Samoa Joe Indian Clubs | Ep.66 Shoulder Mobility Workout

Спорт

WWE Superstar Sheamus aka The Celtic Warrior here... When I suggested to wrestling legend Samoa Joe we do a workout together, he said get some Indian Clubs. Few weeks later the 15lbs clubs came, I put them in my carry-on bag and headed off on the road. Snow storms, closed gyms, missing camera men, some hangovers, and a few more spanners in the works - ended-up carrying Joe's Indian Clubs around for 3 weeks!
Finally we got to do the Brave Change workout by begging my pals at Funko HQ in Everett to loan us their gym for an hour, and hey presto! We got Samoa Joe and his Indian Clubs on video... and what a unique workout it was, turns out using Indian Clubs / Persian Clubs is one of the most ancient training routines there are as warriors of the past used them to train for heavy sword battle. Plus WWF star, The Iron Shiek used the clubs as part of his gimmick back in the day, which gave Big Joe an excuse to cut a Shieky promo. Show off.
Add Japanese Push-Ups and the Ab Roller in the mix, and this workout almost went beyond... Brave Change.

Don't let the gimmick fool ya friend, Joe is a fantastic guy. The whole gimmick is just that, he's one of the nicest people I've ever had the chance to meet. I've met Joe twice, once in 2005 when he worked for TNA and again last year at a comiccon event. He's a great guy and super social. He has no problem taking pictures with fans and standing around chatting. Especially if you get into a convo about somethin' he loves lol

I'd love to see Roman Reigns workout with Sheamus, but a hell of fun as always.

I've got a couple of sets of clubs in my attic that I've never used! They belonged to my Grandad but after he passed I had no idea what they were really for but held onto them for sentimental value. I think I've just had a new dimension added to my workout regime! Great inspirational instruction guys! Thanks.

This video was recorded in my state. That makes me feel special. It’s probably stupid for me to say my own individual state, but whatever. Edit: Crap. I realized that out of context, this comment doesn’t sound good.

I really like that the focus is on form and technique. It looks like something anyone can incorporate into a workout, not just athletes.

It's really cool to see what he does, especially considering that he's really quick and agile for a man his size
