I'm 68 and born in South Carolina. '70s disco dance and rock music was my genre. I don't like most of the typical rap just because it seems to involve violence drugs guns prostitutes and abuse of women and focuses on material possessions. But I love every one of Samson's songs and could, and do, listen to them many times.

This guy is the real deal : Most rappers what to skew the way words are spoken to sound or be different, but if you think about it, it's a lot harder to rap fast and be extremely clear like this kid is. Beyond that, it's so stellar, so dope. IMHO, from the 2:05 mark to the 2:45 mark he really breaks out and does something incredible. He should be famous....this obscurity should end. As an older guy, young, seriously talented folks like this are what still inspire me.....still give me chills...still elevates me to that crescendo I felt in my youth listening to quality music. There are not many artists left that can perform at this level, young or old, long-existing or new-contemporary. Old folks are dead/dying, or not really trying anymore.....like Eric Clapton. Saw him two times when I was young and he absolutely blew my mind, and I was not the biggest fan of his, but his last concert in 2021 was really lame.....really, really sucked. He should have known better to allow such expensive tickets, $250, for such a lame show. He should not even have done a tour. That's just one example -- I could name many. Point is, it's getting hard to find quality music, recorded or live. This kid and others like him keep me listening and involved. Love this. Word to pimp ! .

I grew up in the 1980's listening to hardcore punk rock and rap. It's kind of strange how well they went together. I guess it's because both styles came up from the streets. We'd blast Run-DMC, Doug E Fresh, NWA and Public Enemy on my boom box in the same mix with Minor Threat, JFA, Ill Repute and Crucifix, while skateboarding ramps or schools. I was the only white punk that rocked a TROOP jacket at my school in L.A. No one cared. This is way back before racism was pushed to divide us. But back then: black, white, brown...nobody GAF. You were either a good person, or you weren't.
