Sheila was originally meant to be a recurring character. That didn’t happen, but they did bring her back a few times after the pilot. And Nancy Kovack was great in the role.

Bewitched was great at rehashing Old story lines.

Sheila never came close to Samantha's beauty and Charm! She knew it too. Jealousy was a brown haired snobby monster. One of my favorite episodes! 💜✌

Except the part where we love Endora, and her…we do NOT.

In the pilot Charles' name was "John". Missed twitch sound at the end of the unraveling. The cool thing about this episode is that when reruns ran in the 1980s they only showed the color seasons, and this episode had a flashback scene to episode one which was black and white. It was the only glimpse we had to the first two seasons until Nick at Nite brought them around 1990.

Yes, I remember! The last time I saw the black and white episodes was 1980 on ch 5 in NYC and only the Color episodes were shown going forward (the same with I Dream of Jeannie and Gilligan’s Island). Like you said, the best episodes weren’t seen again until 1990 on Nick at Nite.

When I was watching in the 80s, I was sure that there were B&W episodes but couldn’t prove it because they weren’t rerun. Then I saw this episode with the B&W flashback, and I knew.

I love the 60's styles. The ladies look gorgeous.

I wish Samantha said “oh, Sheila. I’m sure you’ll rub off on your husband too…when you get one.”

That awful woman never learns. No one could’ve played her like Nancy Kovack

Nancy Kovack's other most famous role was Medea in one of the Golden Age sword-and-sorcery classics, "Jason And The Argonauts" (1963). Ray Harryhausen, the master of Claymation, had that phenomenal scene with Jason battling the skeletons rising up out of the ground and the "skeleton" music by Bernard Hermann in that scene was stellar.

Is that a fly or a bee? One of the best episodes ever!

Sheila had everything that Sam dished out to her coming for treat her so shabbily!

I love Darren's and Samantha's expressions at the end 😂😂

One of my favorite episodes! I will always adore this show!

I know about that. My paternal grandmother used to call me "Karen." Now there was an old witch. Endora had nothing on her. At least Endora loved her grandchildren and didn't play favourites.

In case anyone didn't know, Nancy was also Clieo Venita in the 2 part episode "Cousin Serena Strikes Again". Actually, I think she looked better with the blonde hair.

She had it coming 🤷🏻‍♀️

Samantha can't stand Sheila. Sheila is always putting down people. So Samantha gets even with her. It's not the first time Samantha has gotten even with her. Sheila really asked for it and got her just deserts.

Where did you get that?!? Samantha has never been jealous of any woman in Darrin's life. In the 8 seasons this was on tv, Samantha's never demonstrated jealousy. She knows what genuine love looks like. If you're going by a five minute clip, I can see where you'd get it wrong.
