That flower moment meant so much to him. If you all don’t know his story, He was bullied all his life and beaten brutally by other kids and men. When he was in the military he was bullied and beaten so badly that his face had to be reconstructed. He could have easily committed suicide but he stayed strong and became a star! Love this guy.

What an amazing performer he was. Love the way he accepts the rose and then gets straight back on the beat. True class. Sadly missed. Just oozing class.

Ok this made me cry!! What a precious moment, well Sammy, to that little girl and so many of us "The Candyman" brings us back to our inner childhood days and sheds some sunshine in our lives when sorrow grips our hearts and this is when we need it the most - thank you. God bless you, we all love you and miss you so much!!!

Sammy did an album with guitarist Laurindo Almieda you might like a lot. It's called Sammy Davis Sings, Laurindo Almieda plays. It is just the two of them. Almeida was the first artist to receive Grammy Awards for both classical and jazz performances. His discography encompasses more than a hundred recordings over five decades. Highly recommended but Amazon has it for $59. I have it and love it.

This was several years after '72 when he recorded this. So he's a little bit older and can't go over the top like he used to.

Probably a long concert night and the interruption...they always throw off the plan. Never seen him sing this song the same way twice. Seen him go super big as only he can, and seen him go light, like this. Love them all. It's Sammy!!💃🏿👏👑🎤🎵
