Well It was old but gives such performance that a mid range phone can't give it has old design but has a powerful processing speed as a 2023 budget phone

Galaxy A54 is faster but the Galaxy S7 edge holds well. Next Galaxy S6 edge vs S7 edge.

My exynos S7 Edge still works like a chanp everyday! It runs One UI 2.5 with Android 10 thanks to the Floyd ROM. Excellent performance and battery life and an amzing camera

A55 is an upgrade from the S7 Edge. Go for it, or get the S23FE if you want a flagship processor
