Thanks, your vid helped... My dark mode wasn't as good as yours, but did light the subject. I had a note 4, fantastic camera. Took clear pics of the moon and clouds at midnight!! Would like to have another Note 4, mine gave up the ghost after five short years. All it would do is bring up the red sign on screen :-( NOW! I have the A51, and learning to use it. The N4 was less complicated to operate. Had over 7k photos on it when it died, mostly animals, skies, and terrain scenes from SE to SW. Time will tell !!!

You can change the brightness in night mode. Just scroll up or down.

@忍 some phones can record in 8k 60fps constantly until the battery or storage runs out and you can also set a recording limit on them. Iphones are still worse than android phones...

I'm going crazy. Since the a51 got the new One UI update, now you don't have the option to change the rear video size in the settings. So now you don't have the option to do 1080 60fps at all anymore, it's just 4k 30 or 1080 30 now. I was really liking 1080 60 the best so I've been quite upset about this.

the a51 original, non 5g version have never had 1080p 60fps... i have owned the phone since it was released and i have only been able to do 30 fps at max... you must have had the 5g version.....

@@flootynator No I definitely didn’t have the 5g version because I got the Straight Talk version which that’s the only one that they sell, the plain ole 4gig ram 4g model. I did have the regular a50 for a good few months before the a51 and maybe that one had 1080p60 and could’ve confused me after going to the a51. Anyway I just got an iphone 11 which does beautiful 4k60/1080p60 so I’m alright now. Although I got a harddd screen quality downgrade forsure, going from an Amoled 1080p screen to an IPS screen that’s not even 1080p. I didn’t even know that when I bought it😪 I knew the X and XS models before had Oled screens that were over 1080p so I just assumed it’d be the same or better, but noooope. Luckily it’s the liquid retina IPS screen so it doesn’t look bad at all, just not near as good as the a51 screen.

@@deadboy3646 you are degrading everything including the camera by changing to a fucking iPhone idiot. The iPhone has max 4k video samsung now has 8k. You can take pictures at maximum of 12MP while your phone the a51 can take both 48MP and 12MP. Video fps doesn't make a big difference. Also android is better than iPhone at everything other than the fact that stupid people buy it cuz they get viruses on their android cuz they search for download more ram free. I don't understand why people keep degrading, not upgrading to an iPhone. Don't come and try to say your iPhone 11 is better as it definitely isn't. Battery. Wow think your battery now lasts about 16 hours. An iPhone 11 has max an hour of battery time. And it breaks quite easily as well, not to say the design is so fucing bad. Hope you want to sell your iPhone when you buy it. I don't care about your opinion as it's wrong so don't reply to this. If you do I'll report you for believing in scams. Also it's not called iPhone, it's called stone.

Is that the reason I get black bars on the sides of the A51 video? I tried changing the settings but nothing seems to work. The FHD [1:1] is the widest video (has smaller bars on the left and right sides). Is there a way that I can take a video with a51 without getting those bars? 😭

@@sameersamadi789 Oh dude idk. I got tired of that a51 and switched to to an iPhone 11 pro around December last year. The cameras and video are such an upgrade it’s not even a competition. The only area where I kinda downgraded is the screen on the a51 was more high quality and colors popped more. But taking pics and videos is on another level with iphone right now, not only can you record 4k60 instead of 4k30 on the a51, but it has “super stabilization” so videos come out super smooth, I remember on my a51 the 4k30 looked great but it was always a bit shakey and the videos would bounce up and down and shake as you walk. You can find the iphone 11 used for around 200 bucks right now, for taking pics and recording I recommend it without a doubt. But if you’d truly just rather the galaxy over an iphone, upgrade to an a53. They did really good on upgrading everything from the a51 and a52 especially the cams. If you ask me though over that, just get a used galaxy s20 ultra. That would be the best camera you’ve ever used.

When I record video on my A51, it doesnt stay steady. I set it up on a tripod, I stand 2-3 meters in front of it and make a instructional video but the video will kind of automatically adjust zoom in and out every 20 or so seconds. Perhaps with some body movement but I cant stop it. Any ideas? I want to use the normal camera on UHD and it doesnt make enough of a difference if I turn the the video stabilisation feature on or off. If I use the reverse camera, so I can film and watch myself, it stays steady so I guess its something around holding a steady zoom for front camera

On the A51, can I capture raw files simultaneously with jpg photos? My Galaxy S7 had a setting for that.

They make pictures in pitch black and every camera needs light to function correctly

I don't only my phone or what. When I on the flash for camera, then I touch the screen to focus and the flash isn't flashing like another samsung phones.

same issue. trying to find a fix for why images are so dark after taking it. then when you try to share in an app like instagram, it's even darker.

4k resolution maybe was a feature on the first A51, but I have the 5G version, and there is definitely no place to change resolution in my options.

I just got the gaxely a51 and I've it im enjoying it next year ill get the gaxely a71 for x mas for my self

I've been trying to find a video to help with adjusting the damn camera but I can't find any that are helpful. I got this phone thinking the camera is really good but its not at all. The micro/close up one is good but everything else is bad. All of my pictures look grainy or like they are blurred with gausian (I think thats what it's called idk it sounds similar to that). My older cheaper phone takes clearer pics than this (the J7). I really don't recommend this phone if you're looking for a good camera. And if you know how to fix the focus/quality to where its not fuzzy/grainy lmk cause I can't return this phone so I'm stuck with it 😭

You are correct bro. I spend my $315 on this phone and I'm not getting quality photos. I decided to download Inware app from Google play store and it is telling me that my phone has 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. I'm so much disappointed in Samsung. My previous Samsung galaxy S5 camera is better than this A51 camera.

@@Qwty163 I've taken some really good pics but its rare to get really good ones. I've done different settings and even many recommended ones and its still iffy. My target and myself have to absolutely still and have really good lighting. On videos oh no no. They are super grainy and unfocused at night with the light/flash regardless of settings.

since this camera setup has a depth sensor can i use it to 3d scan objects? I know the flagship Samsung phone has this ability.

I use this phone to make my KZread videos but , I can't say I am impressed

Choose the vdeo u want to edit, select the edit button...below the screen you'll find some options, swipe left and the last one will be audio! You'll get two options one of which will be, vdeo sound..all you need to do is decrease the volume to 0 andd you're done...😊

How to change the rear camera?

One of the cameras is multi purpose wide angle, one is macro, ones a multi purpose 48 megapixel camera and I just can't figure out what the 4th one is for. Anybody know?

Yeah, but how can I get phone to simply take a clear photo when I zoom in with both fingers without waiting 5 minutes while being completely still?!? It won't even take a picture through a window. I miss my Motorola Droid Z 21mp camera

Yes the camera app got an update and you can now set the shutter speed to a max of 10 settings, do this in pro mode

You click on "camera", then select "photo", then click on the little "editing wand: in upper right hand corner, select "face" then a little face appears at the bottom of the screen (if it says off, click it on) then the the first option (a drop looking thing) is smoothness. Anyway, if you turn the little face off, the beauty mode will be gone.

Oh yeah, I knew it had 4K, one reason why I bought it. Night vision, I didn't know about that, Yess!

The A51 has 2K recording. UHD is 2K quality. If 4K is available on any phone, it will be displayed as 4K only. That was an error in the video.

My menu shows swipe shutter button to take burst shot. The video indicates a hold shutter button instead. I have no idea how to swipe shutter button.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A51 but in Settings below Videos my choices are "High efficiency videos" and "Video stabilization". I don't have "Rear video size" with the choices 16:9, Resolution, Full, and 1:1 to choose from.

I have had mine for almost two months coming from a cheapy phone and Am so upset with BELOW low quality of speakers. Can not hear out of speaker phone when on a call, listening to music it is barely loud enough and I ALWAYS have to hook up to another amplifying device. Listening on the phone without speaker phone is a challenge as well, that I have never had on another device. I would not have spent good money on this phone IF I HAD KNOWN about this ahead of time.Not a bad phone and worth it IF you have blue tooth headphones for calls Also, Can not preschedule a text message from standard messaging feature like with my old Samsung. I am dealing with these ISSUES because the camera is AMAZING!! samsung: please fix the speaker issue. Please

Portrait mode in the camera also will get u a blur in the background so that's a good photo option use in the more categorie
