This video had better info than the instructions that came with the microphone. First, I did not understand that the speaker function was for monitoring input to the mic, I thought it was supposed to play track 1 while I was recording track 2. Secondly, I had not gotten some of the settings from the instructions that were included in this video. So trying to use the mic's speaker function wasn't doing anything at all.

You have to connect headphones to your mic in order to use Mic’s speaker function … If you look near the bottom of your mic you’ll see a small headphones logo. Can you try it?
