Worst dryer ever!!!! Replaced the heating element and the thermostat worked about 20 min. And started blowing cold air again!!! Replacement parts take forever to come in I believe they are on a slow boat from China!!!! This dryer is making me lose my religion!!!! LOL

Just opened up mine and it was exactly the same issue. The best part was that I paid only 28 bucks for the piece and it took me less than one hour to finish the whole thing. Thank you so much for the video!

Great video, if you want to disassemble the whole dryer or take more time to get more labor hours. Changing the heater coil is a lot simpler, by just removing the bracket that holds the heating coil. You’re messing the poor home owners by doing it this way.

Thanks for this video…. My new Element will be here mid week. Tested it and it was indicating bad …. I ordered a new Belt also.. Figured its 11 years old so change it while its apart. Tore it down today and sure enough tbe Element is broken.. Thanks!

Remember when you put the belt BACK on it goes around the lower motor pulley over to the white plastic pulley and then you PULL the lever that this pulley is on OVER to the motor side and slide the left side of the belt over the white pulley so it is on the right side of it. There has to be tension on the belt, if not then it is not installed right...Had to take mine apart 3 times to figure it out...Would be nice to see a diagram of how the belt actually is threaded...

Thank you for the video. It helped me greatly. The dryer is now fixed and I'm a hero to my wife. Or at least for the next 15 minutes.

Best video EVER! Lucky I have the exact same dryer and every instruction was SPOT ON! Didn't want to take the dryer this far apart, but after vacuuming the inside I was glad I did it. Now can you do one for a power steering pump on a 1999 Pathfinder?

Thank you for this very helpful video. The only thing I had trouble with was getting the drum belt back on. I used another video to help with the visualization of that. Having the close up video of the heating element was very helpful as well. I was able to do this repair all on my own while my hubby was away on work travel and it only cost me the part and my time. Really appreciate this and I will be sharing your site on social media. Thanks again!

I changed mine out yesterday for the first time, thanks. However, I went a few steps further by removing the drum, thus giving me direct access to vacuum out all of the lint that built up inside my dryer.

Wow this was perfect! Straight to the point no bullshit intro and actually teaching it as it's being done..I have 0 knowledge on this and this video just saved me tons of money! I too had a broken coil and replacement is now on the way. $27 from Amazon and only needed a phillip'd drill and a needle-nose! Thanks a lot man!

This was a spot on help for me this week. Had a bad coil and a bad pully so I ordered parts kit including the coil, tstats, sensors and belt and pully. The worst parts getting the leverage to get the belt back on. Oh that and waiting 23 days for Amazon to ship parts and having to remember how it all came apart! But Thanks to you had it all back together in short order today! Thanks so much!!

This was hands down the best video I’ve ever seen for a DIY dryer troubleshoot and fix. Took me a total of 45 mins fixing the dryer with the exact same problem shown here. Longest time was waiting on the element. Thank you for this video!!!

Great video; lots of work taking it apart and figuring out what was wrong but I enjoyed doing it and figuring it out. Could not have done it without your video. It’s working perfect again. Thank you!

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to make this video. The step by step made it very easy to follow and the tech used verbiage that was easy to understand. I found my parts locally and although I was pretty sure it was the heat element after running the Ohm test, I opened the element cover up to verify. The coil on my element was broken in almost the exact same place as the one in the video. I got a chuckle out of that. I did check the Ohm values on both fuses but to make sure I wasn't dealing with a compound failure, I took them in for testing when I went to get the element. The local shop had the element in stock. Fuses were good. I picked up new vent tube parts and still got out of there for under $100. Way better than having to pay a repair person or get a new dryer. That's for sure! Thanks again!

Great instructional video, really saved me. Didn't have to call in a technician, the local parts store wanted $80 for the heating element, bought it online for $18.21. The only thing I didn't understand was how to put the belt back on, but you guys had a different video showing how to do it. Thank you!

Great how-to video saved me between $200 & $400 to have a tech come out and replace it when I found the part online for hardly anything. Took about an hour! Thank you
