Sam Rayburn (MAJOR FLOODING) Tourney recap

Ойын-сауық

The next Hobie Bass Open kayak fishing tournament takes us to Sam Rayburn in early June. The lake was 10' high, and the fish were scattered. I got on a great wake bait bite in practice, but my tourney weekend was a STRUGGLE. I did two completely different things to try and stay alive!

@@kristinefischer2289 You are very welcome and honestly I do not even know how I ended up starting to follow you but I think you only had about 1000 subs at the time but I was very impressed with you and have always just loved your down to earth personality and the fact that you are a real angler that knows her stuff!

Those flooded conditions look tough. Better luck with water levels in future events. You were still showing off the skill set with that Carolina rig. That was cool to watch.

I feel like you need a shorter net handle. I think it would help you be able to maneuver the net faster to get it under the fish. I’m cut mine down shorter and stuffed some pieces of pool noodle up inside the handle to make it float and then put the cap back in the end. I know the longer net can give you some leverage and reach but I feel like it is harder to manage on the quick when you need it. Love watching the video’s!

Hope next trip lake Sam Rayburn is better it’s down to just 1ft high now I caught several bass yesterday eve cranking a 6XD and they are opening back up more bait ramp areas now I had heard some guys wanting to go fish north end of lake but wasn’t any launches open but I had a place the could have put in but didn’t know how they would have been parking on side of a dirt road to put in at this location it’s actually a nice dirt double ramp when water is down as it is now I used it last week 3 times
