Spider-Man 2 will always be my favorite superhero film

I don’t mind Multiverse of Madness. It’s not better than the Quick and the Dead though. I love that western. Russell Crowe pre-Gladiator, Leonardo DeCaprio flirting with Sharon Stone, so many great actors who are much more famous and familiar to people now. Totally worth rewatching!

Big fan of Quick and the Dead. Underrated and fun.

Dont be sorry or ashamed of your loce for Dr.strange! As a huge sam Raimi fan it was one ofnmy favorite mcu films period. I agree with all the points you made but will double down and say that I love they made Wanda a villian. In the show she brainwashes and kidnaps a towns worth of people. She isnt a hero anymore and never really was in the comics anyways. 10/10 would watch Dr strange ressurect his dead corpse from another universe again

Sam Raimi is one of those people in the film history who conceived such great, authentic yet classy films and work with his methods, his way of conveying stories, and how he gets you to remember his career. I love the fact that he did Spider-Man and that film alone has stuck with me since childhood because what’s greater than Spider-Man? A SAM RAIMI film directed Spider-Man with Tobe Maguire!

Sam Raimi gave birth to some of my favorite movies and inspired Guillermo Del Toro to begin film making.

For the ones I’ve seen (not counting the Spider-Man films since it’s been so long since I’ve seen them that I can’t really rate them): 1. Evil Dead II 2. Army of Darkness 3. A Simple Plan 4. Drag Me to Hell 5. The Quick & the Dead 6. Evil Dead 7. Oz: The Great & Powerful Evil Dead I is my quintessential “film I respect more than I like”

Dude! I couldn't agree with you more about Multiverse of Madness. It might be that I'm not a fan of the MCU movies (I've barely seen any) and I didn't watch that Wandavision show before this (I've heard a ton of people pissed off that the movie wasn't consistent to that show) but I just enjoyed the movie thoroughly. Like you, the best part was seeing Wanda going crazy and just ELIMINATING people. I might have to buy a copy of that movie at some point lol Also, thanks for shedding some light on that "A Simple Plan" movie. I've never heard about it but it sounds like the kind of thing I dig. Will watch that one for sure!

Sam Raimi is my favorite film maker of all time. He has such a unique style. I remember studying his cinematography and use of shadows in my highschool film class. Absolute GOAT.

Yeah same I’ve seen the main ones like Halloween thing escape from Ny big trouble and Christine. But aside from that not much others. Also it’s great to see people appreciate evil dead it’s top 5 horror movies of all time imo

Haven't seen Multiverse of Madness but it's apparent that they didn't let Reimi put his vision and creativity to full use. His version would've been much more horror-esque than the final version we got. Also: Hey! The Bully Maguire dance scene was a masterpiece!

Yeah so Raimi got fucked over with Crimewave by the producers. It was his first studio movie which really messed him up, and ultimately what made him want to go back and make Evil Dead 2. He pretty much had no say so in the finished movie. But yeah, Raimi rules.

Evil Dead is also one of my favorite movies, it was sooo good, my best friend and I used to be sooo scared of that movie ahhaha... A smiple plan was really good I liked it a lot.
