Two things, and could we take a breath and think about this please. First, we as normal emotional humans are being asked to take the lashes, swallow the poison, turn the cheek, accept the apology (until next time) WITHOUT REACTING - without protest, without disgust. The rage this garbage ignites is so contagious, but we're expected to just take it. Listen, exactly like the NFL kneel protest, THE PEOPLE'S RECOURSE, OUR ACTIONS MATTER. So think about how we can effectively demand and inspire change. Second. our civil right of peace and enjoyment is being stolen from us. The upset, the disgrace - its toxic to our lives and relationships. There must be accountability, the apologies just keep coming but there's no change. If they behave like ruthless thoughtless people, they should be treated as such and live out the consequence.

So yesterday, I saw an ad on TV for a story Megyn Kelly had a subject that interested me, so today I made a point of searching for Megyn Kelly to see if she put her stuff on You-Tube so I could watch it. Has anyone else done that? Just a You Tube search for "Megyn Kelly"? The first result I got was an ad for Samantha Bee. Now please somebody look me in the face and with a straight face please tell me that You Tube isn't bias and isn't trying to influence us in any way...

Eric Bess, actually no, youtube ads are based on demographic. You must be locate in america in order to receive samantha bee ads. I’m a foreigner and i received Trump ads a few times, and to be honest, Trump ads is really bad, I checked and it was really from his campaign ... imagine the frustration.

The issue isn't about language or characterizing people in ways that shouldn't be used. The entire hypocritical situation is what occured to said individuals. One got her show cancelled without remorse while the other one kept hers. That is the double standard. Trump himself or his staff or anyone supporting him never say that certain things shouldn't be said because of "muh feelings". What they DO point out is acknowledgment that they too, like the sensitive left, can call out BS or defamation as they also see fit. Again, never saying people aren't allowed to speak because that in itself goes against our rights. Therefore Roseanne should have kept her show too if there wasn't this double standard.

It's suffocating living in a culture of outrage and hypocrisy. Megyn Kelly says we should accept Samantha Bee's apology but doesn't say the same thing 4 Roseanne Barr.

Our nation and 'We the People' should be much more concerned about the over 800,000 children missing per year from United States that are our own citizens, rather than those who make a choice to break our nations laws by unlawful entry. If immigrants are so concerned about their children, then use ports of entry. As far as the comedians in this country if you are going to fire and cancel ones show for something they had said that is offensive, then do it for all. Isn't it funny how those who demand to tolerated are unwilling to tolerate?!

Use it to pay off the national debt - stay with me, this is out-of-the-box thinking. First, legislate the creation of the National Apology Broadcast Station (NABS). Second, require that all apologies based on Twitter posts and other outrageous broadcasts must be broadcast only through the NABS at an exorbitant rate per second. Third, allow comments about the apologies to be broadcast for the same fee. Wait a week (maybe two) - pay off the national debt with the proceeds.

These people are acting like children... where are the adults at? Where are the ones who are going to stand up for what’s right, and who’s going to lead the way? ... no one seems to care.

TBS is still a thing?

It is a double standard. But the way men and women are talking in the U.S. has become disgraceful. How has this happened? My father's and mother's generation spoke to and about people with gentleness.

The only *expletive* my Family, Friends and I see here is Samantha Bee, along with all of the other rancid, putrid *expletives* that agree with this heathen Samantha Bee, who is anything but a true woman.

This is THE SOLUTION OF “babies and children” being separated from their parents then my suggestion is to put their children on a plane ( or back to the border ) and send them back to where they come from. Tell their parents that their children will be at the border or airport to be picked up...BOOM, parents & children are united. See, it’s just that easy. Your problem would actually start with Bush, Clinton and Obama ... that policy has been in place for years. Trump has asked the Dems to respond to working together on DACA , but they won't budge. Maybe a bit more study on current events (starting about 20 years ago) would help you.

Bess Lee What Bee did was not satire, it was a flat out slur and insult. Calling any woman the C word is unacceptable. And the difference is that Roseanne's "Planet of the Apes" comment was an off the cuff Tweet, while Samantha Bee's comment was a scripted, pre-recorded comment that Bee, her producers, and TBS approved and allowed to air because they thought they could get away with it. Bill Maher also kept his job after having used the N word repeatedly and compared Islam to the mafia. Sorry, but that's not satire.

There's no double standard between racism and calling a single person a name because of actions they've chosen to take. Why does this need to be explained to you?

She has the right to ask her to step up and talk to her father about subjects that matter because she still works at the white house.

"Feckless" is an awfully big word for someone with Bee's intellect. I think she meant "freckle less". Twittter is the wild, wild , west.

Attacking the children of politicians is not right......and so much for the idea that we need more women to improve the tone and behaviour of public figures.
