't see myself using. The only negative I noticed is that fingerprint unlock does not work perfectly, and sometimes I need to use my finger prints several times or use "another print" to unlock. I am using a screen cover, and it could be related to that. Nevertheless, all in all it's a great phone and I am very happy with my purchase. Not a smartphone maniac and find that for the normal user it's plenty enough, good quality. Recommended 10/10

@Tsyuna Desu well duh, it's an optical fingerprint scanner compared to iPhone's physical scanner. All physical scanners are faster than optic based ones.

@Tsyuna Desu actually Samsung's implementation is more secured compared to other optical fingerprint scanners out there which scans the fingerprint so fast that I'm almost having doubts about it's security. Better to have a slightly slow scanner than a fast unsecured one.

True, the optical fingerprint scanner is complete rubbish. I suggest to use face unlock, way faster and more reliable although you sacrificed a bit in terms of security but it's no big deal tbh. I set it up on my mom's A50, definitely improve her experience to unlock the phone 😁

So this is still a better buy than other brands with lower price tags like One Plus Nord, Mi Note 10 Lite and Redmi 10x Pro? I'm totally considering this when it comes to security features. Just an average daily user by the way.

Still rocking my A71 4G in Feb. 2022. A full charge is still lasting a whole day. It's supposed to get Android 12 in about a month and Android 13 next year. Definitely worth the money.

Samsung mid-rangers are so far so good I've been using A50 and by my experience, it's smooth and has a good gaming experience !! Fingerprint also works very well and the camera quality is great Overall Samsung A series is Great !!

Im still using my 4 years old Xiaomi phone with very bad battery the a71 would be an excellent upgrade

I have this phone 2 yrs now and really loved its excellent features esp the camera. The battery still works well. Now, i want A73!

This for me is the best "value for money" phone. My only cons though after using it for 6 months: 1. You almost won't feel it vibrating in your pocket because vibration is sideways. I missed alot of important calls because I did not feel it vibrating in my pocket. 2. Fingerprint scanner works 20% of the time or less when you're out in the field (dirty/oily/wet finger). This does not happen on my S8. 3. Speaker is loud but meh.

Just got this phone (previous phone was OnePlus 5). This phone is probably my best one to date, screen is beautiful ofc, fast as hell, all around a perfect phone for me. Only thing I recommend is a nice big case for it

Just bought it from Ozone. Can't wait to get it! Thanks for the good phone review and for the battery life test because i've seen varying comments about it and your comparison was useful for me. Even more, the camera looked very good for its price range and as i tend to take a lot of photos, this was a must characteristic. Thanks again!

have this phone for a week and love it. It feels pretty "flagship" to me, it's not a cheap phone in any way. Performance is very good, display is great, battery life is GREAT, latest android and samsung software tech (look it up). It has a quality feel. I don't have a single complaint and it doesn't make sense to me to buy the much more expensive "flagship" phones. I find it a waste and I never use cheap products. It's a pretty big phone (perhaps the only downside!) and it doesn't fit your pocket, but on the other hand watching videos and reading emails is much more comfortable. 10/10 for me considering price/quality.

I'm really scared of the word "Flagship". I own a Nokia 8, which they claimed it as Flagship. I had lot of expectation from Nokia and it was in vain. It was a disaster and I'll never buy a Nokia phone and won't suggest anyone to buy it. I noticed screen burn after 3 months. Poor battery backup. Phone hangs frequently. Battery is done in 2 years. No wonder... Nokia is never from Finland again...

Havent owned a flagshio device in years now, with the A series i dont think i ever will.

I hope to have A71 as a gift for my coming birthday.

I did not know about the A series until Oct 2019, before that I had Galaxy S8+ it got old, so it was time to upgrade my only option was S10+ as I need audio jack for some stuff, then after researching found the A70 and got it full price and it the best decision I ever made, amazing phone great price, has every thing I need good camera, great screen, Dolby Atmos, everything I would ever need, and I am a super techy person and I am unexpectedly very happy with it. Also I am waiting till 5G goes full mainstream and my next update is the A71 5G, not too expensive has everything I need and 5G with great battery life everything about the A70 and A71 I love it.

I've been using the Galaxy A71 for a few days day and honestly? Well good news as I've been going over the main most important things that to me are important in a phone which are: 1 x Battery life will get you through the day with middle to heavy use with an easy 20-50% battery left from 8.00am - 11.00pm 2 x both the ear piece and loud speakers are very good (great call quality) 3 x the signal strength is very good as is the WiFi along with fast down and upload speeds 4 x the screen is of excellent quality being clear and very very bright 5 x the cameras are also very good taking really good photos and very clear stable video recording 6 x the phone is also surprisingly light in the hand so it's not heavy at all 7 x both the finger print reader and face unlock are fairly quick (not OnePlus speeds but around 1 second) 8 x the processor in this phone alone with 6gb ram is super quick (the fastest mid range phone I've ever used) 9 x value for money I'm happy to recommend this phone to anyone because at a 3rd of the cost of most flag ship phones.

As someone who had a SG A10 for close to 2 years now and is looking to upgrade. The A20, A21, A50, A51 and A70 all can be bought for under $300 It's the A71 in the SG A series where price really jumps but yet still affordable compare to iphones. So I went ahead and got a A70. Not really a photo person. Can't wait for to get here!

My kids have smashed the screen of my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge phone, so it's time for a compulsory change. I was hoping to get an S10, but given that l had been jobless for 12 months now, I will go for an A phone. A relative of mine bought the a71 and it looks pretty decent and solid. Switching from S to A, I will lose three key features: water resistance, wireless charging, and the front and back glass. But I guess I have no option. Actually even the a71 is expensive for me. it costs a little bit over 400 dollars in my country and I'm saving them dollar by dollar. Nice review by the way. It is so quiet, focused and to the point. It made even more convinced that I made the right decision.

For A series phones, add 2 fingerprint of the same finger, plus go to settings remove animations and increase touch sensitivity

@@mr.a8510 Yes i said "toned down"? In day to day performance 730 is as good as 855 and display is same samoled with no HDR certification for both. Moreover i am against the whole idea of charging earphones/headphones for good audio to use it (except bullets wireless 2).

Good choice bro. A50 is such as equal than a71. Youre only wasting ur money if you buy a71. Its built material is not good.

The camera is the only thing that bums me of my A70. I won't upgrade since my phone isn't even a year old, but I can't wait to see what will be in the mid range next year!

My only complaint about this phone is the size. It feels so bulky in my pockets. I did use a Samsung Galaxy S7 for 4 years so I'm used to smaller phones 😅

I'm almost sold except for the battery part. The M51 has a battery capacity of 7000mhA which any other available mid-range phones still hasn't beaten. I think i'm sticking with the M51 :D

Using it in 2024. Still doing great. Better performing than the phones they are offering now a days.

@@littyagain if you have more much money you can buy the s10 lite because it have snapdragon 855 . If you don't , yes it worth it : excelent cameras , very good performance in the games ( playing smoothly cod mobile with very high settings and very high frame rate ) , batterie life is excelent also . In general , it's a great phone I recommend it .

My experience with the A50s is this. Great screen Good battery life Good cameras Bad fingerprint sensor Laggy performance. overall not bad :)

SD 730? Hell yeah. Now this is a mid-range phone I can get behind. If only the UI was different. (Also half of these review videos are about the cameras. Is that really what people use their phone for most of the time?)

OxygenOS vs OneUI. 30W vs 25W (45W) charging. USB 3.1 vs USB 2.0. Non-Expandable Memory vs MicroSD support. UFS 3.0 vs UFS 2.1. 3800mAh vs 4500mAh. Now choose what are your priorities and compare the above. Then go for whichever suits your need.

Got this phone after my S20 Ultra got stolen. Sincerely, sometimes I think that i deserved to be robbed, spending +1000 on a phone is just retarded. Besides the camera, I can't see any major difference in my use requeriments. This thing is fast, has a lost of storage, good battery life and fingerprint scanner is faster than S20 Ultra.
