I just realized what it is that makes this the best show ever to me. Its like gay scooby doo without the repetition of formulaic time padding. We get introduced to new characters at such breakneck pace in an incredibly organic way. I've always been awed by the writing of sam and max, but i only just have come to appreciate how truly distinct each and every episode is. The dialogue is on a league of it own in any media ever, but so many aspects of the worldbuilding is done impeccably

For any commentor who is reading this and is confused: The Desoto is Sam(the dog) and Max(the rabbit)'s car which is in basically,a time machine,submarine, and space shuttle on wheels

In a normal cartoon, Sam and Max would ultimately treat Lorn as a supervillain in his own right, arresting him and freeing the other villain. Which is what I expected when I first watched this episode. But instead, they appreciate Lorn's efforts and regulate him to running an internet blog. Extremely creative and useful!

Indeed. Contrast this with the nerd villain in the Powerpuff girls. A character who only exists to demean anyone over the age of 10 and male that liked the Powerpuff girls enough to collect merch (which is one of the reasons why the show went on for as long as it did and keeps getting remade).

I love the anime, the games, and the manga. I’ve gotten all the games at home along with the manga volumes with the anime blu-ray. I am such a weeb. The scene where Makkusu dies while Samu watches makes me extremely depressed. Yet it has some of the most hilarious and dirty scenes of all time, even though the anime had to tone the series down. One of the greatest Japanese franchises of all time.
