Sam Kerr - "Australia's Golden Girl"
This video is all about Australia's golden girl, Samantha Kerr. Australia's best ever female footballer.
This is my first attempt at a player tribute montage. I like the way it turned out. I could have released this video in 3 parts because with all 3 songs that I included, it gave the video a different feel. I tried to show her amazing skills, achievements, as well as the fun side and even the hard times all in one video. Hopefully you enjoy the video.
Having started her professional career at the age of 15, Kerr has played for many clubs and broken many records. Sam has played for Perth Glory, Sydney FC, Western New York Flash, Chicago Red Stars and now is with Chelsea FC. Not to mention her illustrious international career for Australia's national side, the Matildas.
At the present time she is the all-time leading scorer in both the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in the USA and the W-League in Australia.
Kerr has won many awards in her career such as the Julie Dolan Medal (best player in Australia in 2017). The PFA's Women's Footballer of the Year Award (4 times). Named the 2018 Young Australian of the Year. 2018 ESPY Award for Best International Women's Soccer Player. In 2019, she became the first Australian player - male or female - to score a hat trick at a World Cup Tournament. As well as being named on the shortlist for the Ballon d'Or in both 2018 and 2019.

At 73yrs old and a life long Chelsea fan, I can honestly say that Emma and the whole Chelsea team, probably made the best decision of the decade to take this super star.

Hi Eric I beat you by a few years, I've got fond memories of standing in Stamford Bridge as a 16 year old kid in 1956, moved from London in 1966 to Sammy's neck of the woods, and have lived ever since in beautiful sunny Perth Australia, 82 years young and still a Blues supporter. @@justinthyme5382 Hello Justin. My family moved from Islington to Welwyn Garden City in '55 0r '56. Moved to the Bahamas to work in '73 for 5 yrs. Couldn't get 1st Div. there at that time. Now I live in North Carolina in the US, and can watch Premier League all weekend. Hope you are well. Cheers from the US.
She is by far the most likeable player and with the coolest back flip. You've got to love her.

I am an 81 year old Australian man who has never liked any of the football codes mainly because of the thuggish behavior of men players both on and off the field but Sam Kerr has changed my thoughts on the sport with her absolutely brilliant natural talent and wonderful attitude to the game.
