Sammy Davis welcomes Judy Garland for her 2nd of back - to - back appearances. Along with Judy, Frank Gorshin & Sammy put their skills as impressionists to the test.
The Letterman perform a tribute to Henry Mancini that is not to be missed.
The finale is a medley by the world's two greatest entrainers, Sammy & Judy.
Note: This episode caused some controversy when at the end of Judy's first appearance Sammy impulsively invited Judy back again next week and she accepted. Sarah Vaughn, who was supposed to be the next week's star guest refused to be billed under Judy Garland.
Sarah refused to appear and organized a boycott of African American entertainers demanding they refuse to appear on the second Garland show. Singer Terry Thorton agreed to appear in Sarah's place allowing Sammy to keep his word that every episode would have a multi-racial cast.

Some years ago , the medley was on KZread in color, although the print was crazy faded... one day we shall see this in all it's glory... it does exist ....time will tell
Just keep them coming. It's wonderful that we can still enjoy the brilliance of Sammy. They just don't make them like him anymore. I hope all his videos are safely conserved for posterity, because as things go down hill in these crazy times, we can see how it once was. What real talent looked like.
because there were several of them (3) they were the lettermen frank gorshin of course played the riddler in the batman series 1966/68

Do you have the show, with Trini Lopez, apparently perhaps with Sammy singing along with him, Trini playing his signature Gibson guitar, from his mid-1965 LP " The Rhythm and Blues Album " Let The Four Winds Blow " Peace

Thank you for your reply. I guess/ think/ that it may/ must/ still/ exist/ be/ out there, somewhere. About fifty years ago, I first saw in a music/ show biz/library book, the picture of Trini, electric guitar in hand & Sammy alongside of him. Many decades later online, I read about Sammy having his own show for a season,or part thereof. I think, it's from the early weeks of the show,which I gather, is January 1966. A late big fan of TL( deceased 2016) told me he had a, extremely worn, copy of that show, so I guess he,somewhere along the line with his connection/ friendship with the late singer, had procurated same. In any case, thank you for your channel which I recently subscribed to,& have listened/ watched/ a few clips,& just this AM, started watching the first show, with Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor. I have some audio from one source and video with bad audio when I take the bad audio off and attach the good, I can't sync the two. They start out together and very quickly get out of sync.
