ive had my a12 since 2021 and its so slow. i can barely do anything on it. im really looking to upgrade to something much nicer, like an s23

I own a Galaxy A12 have owned it for the past 2 and a half years and I'm still pleased with it. Now granted it's not the best phone and it's not the fastest. But it's good. I agree with Simple Alpaca when he said he doesn't recommend buying this phone anymore in 2023. There better current options. If I'm not mistaken the A14 is out now and it has a 1080p display. A bigger camera, but I think the battery size is the same. Which isn't a bad thing. Now I'm going to talk about my phone. This Galaxy A12 has been super reliable to me for the most part. Battery is still holding up pretty well. Have not cracked the screen or the screen protector yet. That's another thing. Of you own this phone and a tempered glass screen protector and a case especially of your like me and you work at a shop. You'll have to take it off occasionally to clean off dirt and in the nooks and crannies. Speed wise, it's fast when it wants to be fast and it's slow when you need it to be fast. For example of you need to take a picture of something immediately but it's being slow or if your trying to show someone something important. It's a bit embarrassing at times not gonna lie. The screen isn't as colorful as my Galaxy Amp Prime 3 and it's not as sharp either. And that is becuase the screen is a large screen with a 720p display which again is stupid. Unlike simple alpaca I do think this phone takes good photos. They're not to write home about but they do come our really well. Plus I love the wide angle camera a whole lot. It's great if your tryna get a good pov picture of the car your inside. And you can take a picture without standing super far away and it'll still look proportioned. So yes at the time It was a great phone and quite honestly the performance hasn't gotten much worse since I've first bought it. It's been pretty much the same. But yeah I'm with Alpaca, don't buy it now when you can buy the Galaxy A14. If you still have it, keep it till it runs out of software support or starts randomly malfunctioning.

@SoosRamirez1 Update. In recent times, this phone has gotten extremely slow for me. I upgraded I wanna say like 4 or 5 months ago because of how bad and slow this phone has gotten. Nearly everything I said still stands, the battery was still OK before I stopped using it, but it just go so frigging slow to where it was becoming difficult for me to perform simple task on my phone. I upgraded to a Galaxy A54 5G. It's a humongous upgrade for any A12 owners, and if you can afford it, I'd say jump on it cause it's worth the money. Oh and also you can scan QR codes without an extra app HALLELUJAH!

What the heck has happened to the back of that phone?!! If that's the way it has been treated I'm not surprised you've slated it!! Still using mine in 2024, not worried about the bloody cameras, it's a phone, if I want to take decent pictures I'll use my Canon compact which is an actual camera. Currently sitting at Android 13, One UI core 5.1 and just had two security updates this month (April '24). Also you omitted to point out that the A12 was relaunched with an Exynos 850 chip and designated as model no. SM-A127F. Much better performer than the original Mediatek chip release. I'd say it's still a pretty valid phone for someone wanting a good budget device.

I bought Galaxy A12 for IDR 2 million (around USD 135) in February 2023... got the 6gb ram version & 128gb memory with a 5000mah battery which makes this phone more than enough for everyday usage. Btw I got the Exynos model and got it updated to Android 13 with One UI 5.1 👍🏾!

The nickname for the A12 is the Samsung snail because the phone is so slow. my phone is the 32 GB internal memory version with 3 gigs of RAM and it's very laggy not to mention 13 gigs are took up by the operating system 10 gigs are took up by the apps that are already on the phone so that leaves you with like 8 gigs of internal memory which is nothing I recently just upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy s23 Fe and it is a beast of a phone and one hell of an upgrade! I also got my mom one too, both were free only had to pay the tax and I got upgraded to Fiber Optic internet 1,000 my old internet was 10 so my new internet is 100 times faster and cost less than my old internet I switched over from T-Mobile to AT&T to get these phones for free one for me and one for my mom.

The price of this phone is okay ((i wont say this phone is good but)) i purchased for $80 , 2 years ago , and this is my first ever phone so you know this was a exciting experience for me because i was able to do anything now that i have a phone. However, there was some downside towards this phone and that's applications are always crashing and/or lagging which is really annoying. I know that i wasnt expecting the best experience ever but bugs/glitches tend to happen more often and often and often it gets so ANNOYING!!! The camera quality on this phone is the worst and slow too. And everytime when im recording a video, the video comes out very laggy which is very unpleasant. And if you really love to take selfies and videos all day. Long, then this phone is definitely NOT for you as I said, the camera quality is trash. The battery on this phone didnt last how it said it was gonna last. I thought this phone would be a long lasting battery but it seems like i was WRONG! My battery was draining fast for some reason 😒. Another thing that i would like to put out is that if you are going to buy this phone, DONT! Please do not buy this phone in 2023 as this phone causes a lot of bugs and glitches throughout the day, and trust believe that you will be PISSED.

Had this guy for 2+yrs 96%full but still works😅

I know, but it would be good for a pretty simple phone for someone, like my grandma. Hopefully the reason is not because it's obsolete. I wouldn't buy this, but someone who wants a simple phone may. There are A14s there however, so I kind of get what he is saying and definitely get what you're saying.

I second that. Have been using this sluggish phone since 2021. Doesn't even have a magnetic compass can you believe it? Google maps can't even tell the direction I'm facing when I'm standing still.

I've had mine for about 2 years and its been alright for the most part, however it is slow and lately its been acting up alot. It exits apps for no reason. And the camera isnt very good. Wouldn't recommend unless you are strapped for cash

i still have this phone and its on android 13 with one ui 5.1. and the phone still with very smoothly idk what you guys did to your a12's but been using it for 3 years and the battery, camera, performance is still very good but i didnt get this phone when it came out but my a12 supports 5g and its the version with128gb of storage and 4g of ram and i use think phone for everything and it still works the same as i 1st brough it. like compared to any of the new S series i would personally go with them but to any other phone i would still get the a12.

I must say you need to research before reviewing a product, I know, you´re an Influencer and get paid to do what you do, but please don´t give incorrect informantion to users, A12 is not the oldest model, A10 is, and a friend has one, It´s clearly outdated (IE; Micro USB port) but still work flawlessly and get all the updates, including Android 13, 4 gig RAM, 64GB storage Both Samsung A12 and A10 have 3,5mm audio connector, so you can connect any headphone without any other device, how many phones have a direct headphone connector ?? Back to A12 appart from Hedphone output, It has 4GB Memory and 64GIG storage and supports micoSD memory up to 1 Tera Byte, You can get one for less than 100 US bucks, It´s the best bargain off the decade. And still is a Samsung, not an unknown brand. Please don´t delete my messages, just research, your channel will grow, people can tell when a KZreadr is being honest and didn´t research enough (your case). I mean you don´t do this with bad intentions, you´re honest, just need to research more to make better reviews, take this advice or ignore It, It´s your choice. this phone is hell for me now. at 4 years old, it is laggy, crashy, unresponsive. the screen and power button stopped working so instead of trying to buy part(s) in hopes of solving whatever problem it fell down with, im just going to buy a newer refurbished phone.

I use mine mainly for banking, shopping and some emulators. Oh, and it's still great for media consumption.

It is not worth to buy i had this phone for 2 years do not buy this phone unless u call only

I owned it since early this year and it's kinda slow, the camera is just bad in my opinion despite having 4 of them at the back, and storage is mediocre (I don't have many apps at all) The main thing that I'll miss is the amazing battery life. You could use it for an entire day and it would still be at 10% Overall it's not terrible but I wouldn't recommend if you want good performance and camera

Have my A12 for almost 3 years now. Definitely a slow phone. Sometimes apps crash cause it's damn slow. Camera is not great either. Nonetheless its usable and the battery lasts a full day +.

Hi, What you said at about 5:12 is NOT true, he says he don´t recommend the phone for lack of updates, that you´ll be stuck with Android 12, that´s incorrect, mine recently updated to Android 13 and get Security and other Android updates every couple off months. I have a Samsung Galaxy Lite Tablet I bought in 2020 , came with android 10 and still get updates as well. My tablet also got Android 13 update and security updates almost every month, I must say didn´t like Samsung in the past, nowadays It seems to be a the best choice in terms of support. I don´t work for Samsung , It´s just my opinion, Samsung A12 is a budget phone, with average camera and processor speed, but has a huge battery (5000 mA) being a phone that doesn´t need a lot of power, a charge may last almost 48hs of light use, one week in stand by (tested It before seting the phone with my SIMM CARD), and if you´re a heavy all day long user, with lots of screen hours, a charge may last 6 or 7 hours, I mean you have to use the screen all the time, no rest and still It will last almost from 9 to 5. Very happy with A12, don´t mind It´s discontinued, I would buy another sec. hand If I needed. It seems A10 and A12 are workhorses. My A12 is no exception, stood the test of time, 4 years of intense use indoors and outdoors as well, It got wet in a big storm with rain, no damage at all, don´t put it on a swimming pool on into the bath al you´ll be ok.

I forgot to mention. Gaming is perfectly fine for me but only becuase I don't play these crazy modern mobile games. Right now I've been playing emulated games on MyBoy Gba Free and those games runs very well. I've been playing Pokémon Sapphire and it runs so smooth. Otherwise I also play Galaga and 3D Pinball. Yes there is a 3D Pinball app that's just like the Windows XP 3D Pinball. The only other mobile games I'd probably get us Pokémon Shuffle and Fire Emblem Heros. But idk I kinda grew out of those. I like the real counterparts emulated on my phone. Cause it's the only device I'll use for emulating.
