It is because Simon cares more about what currently sells than he cares about music and people's talents, if they aren't exactly what he is looking for at the time. But supposedly, it IS his show. I just wish people that entered these competitions would realize that Simon is looking for only a few types of singers. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Sam's voice, his presence, his choice of song or the way he sang it. It is just because his style is not current that resulted in the no.

As a very happily married man and father of a girl and a boy I have to say that Sam Black is a very charming and talented singer. He has everything a woman could dream of and to be proud of. I don't know the outcome of his candidature on this competition, but to me he has won everything. A beautiful and loyal wife and such a gift of a baby.

Just amazing singing. So different from the norm the judges just couldn't get their heads round this. Also the guy is a star. Great to hear some old stuff too. Really my kid will love this. Sam needs to get his stuff up KZread. And he will take off. He's just got a special voice. Really want to hear him do a complete song with no pressure .
