I bought 3 A71's for each of us in my family last June, so had them 5 months in. Still a great phone, great value. A highly recommended buy.

Bro ur wallpaper is genius. It makes the phone look like the hole punch isn't there. Very cteative

There’s a lot more like these out there, I’ve seen other youtubers with this wallpaper and many other ones that cleverly hide the hole punch.

I primarily use my Note 20 ultra but won the A71 a week ago, received it yesterday. I'm blown away by how premium it feels & the specs are amazing, even the 4K video quality is decent.

I have had the A71 for less than a month. So far I like it much better than the Stylos I had.

i've had my a71 for 3 weeks already. Previously owned an iphone 7 and the battery wasn't great, was considering the oneplus nord until i found this phone. Gotta say the performance is better than i expected and the screen is definetely amazing. No regrets at all getting this phone. Still worth it to buy right now!

I switched from a iphone 1q to the A71 and im very happy with this phone

i also have both the s20+ exynos and the A71. When it comes to benchmarks, A71 is not even close to the s20+. But in real life, both on optimized mode, oh my g... the s20+ really lags on gaming not even close to the A71. You have to be always on performance mode to play the games like the PUBG, identity V, NBA 2k20, etc. These games can be played A71 even on the highest setting. S20+ is a flagship phone when it comes to features, reponsiveness, camera, the screen, etc, but not with gaming. A71 is a beast. You even got more on what you've paid for.

Traded in my S10 for one and got money back too. Gotta say can't notice any speed differences or anything out the ordinary in day to day use. Great review 👏 👌

I can now officially say i'm watching this on my Samsung Galaxy A71.(Edit) I really think that this phone will serve you well and is way better than average for the price. It's fast enough to carry out the average user's tasks without any major problems.

A comprehensive overview of the New Samsung Galaxy A71. It looks beautiful and I've still not heard anything negative about its performance and technical abilities, so that's a really big bonus as watching some smartphone reviews influences the way you feel about certain new mobile devices. @foxy 94 absolutely no issues whatsoever. If you're on the fence, go ahead and get it. It IS a pretty big screen tho so people with smaller hands might wanna go with the A51. Its slightly smaller. But if size isn't an issue, then this is the phone to get. They also have 5g variants of each the A51 and A71. Cost more tho

Owner of A71. The battery life is good for me. I wouldn't say it is great but having fast charge I don't if the battery drains. For everyday day performance this phone is brilliant 👏 I don't play games so I can't report on that I have the 8GB model. No regrets on my purchase i will not purchase a "flagship" from anyone period. My next phone when I need one will be the another samsung A series.

I owned and used a Galaxy A6+ for the past 2 years, great phone overall but it was always laggy. I just ordered a A71 and I can't wait for it show up! Thank you for your videos.

Upgraded from the Note 4 to the A71 - I still can't believe how long this phone can go without needing a charge. During my daily use my Note 4 would need to be charged twice and yet at the end of a working day I still have around 45% left with the A71 👍😀

I had an s20 that cost $1400 and a mouth into owning it i broke the screen and bent the phone, Was devastated to find out it was 4 to 5 hundred dollars to fix, instead bout the A71 for $560 and im in love with it the only difference I can't tell between phones is three things... speed, screen and camera and there is literally bugger all difference unleast your a full tech nerd, I would recommend this phone 100 times over because of price and quality, cheers

I liked the way u did the whole phone info..I'm planning to buy this A71. I live in Dubai so I will be buying Dubai version with warranty😉..specs are the same as this 8 GB ram 128gb internal,for me the most important thing about this is the duel sim+ external memory slot...I don't think there are many phones out there with this particular features none of the flagship specially...I look forward to your other videos..I'm currently using Huawei Nova 2plus..it's a few years old...and I was a a huge Huawei fan from Samsung cause samsung was not making any quality mid range phone until now with the A51 A71 and A71 5g...a lot of good reviews on the A series..

Thanks a lot! And let me say I am jealous that you live in Dubai! I was and still am a huge fan of Huawei phones. Since the mate 20 I've been hooked. However since huaweis recent battle with the states, and losing support of the Google play store, it renders the phone useless in north America without side loading the store independently! I think you'll love the A71. I'm curious, how much does it cost in Dubai?

I just got the A71 so it has different prices..in dubai..online Amazon,noon or local market it cost 1200aed(329$ 🇺🇸) 1450aed(398$🇺🇸)in the malls..specs are the same as international market 8gb ram 128gb built in snap dragon 730..one year standard warranty and trust me when u talk about dubai...I would say "grass looks greener on the other side" so it is not really what it seems...specially in this covid times..

im planning on upgrading to this phone from my a5-2016. still saving my money though, maybe next month😁

Great review!why so few subs?Keep doing the good work. U are right with 'How fast we need the phone to be?'Most of people buy expensive flagships with so many features and they don t know how to use them..or they don t really need them. I m thinking to buy the A71 this days.Good value for the money u pay.For me is important the battery life..the screen..the dual sim and the sd card.

Great choice! Xiaomi is going to grab a huge market share in the coming years, just watch! The Xiaomi Mi10 is a steal of a device - actually one that I was considering purchasing for quite some time. However, in Canada, the phone is not released natively by Xiaomi, so we go through third party sellers that increase the price to match other flagship phones. If you are in a region that sells Xiaomi phones for MSRP, go for it 100%! I have been using the Exynos S20+ for the past month or so, and I just did a video on how badly the phone overheats due to the chipset - so good choice on staying away from Exynos. kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIeBl8OQZrXcmNI.html

@@ultiprice Thx for the reply..I m in Europe and most of the phones are more expensive than anywhere alse..even the Samsung A71 is still around 390 € even more in some shops and the Xiaomi mi 10 128 gb is around 600 eur :)..but from China i found it around 480€ with shipping included.. and no Xiaomi Store where i am so i will order the Global version of the phone straight from China.

Great video! I like the subtle notes on the home screen widget. When this review was shot, did the device have the one ui 2.1 update?

Got mine for 150 at Walmart. Single Sim though but heck that's a pretty good trade off. I'm coming from an a11 because at&t won't be supporting my dual Sim a11. Such a decent jump difference for me. Love it.

I still have The Samsung galaxy a 71 to this day and it does not disappoint me very good phone

My 5s just broke down after 6 years of great servitude. I was considering the ip11 when my mom passed me her spare a50. Maybe it's just because i was using the 5s for too long but the a50 suffices all my daily needs. So im probably gonna get the a71 for the little extra specs bump and screen size. Hope it can last me another 4 years

Buy the lg v50 2019 flagship. Oled 1440p res. 530 ppi density, aluminum frame glass back and front protected by gorilla glass 6 ip68 water resistant, snapdragon 855. And has the better camera for only $300

I have the A70 (the 2019 iteration of this phone) and I am thinking of upgrading next year. The A71 is a solid upgrade but Samsung is gonna be launching the A72 next year so I'm gonna wait for it.

I used to have the A50 for 14 months, then had big issues with charging and hardware. Three duds later I almost abandoned Samsung products. I decided to give it one more chance and selected the A71 5G. I've only had it a few days and so far so good. The phone has a nice feel and is quite quick between functions. Charging is super fast! Time will tell!

Hi Michael best wishes from Ireland great review I just have a few questions I am changing my phone one is definitely the Samsung a71 two things I ask how does it work with a screen protector to save screen and with specs I am looking at 8 GB ram and increasing the storage to 256gb from 128gb what would you think of this as a good phone to buy as I was looking at Huawei p30 pro special edition with emui10 but it is getting awful bad reviews with being installed to such a good phone best wishes 🙋🙋👍👍

Hello! Firstly, the A71 works just fine with a screen protector. It even has a mode to increase the screens sensitivity if needed. Secondly, you do not need to upgrade the base storage. Save the money and buy an external SD card and just use that if needed, as the phone as expandable storage. Third, I wouldn't recommend the P30 at this point, until huawei can come to terms with google politically. Thanks for watching !

I'm using a Galaxy J7 Prime (Galaxy On 7 Prime in other countries) for 3 years, it's doing good but I feel like it's time to upgrade. Here in Brazil, the flagships have a ridiculous high price, no one can afford a Galaxy S20 or a iPhone 11 for example, so the A71 is good enough for me! Saving money to buy this beautiful phone...

@@ultiprice The J7 have a ok performance, not as good as it was back in 2017, but not bad at all. The A71 costs here around R$ 2.000,00, almost $400,00 dollars, but the salary here is very low, you need to work 2 to 3 months to buy the phone...

@@josericardogs1435 As someone who recently bought the phone it's perfectly fine for a mid tier phone and it's definitely better than the stylo I had.

Question how much bloatware is one this phone?...is it a reasonable/unreasonable ammount? And does the bloatware take up a lot of ram? and/or drain battery uncessarily?

Fingerprint sensor totally sucks. I tried who knows how many times with several different fingers to enter it into the phone. After applying the finger 50 times in different ways it either tells you that it can't complete it, or everything seems to be fine until you actually want to use it and then it won't recognize it however you try. Seriously considering bringing it back.

Yeah. Especially now that we are using a lot of hand sanitizer it makes it worse. Well one work around is to make sure your hand is moisturized with lotion. Another is to just use the face unlock, seems to work better.

Hey thanks for watching! So Amazon is the cheapest place to buy the A71 in Canada at the moment and it is where I bought mine. Because it is an international version, it's hit or miss with the warranty. I've never had to warranty any of my phones before, but I did read online that some people are able to get warranty claims in Canada for various issues. You will have to go to a Samsung retail outlet to start the process or call in to their hotline. Plus, Amazon has a 30 day return window, so usually if there is a manufacturer defect, you will find out during that time window. Also, the sellers on Amazon are also hit or miss. I had to return my first A71 because the seller sent an open box used one - the second seller sent a new one. On the link I provided, you can see other sellers on the same listing page. All sellers send the phones to Amazon FBA and get shipped out via Prime, so if you don't get a great seller the first time, just return and order from a different seller. Hope this helps!

I get the A71 tomorrow. I first ordered the s10 plus from Amazon but it came with dead pixels so sent it back. Currently I'm using the s8 plus which I've been completing satisfaction for years now with its performance. Only reason I'm changing phones is because of the larger screen and 6gb ram plus additional updates that the S8 plus is no longer receiving. Do you think the A71 will compare or outperform this flagship S8 plus of 2017 ?

Awesome, congrats! I think you will enjoy the overall experience of the A71 much more.

Common Marketing tactics and echo chambers have made me think that having any SD 7xx series SoC in your phone is apparently slow, just got the A71 and I will say, the 730 (and the G version in the Philippines which I apparently got) does not disappoint, any and all games I play run incredibly smoothly, micro stutters are rare. I prefer to keep the animations on though, I'm a sucker for those, multitasking's fine, especially if your phone has more ram than your PC as in my case.

Can you please tell me how you made your icons smaller and that clean finish on the phone and thank you

The screen upgrade will be enormous. The XR still uses an LCD panel. Switching to this OLED will be night and day difference.

Go for the Samsung A71 for sure. You should be able to pick it up within your budget.

Do you Need two sim cards?

I am looking at the A71 for dual sim uses. I've used Samsung and iPhone and don't favore either. If I get the XS max with the E-sim can I use both? GSM for E-sim and CDMA for physical sim?

And the iPhone is the only one with both frequencies in one phone? Is there another phone (android or ??) That has both GSM & CDMA?

I got the a71 5g from t-mobile, traded the s7 edge for $300

Have you tested this phone while also using two sims? I don't know if the problem is just with this phone or every phone has to have something adjusted but I don't seem to receive some calls on sim2. And it's not when phone is busy. I can be holding it in my hand doing nothing and all of a sudden I get a notification that I missed the call... I don't know how to fix this. I need two sims to be working.

I'm trying to understand if this phone is VoLTE compatible on ATT when they drop 3g in February. I have the older A50 dual sim card model and can't find any reference to VoLTE. Can anyone assist. Nice review.

Well voLTE is just voice over LTE, so as long as the A71 picks up the LTE signal, there shouldn't be a problem. The A71 shouldn't have any issues with the LTE bands of ATT.

i saw some people talking about a problem when they uploading photos or videos on facebook or instagram or messenger they became very bad quality not as good as the original in phone gallery app did they fix this issue or no

I never had this issue. I would think it has more to do with the app optimization or settings rather than the phone or hardware.

Hey I have the a71 and I love it. But the problem I've been having problems with both freezing up and the camera giving me a message of a malfunction and then it shuts off. I don't know if a update will fix these problems or not. Other than that I love it. I use my phone for work and it handles it with no problem.

Could be a software bug. Though the camera does lag sometimes. I am sure it will be addressed in a future update.

Hi, I have a question. Is it possible to play on this phone with high / ultra high graphics settings? And then the phone lags? I know that when you have a lot of applications in the background it freezes but normally I close applications in the background so more power would go to the game. Is it possible to get better graphics or buy a different phone?

For gaming this phone is perfectly sufficient to play all of the newest games. It only really lags when you multi task or have a lot of applications open.

I just bought that phone and it came without a SIM card? It has a dual sim tray which I will only use for USA. I have a tracfone account. How do I go about getting it up and running? Where do I get a SIM card and what do I do to get it activated to tracfone for a yearly service I haven't turned it on to go through a setup? I am thinking it needs a s SIM card first? You’ll likely have to call your mobile services provider to get a SIM card first. The phone doesn’t include one.

Honestly I feel like it is a limitation with software and not hardware. It is just the system not indexing search terms properly to save storage or memory. I have not heard of an update anytime soon that will address this. But if it helps, even my S20 Plus returns search queries quite slow. It's noticeably faster than the A71 for this specific task, but not as refined as say an iPhone settings search. Even the older iPhone 6/7 which have an inferior processor to the A71 don't have this issue, so it's most definitely a software issue.

Would you recommend still going for the A71 or is it better to wait for the A52/A72 ?

There isn’t much evidence that the A72 will have a much better processor than the snapdragon 730 in the A71. I would get the A71 as it likely can be found at a discount right now.

Last year's flagships like the OnePlus 7t/7 Pro or the S10 series are all still better deals. But it's not a bad phone.

Agreed. If they can be found for a similar or cheaper price I'd go with those choices over the A71. Here in Canada it's hard to find one of those at a decent refurbished quality and usually they run a few hundred dollars more.

Wow interesting. Yeah in Canada the S10 is at least $750 and same with the oneplus 7. The only other device comparable in price would be the S10e which is sold for roughly $500 as well, but the specs are similar at that point. Jealous of you guys in the US! You definitely have better pricing and a bigger refurb market.

@DOPENOLA 1 so are the OnePlus 7t and 7 Pro and they are much better phones. Who cares about 5G? You'll never actually have it, it eats up battery, and it's barely faster that LTE. Plus the A71 you are referencing is the 4G only version, this 5G version is brand new and is $600

You can use a skin if you’d like. But I have found the back to be quite scratch resistant so I have been using it without a case !

I would pick the A71 between those two!

Got mine today and amazing also has Samsung pay which from other reviews was told it wasn't. Maybe its because its the uk version? Didn't get a case though.

Yes mine also works with samsung pay. It does have NFC so payment shouldn't be a problem. Enjoy your new phone! It's a beast.

The S20+ overheating issue has been improved dramatically with the software updates. So likely your decision will be based on price. If you can afford the s20+, then go for it. The A71 will not last for 4 years.

The new Galaxy M51 has slightly better specs than this have you try it?Best of all it is slightly cheaper too!It comes with 730G chipset

what would you suggest to me . to buy A71 or S10e ( exynos version ) . i know the S10e is better but im apprehensive about battery because many of S10e users are very dissatisfied with battery performance .. and will i lose many features when purchasing A71 .. Great review ❤️!

Great question! I actually wanted to do a comparison between the A71 and S10E because I personally was debating between the two as well. The exynos 9820 in the S10E will likely be a noticeable speed boost over the snapdragon 730 in the A71, so with the S10E you will probably never experience lag, as it scored over 320k in antutu. The S10E also has the power button fingerprint reader which was the main reason why I would consider that phone over the A71. The form factor of the S10E is also smaller, so depending what size of phone you want. However the A71 will be substantially better in terms of battery life, since the processor will be much more efficient than the exynos and the battery is a whole 1400 Mah bigger. So, overall, I would say go for the A71, it is overall better and more future proof, assuming both devices are the same price. Now if you're considering the snapdragon 855 S10E that's a different story. Thanks for watching!

I have not noticed a difference between single or double Sim cards. Battery life overall is great!

Not if they are both the same price. But FE will be more expensive and is a different level of phone.

You should scan the same figure 3 times and the figure print will be faster

Good idea! I ended up doing that before and it indeed does work faster. I assume the optical sensor can only capture a part of the finger print at one time, so having three separate scans is more effective.

i just got this phone last sunday. Idk if everyone has the same problem, but when I try to upload a story or IG (selfie mode), my face is just so fkn zoomed in and idk what else I can do. anyone knows how to fix this? ive searched in blogs and i think there's no answer still, but anyone has this problem too?

This is because of the app. Some apps use by default a zoomed in mode for video and photo. This is not a limitation of the phone. Wechat has the same issue when taking photos on the app. The only work around is if you use the camera app to record the video or photo, then upload it on the app.

The a42 will be a bit faster and is a bit newer. So I would probably say for the same money that one will be the better choice.

Do u think its still worth it for me to buy it now? I saw there's rumours for the a72 to come out soon should I wait?

I think it's definitely worth it since the price has dropped quite a bit. The newer model may not come out for a while. And if it does, it will stay at retail price for a while.

For cameras, both of these will be similar. A71 will lag a little bit in image processing.
