thank you for this review.. i have this monitor now for almost a year, had the panel replaced 3 times cause of the flickering, but it never went away. this is a samsung problem they prolly wont fix in this model. Except for the flickering, i love this monitor, it has the best productivity value on my side.. i just love the real estate of screen size. i still have your diagonal line problem but that only occurs in dark mode with dark windows at certain positions, i switched back to light mode and its gone.

Pete Pete Pete That was another smokin’ good video. Content great, videography great, video editing great, presentation great, yeah yeah ok I liked it. I have to tell you I was a little irritated however. I so enjoy watching your videos, as I was searching around KZread a bit today trying to figure out what I wanted to consume for technology stuff and I noticed you had a new video out and I forgot to turn my notifications on. Yes that did irritate me because I like to see your videos as soon as they are out. I also get a little bit of perverse enjoyment (because I agree so much) every time I see one of your followers, subscribers whatever, comment on how good you are as a KZreadr or and how they are shocked at how relatively subscribers you have compared to some of the other very large subscriptions out there that are undeniably not close to the quality that you deliver - I have felt that exact same way for a long time. You do such a great job communicating to your audience and I thoroughly enjoy watching you present your content. Build it and they will come, I did. I also want to thank you for your work discussing the Samsung G9 monitor specifically. I struggled for a couple months trying to figure out if this was the right monitor for me and my productivity needs. There’s so much garbage out there about how this is a bad monitor for productivity it delayed me significantly from making my inevitable decision to buy one of these, and I have not been sorry one second that I bought one. I also 1000% agree with your comment about the 1000 R curvature. There is just nothing like it out there for productivity. I am so glad I did not buy a 49 inch monitor with any less curvature. The 1000R makes it so easy to work on this beast all about trying to be efficient and quick finishing what I’m trying to get done. Sidenote, I think it would be very enjoyable to see some content related to how to be most productive using this monitor. It could be very specifically monitor related or just other productivity tools that are great used in conjunction with the monitor and productivity in general. Personally, I just settled on fancy zones (from MS power tools) to create uniquely sized screeen areas to move my windows into while I’m working, and that has been a huge boost for me. I could never figure out the real difference between fancy zones and display fusion, although I have seen a lot of great things about display fusion I never saw anything that would convince me it is a better tool than fancy zones so I didn’t go that direction. I also went down the road of finding a good macro execution tool and settled on the Elgato stream deck. What a joy that has been. I’m currently building a library of macros which consist of buttons that will temporary hide all my desktop icons, launch my favorite Microsoft software products, and one of my current favorite projects, wallpaper engine. Nothing like having crazy great wallpaper on a monster high-end screen like this. Also did some work with AHK, auto hotkey, another great program that has sure earned its place in the discussions about improving productivity. It is refreshing to see conversation surrounding the G9 related to productivity. The G9 does such a great job in this space and I am thrilled to death to be using it right now. Yep it is a fantastic gaming monitor, but that’s just not my deal. I’m a business/power user and I need to have my time focused there and this monitor does the trick and more. Thanks again for the time and effort you spent discussing the productivity side of this monitor as that played a role in my decision, which was a big deal for me, do in no small degree because it was a heavy financial investment. It would also be interesting to see some content about methods to get the resolution the way that it needs to be to be using the monitor properly, how to make sure your PC doesn’t choke down or outright prevent you from getting all of the display quality you need to from this great monitor (I.e. graphics cards and memory [I just had to upgrade to 32gb on the PC I just had built]). I also recently added an external volume control knob, which I love and I’m always looking forward to attaching other productivity helpful gadgets to my system. Perhaps you can get after some of that stuff one of these days as well. All the best and keep cranking out all that great content. Excellent work. Yours is one of the very few subscriptions I would actually pay for if I had to. Looking forward to my next notification!! BAM !!!!

I've just bought this monitor instead of Alienware's AW2721D because I wanted to try out having a ultrawide monitor for the first time and tbh, it's both an amazing and annoying experience. It's no doubt that not only it's best for gaming but also for productivity. My only issues with it so far is that some games does not support ultrawides and you have to annoyingly find a workaround to fix it yourself but overall, it's definitely the most beautiful monitor in the market even today. I'd recommend buying this when it's on a sale though.

If at all possible, I buy this kind of stuff off Costco website. Its because of their return policy. Any BS with he monitor, Take it to Costco, drop it off, and a new one will come in the mail.
