I'm Samoan from Australia so this was great to watch. The "coconut spinach" is actually not spinach. It's taro leaves. Wish you guys had pani popo (coconut buns). Have not met a person who doesn't love it. Also the Australians from Fiji I can tell are ethnically Indian. There's a large Indian population there. And New Zealand fish N chips is better than Aussie and British lol

Samoan food is usually the mainstream when it comes to Pacific Island cuisine as Samoa is often the most well known of the Pacific Islands alongside Tonga and Fiji. I often prefer cuisines of the other less known island nations because they often don't use or don't use at all the imported and very fatty cuts of meat most Polynesians are familiar with like lamb flaps, turkey tails, corned beef, salted beef that have become so detrimental to our health. Seeing that plate gave me flashbacks to when I was built like big mama lol.
I am so proud that the afghani food came at number one and you guys loved it the most. Proud to be an afghan.

@@dalastkanakamaoli9058 As a Samoan/Hawaiian Polynesian I would have to say “Learn your roots”! As indicated by your name I can tell your Native Hawaiian-As a Native Hawaiian I can honestly say alot of us donʻt know our roots/history! As a Samoan though they are much more knowledgeable about our roots/history/culture! Youʻd be surprise to learn that the Samoans say they descend or are related to/from PoPoloʻs (Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, etc.)!

yea some Samoans are a mix of black and brown then some which are most are from the middle east just like the black just different places but we mostly can relate to the more brown people if u actually read ur bible there r 3 sons of noah one white, black and brown i think u african people relate to Fiji more since like u guys look alike and relate more than us Samoans cause we r like hawai'ians and the aztecs and mostly brown not black rlly but yea 👍
As a Samoan I love Afghan food! I eat Chicken and lamb kebabs with Naan every week because I live in Sydney and my area is mostly middle eastern. There is a much larger variety of foods to choose from compared to our selection so its humbling that you would mention our food 🙏.

Phillip V Persian is just a euphemism for Farsi, Dari, etc. He is Afghan, and he can be Persian as well. Also, "Afghani" is the name for the currency, not the food nor the type of people. It's Afghan, not Afghani.
