Reviewers always forget to mention the music aspect of phones. The A70 is a beast with good headphones. Awesome sound. Overall the phone ticks all the boxes. Had it for about a month and I strongly recommend it. Samsung blows away the midrange track with this one.

I have an opposite opinion about one UI vs Mi Ui I feel like Mi UI is too much... It just isn't neat enough. I feel it's just too heavy and takes too much away from the typical Android experience. They try so much to copy iOS One Ui on the other hand checks all the boxes for me IMO after stock Android and Oxygen os on the OnePlus, one UI is the next in line You spoke my mind about the fingerprint scanner, I mean if it ain't broke, don't fix it. In-display fingerprint scanners aren't as convenient as the rear capacitive ones Great video as always 👊🏽 Love your work

But really man, what really is the good thing about the One UI? I mean, it still has some unnecessary bloatwares, so what's the hype about. I'd pick MI UI a million times over One UI, MI UI has tons of amazing and fun customisation than One UI. Yeah MI UI tends to copy iOS, but, I really don't have any issues with it

I don't need over customizability, at the end of the day I just need an os that'll work perfectly for me with no hassle and One UI does it for me (I don't hate xiaomi phones. k20 pro is one of my favorite phones) Like I said, "IMO" and I respect yours 👊🏼

Agreed! I've been using mid-range of xiaomi phone. And yes, miui is like shit when you have midrange chips. They giving update fixing the bug, yes they fixed. But the previous bug comes out, they fixed that bug, bring another bug. It's like a loop. Been long time I don't use xiaomi. If I back, I'll try with high end chips, 3phones of my xiaomi use custom rom 😂 now I'm having htc u11, I don't have any idea to move again. Unless it's break 🙄😂

Would not hate on anybody who purchases this phone, the value for money and the specs are awesome. I just decided to opt for the flagship S10+ but we will all be drooling over the new S11 with that 108mp camera and new insanely powered chip.

Watching on my A70, im inlove with it😍 sexy and sleek in my hand and everything about it is so beautiful. Runs smoothly,never lags,they updated the on screen fingerprint, display is beautiful everything is just beautiful. Great Review By the way.

It's a midrange A40 and lower is budget replacing the Jseries, A50 -A80 (maybe a90) are all midrange

Great review. I needed a double SIM phone and swapped from a personal Pixel 2 XL and my work iPhone X. The only downside of this phone over either of them is the in screen fingerprint scanner has trouble as I often work with my hands. The double SIM version is two SIMs and a micro SD and everything about this phone is batting well above it's price range.

Well, I was going to opt for A Sony Xperia 5 until I read about the A70! Great review with a lot of common sense! You're spot on about the screens shattering on costly smart phones!! Always reading about this on facebook! All my previous cheap phones have been mishandled and dropped-on most surfaces-but not one has sustained any damage, even if dropped screen down-whilst friends latest iPhones are wrecked lol!The A70 would be a great phone for me! I had one reservation and that was lack of water resistance. However, the other advantages outweigh that-and I'm not going near any water 99% of the time!! (and not going to wash up with the phone in one hand!). Besides, a good case will help! Could actually become Samsung's best seller. I liked your review because it was so enthusiastic and not influencing people to spend more money than necessary! A refreshing change to see this approach, so thank you for your excellent review :)

I personally love that KZread is in White. Isn't that down to personal preference as opposed to a fault with the phone. Does KZread show up as dark in Xioami? It would have been very helpful if you had clearly done a closeup comparison of what you mean. Always start with the positives in a review as opposed to diving deep into the negatives! It stops it from coming across as moaning but still loved your review, as usual!

I own the A70 and the s10 and for some reason the s10 gets mega hot after a couple of hours of use whilst the A70 just ploughs on for hours hardly even getting warm!

Hello Frank. That's because of the difference in CPU architecture. the midrange CPU of the A70 emits much less heat, because of the fewer cores at lower frequencies crammed together, compared to the more porwerful S10 CPU

The issue with KZread remaining white when you have the Night mode on is not a Samsung related issue... It's because it'a a Google app and service. The same thing happens when opening the Play Store. However, this doesn't happen with the Apple Shore when Dark Mode is on... because it's an Apple app and service ...

S10+ can more things than a70 definitely otherwise they are in the same level but they are different.

Just got this after a full month of thinking whether I should get this over the S10+. Fantastic phone, feels great. I'm coming from an S8 and the A70 does not feel like a midrange phone. Hope it holds up well.

Believe me S10 kills it in terms of Camera , better performance , better battery life, better display quality , better video recording quality , Better IP rating and more. S10+ is almost perfect while A70 is corner cut yet a good mid range phone. Ya maybe there is a huge price difference but if you want 'almost perfect' phone it is non other that S10 from Samsung and there are lots of audience where they wants the best out of a brand

You've got me. I'm about to renew a contract with 3 in the UK and they are offering my unlimited everything sim with the s10 and a70. The A70 IS £33 monthly and the s10 is £38 a month.. think I'm getting the a70. It might be cheaper and not build as great. But it does everything the s10 does with the same processor. And I only need 6gb ram not 8 or more. And you can't tell the difference between 2k and 1080p. This battery is seriously next gen lasting 2 days on heavy usage and 3 on light usage

Great video bro 👍 I loved how you were realistic in your review- saying things that really matter. A70 is a great phone. I'm just curious about the fate of the fingerprint scanner if the screen shatters and gets replaced.

Another thought about camera phones is that none can match a good compact camera for quality. If you buy a mid range phone like this-with a decent camera that is great for casual and fun use-the money you save buying a "flagship" phone can easily buy a good Micro Four thirds compact camera as well, for about the same price, which are superb (e.g Panasonic GX80 with interchangeable lenses!). The cost would be at least £200 less than buying a top phone! As for no weather sealing on the A50, there are lots of waterproof cases available. You are quite right about the Samsung A50 being a better option than the A70. 6.7 inches is a little too much-and also too big for a lot of available phone cases!

Arrgh... Someone who actually thinks the way I do. I so love you man Henreneeo. I mean, Samsung products are just overhyped. I mean, I used the S10+'s front camera in low light and I was SOOOO disappointed. Yeah, it takes amazing, I mean, super amazing pictures in good lighting, but the processing of the images sometimes (especially when you use the image optimization) looks unreal, a few tech guys could easily notice that it is more beautified even with beauty mode turned on, so... I'd rather spend less on A70, than S10, or better still, go for the Redmi K20 pro and just put all to rest. And, man, I love your review on the One UI, I mean, I really don't know what other reviewers see in the One UI, especially people like Lewis (Unbox Therapy) and MKBHD, I just think they over hype Samsung products and Apple products unnecessarily. Yes, their performance is unparalleled, it's topnotch, the speed, screen refresh rate and all, but truth is, the human eye can't catch those stuffs, all you just see in the Amoled display and that's all. These expensive products are quite overhyped, really. Imagine a in 2018, Pocophone of about 120k, flawlessly beating Samsung's 200k plus Note 9's camera in MKBHD's blind camera test last year, that's a shame and a total waste of cash.

Sound is important when reviewing phones. Most phones hurt my ears during calls, and they often have poor multimedia sound through the speakers. I don't care about CPU etc. I only care about screen size (big!), sound, camera, and battery.

This guy seems to be placing facts right on your face ,rather than put a silver line on them. Thanks for that. By the way. While shooting for the display try playing around with the fps and shutter speed it will give you better quality video
