I’d like to see a deep dive on sampler modulation, especially if you could combine it with examples using the step sequencer.
Your lecture is so straight to the point. And you speak so well, too.
Awesome video!!! Your tutorials pack so much content in such an efficient format... Thanks for the enlightening work.
Can't wait to try this out. I never really used EXS-24 before. This looks awesome. Thanks, Chris!
Many thanks - especially the bit at the end about how and where to save instruments (which loads of people have trouble with... including me!)
Great overview! Looking forward to several deep dives on this one.
I love this channel, thanks for the in depth videos. This channel is my go to resource
Great Chris, so much to take in but well worth it
I love every video. This is about the only one that leaves me with a lot of questions though. The Optimized section I find very confusing. Hope you do more on the sampler
Great summary tutorial. Thanks so much!
Really good stuff, I'd also dig a deeper dive into the Sampler and other modulation topics.
I would love a full tutorial sries on just the topic of sampling in Logic. Crossing my fingers you will get into it because you are a fabulous teacher. To me, a great youtube teacher is someone who can be very basic in the approach and understands how to be logical about a complexe thing. This is for a lot of us a very complexe but fabulous technology once we get the basics of it. I like to learn something from the very beginning of it. So this sampler for me, is not basic but I could learn to use it... It just takes a lot of time and very simple examples of what it can do. Thanks again you are one of my favs,,,
Thank you for your great work! You have helped me a lot! One thing about sampling that I really would like to know is how velocity crossfading works and how it affects the sounds. All the best /Björn
Clear explanation for those too lazy to RTFM. Thanks man!
great video dude. Really Helpful.
Great video guys!
Would be nice to have a video on Sampler modulation and different ways to use it ..
This was really great, thanks. Is it possible to add different articulations into the sampler?
I sampled my own kit and have made a kind of VST using the sampler, it was very time consuming and the result was pretty decent especially as I made each kit part it's own channel in the mixer for processing. Two things that I would like to figure out though. While I had multi velocities for note corresponding to a kit piece eg C1 kick , D1 snare center, E1 rimshot all with at least 15 layers of velocity, I wasn't able to figure out how to load various alternate hits (round robins) per velocity layer of each. Also, hihat, being able to have multi velocities with multi alternate hits per velocity for edge, bow, with the varying stages of open to closed controlled via modulation or some other CC note. I am told Kontakt is the best for this, but just wanted to see if this can be done with the sampler plug in.
great job ....masterclass status
Thnq so much
thanks for this video. When you dragged those samples into zone per note were those samples recordings of a piano at different velocities?
Are you able to do key triggers like kontakt?
Hi, question for you! is there a way to layer these zones (or samples) to one note? For example layering a snare, clap and tambourine together that can all be played with on one note.
Thank you for this - question I have is…. How do you simply export the loop as a wav? Thinking, ‘save as’ Wav ❤
Do you think its possible to have the "slice and distribute across the keyboard" function that the quick sampler has but in this sampler ?
How to import Akai CD-ROM and E-MU CD-ROM in Logic?
Is there a way to process the multi samples in sampler separately?
is there a way to record system audio in the sampler?
How do I assign a single sample to be mapped across the entire key range, whilst still being a part of the group? Thinking about having multiple 808's at the ready in my sampler that I can play on my keyboard Thanks
Hey Chris, I can't figure out why the fade options within the sampler are before the loop and at the end. Why isn't it at the start of the loop (Not before) in order to use the looped section without hearing any dips or clicks?
What's the reason for no gate playback mode, seems super counter intuitive.
I know this is a older video but I do have questions about creating my own very simple samples instruments?
Not sure why it took me so long to find this video...I was getting u mixed up with musictechhelpguy
when i drag two different audio files onto seperate notes to map, it combines them. how to keep sounds seperate
Ableton will get there... maybe sometime in the next decade... now just implemented Comping in its 11 version LOL... 2021...
How come I still have the old EX24?

Sampler appears in Logic pro 10.5
Wait so did this replace the ex24? Is it now called sampler (multi sample) ? I’m lost cuz I’m to look for ex24 and all of my settings are already set to advanced tools. Please help lol

Yes, this replaced EXS-24. He talks about it at the beginning of the video. Enjoy!
Ableton Live sampler is MUCH MORE intuitive. Thanks Ableton!
