Oh in American football they have a term called, "taking a knee". The game clock constantly runs unless a foul, a runner ran out of bounds, or a timeout has been called. So if the defensive team has no remaining timeouts, the ball is snapped and instantly kneeled, or put out of play. You can only do this in the last 2 minutes and if the defensive team has no timeouts, since that is the time limit the offensive team has to start a play. I guess they put that rule in exactly to stop people from running needlessly in an apparently erratic manner to the outside viewer lol

It's not that smart, if someone were to tackle him it would be turnover ball. On your own 5 meter line. And the opposition can keep the ball alive until they score and win, or it goes out and they lose. Big risk, would have had a better chance at victory with the drop goal. Can't gate too much though, It got the job done

As a proud Storm ⛈ fan since 2006, Walker done nothing wrong & plus Hayne do it at the end of game 2 of the 2014 State of Origin series & NSW fans don’t complain about Hayne doing the same thing then but some of them is complaining now which does not make sense, I don’t blame Walker or Hayne cause I will do the same thing to be honest & matter of fact I do it plenty of times on the online mode of Rugby League live 4 matches if i got the lead by under 6 points, Plus I want to win not lose so the fans need to back off about their pointless complaining about Walker smart act & that’s what true real competitors do give them nothing at all, Like will you rather give a team a chance to score to beat your team or try your best to beat the opponent no matter what??? Walker was trying his best to beat the dogs 🐶 by doing this smart play at the end, At least Walker, Hayne, myself & plenty of other people got a winner mindset or “give them nothing” type of mindset.
