It is beyond me why so many phone manufacturers choose to ignore the importance of sound quality in phones, specifically using stereo speakers. For older users, sound can be especially important to choose a phone. I personally will choose a stereo phone over 108 or even 64-megapixel cameras for anything costing over 200 dollars. There has been way too much emphasis put on cameras. Instead of cell phones that take pictures, smartphones have become miniature digital cameras that happen to make phone calls

Yes, in louder environment you need good and loud speakers, preferably stereo.

The processor P65 is actually pretty good. It has modern Arm Cortex-A55 and Arm Cortex-A75 processing cores, which is way better than Exynos 9611 (A51). Not only the battery is bigger, but also the processor is more efficient. So, it is actually a very good question: why would you spend more for A51? Beacuse of better graphic card performance? Not worth it.

Thank you for the review I really don't mind the slightly slow cpu As long as it can handle low cpu usage games or apps then I am okay with the phone and the camera is fine for me ... I just needed something for studying and a little of gaming.... may I know if anyone who bought the phone experiencing heating issues or anything since I already ordered the phone so I am waiting for a new and hopefully good phone

Please stop saying that metal and glass backing for phones is somehow better. There is really NO case where glass is better. Plastic is the most durable, doesn't shatter, doesn't dent and is cheap. All of this aesthetically pleasing material is sitting under a case for most people anyway.

No, I come from a huawei Y9 2019 with a kirin 710 and even that supported Qualcomm Aptx but this cellphone wich is newer don't support it, anyway the cameras and display is x10 times better

Nope, no gorilla glass. The A51 has it but also has a worse battery. It depends on your needs

I just want a galaxy phone from a31 up I saw a s51 on Amazon for 249$ new but I think that price is sketchy

Just got this phone. Been liking it so far. My only annoying features would be the time takennto register my finger prints. Had to try 3 to 4 times before it finally registered my fingerprints. I'm liking the phone a lot so far.

I think redmi note 9 pro is real deal, snapdragon 720 consumes less energy with higher performance than mediatek or exynos chipsets, on the other hand a31 looks better and has beautiful display coz of amoled screen

Same problem with me... the 4gb ram is fine.. you don't need 6gb... it won't make any difference Unlocked phones is usable with all GSM Carriers so boost mobile will work as long as the sim is gsm

Luis Miguel López honestly, it’s been amazing. After a week, I had understood most of the layout and gotten used to the settings. During the week I’m at school most of the time so from Monday to Friday with minimal use (2-3 hrs a day) I charge it only 1 or 2 times and on holidays or during weekends it lasts me 2-3 days. If you have used Samsung before, you’d find it simple as it’s just another galaxy phone. Performance wise, it’s actually not bad. If you’ve used phones such as iPhone 11 or the s20 you may notice a slight performance difference but that’s only if you notice all the small bugs, errors, etc. if your looking for a phone which can get the job done and has awesome battery with and average performance, the A31 is perfect for you. Hope this helped and if there’s more you want to know more, please reply I’d be happy to help.

@@theinfamousss thank you very much, really appreciate it. I don't usually play any games on my phones, my main uses are web browsing, mail, Google docs and your typical social media. I'm after long battery life and, I admit it, a nice screen 😁. Of course I want it to perform well with all those tasks. I've been going crazy comparing Moto g8 power, Galaxy A21s and this one, and all of them have one issue or another. Anyways, knowing how it performs from "a real user" in a real life usage pattern is, I think, all I needed. Oh, you won't be using any kind of wearable, Mi Fit or something like that by any chance? Thanks again for your time. 👍

Luis Miguel López I play some games occasionally and still enjoy good battery. The screen is honestly incredible. I don’t think I can go back to smaller screens anymore after the A31. It’s awesome. A phone without issues is something we can only wish for, it’s the truth. No I don’t use any wearables, etc. it’s a good phone especially if you only use it for causal browsing and media.

@@theinfamousss my finger hovering over the "add to cart" button on Amazon...😂 I only asked the wearables thing cause it looks like the A21s has some bluetooth connectivity issues with them. Haven't read anything about that with the A31 tho, so... You've been really kind, thanks one more time. 👍👍👍😊

But mtk p65 is more optimized than exynos 9611, so despite benchmarks p65 has better performance than 9611

They did an update that patched the fingerprint sensor to make it really quick now

You only get this if you're a Samsung fan on a budget. Otherwise you can definitely get better deals elsewhere. Case in point, the Redmi Note 9S.

I've read lots of bad reviews (both from stores here in Australia and also on Amazon), saying they've had major issues with bugs (especially the camera not working and having to restart the phone, to get it going again, the lock screen not unlocking, and the phone just inexplicably shutting down, for hours at a time). Has anyone who has one who reads this had any of these issues?

My new A31 is quite laggy. Barely installed anything but it takes almost a full second for the phone to react to things such as pressing back and searching for apps takes over 10 seconds sometimes.
