Sam and Castiel really did love Jack unconditionally. Poor Jack. Him crying in the box broke my heart. And Dean? Dean only started to like him after Jack brought Castiel back. It was never a real father/son love

Wow. I love this SO freaking much! Sam and Cas are Jack's fathers, I don't care what anyone says. Dean barely even wins the cool uncle award with the way he treats that boy. And listen, I get where Dean's feelings are coming from. He lost his mom. But he was horrible to Jack before that happened, right when the kid was born! Dean had time to remedy those feelings the first time, but he never did. IMO, he tolerated and had affection for Jack, but he never loved him the way that Sam and Cas have. Sam and Cas have loved Jack unconditionally, have put themselves in harm's way and even died for him. They're fierce in their love for him. And this vid shows that. I legit got chills at Cas's emphatic "NO" when Dean said he's in the Malach box, because, exactly. Dean makes a big spiel about family not ending with blood, and the first real mistake that Jack makes, he instantly is out to murder him and trap him for eternity. Again, I understand his feelings. But if Jack was truly his SON, his BOY, he would've been conflicted and been visibly upset at doing it. Sam and Cas were. No matter what he'd done, that love wasn't just gone, and Sam shooting Chuck for Jack, and Cas doing everything he has.... they love him so much.

Not "cool uncle", Dean is the classic reluctant step-father to Jack. His family (Sam and Cas) decided to adopt this kid with questionable parentage going against Dean's explicit wishes and Dean never got over that. It's going to sound like a weird example but they remind me of Tarzan, the Mom Gorilla who raised him, her husband the leader who barely tolerated him for her sake and poor Tarzan dedicating himself to winning his approval and to finally be accepted as his son. 😢😢

Ok I'm just gonna say this, only sam and cas are Jack's father's, as much as I love dean, he only started caring for him after he bought back cas from dead, if he hadn't, he'd still be a little bitch towards him and sam would still be supportive and would have helped him And when Mary died? Did people really forget that shes Sam's mother too? Like he never had a mother figure in his entire life and when he thought he finally got her back, shes dead again but he didnt let that affect his love for jack, he still loved him and treated like hes family (Some people really say dean and cas are his "parents" like why? Dean tried to kill him many time and if that's what you call parenting then good for you)(worst part is they say sam is his uncle, bitch where? Without him I bet he'd be dead by now)

Dean is like the cool uncle, sam and cas are his fathers who bonded with him straight away and have unconditional love. Dean just blamed Jack at first and didnt want to care for anyone or hope again after losing cas and his mom all at once and crowley lol, he just turned it all on Jack which isnt right at all, I hated him for it, he was my favourite until my precious nougat angel Jack came along. But I can understand Dean and that it really wasnt about Jack, he just feels more greatly than most. My boy Jack deserves the world though 💙

But Sam also is not jack's father because sam helped dean and accepted with dean's plan that was jack's killing even after they puts jack in malek box sam doesn't shows sorry. But castiel was only person who angry and disagree with dean's plan for killing jack.

And to think dean used to be favorite character

I still like Dean, but Sastiel brotp/Jack's dads are just ❤❤❤

Me : I want more Sam/Jack in s14 instead of Dean/Jack. SPN : have Sam regrettably manipulate Jack instead ( Dean used to be my fav character but he has grown into an asshole while Sam and Cas have had a great development and their bond with Jack proves it )

I'm pissed about the writers for both Sam and Dean. They concentrate on Dean because he's fan favorite and as a result he became the asshole. He's being a dick and whiny and drama queen. And Sam is like his punching bag now. Unqualified writers sacrificing characters for the sake of plot and fanservice

YES!! I LOVE this!! Sam and Cas are defiantly Jacks fathers. I always loved them as Jacks fathers. And I hate how the writers tried making Dean a father figure after he was a asshole to Jack, just to make him a asshole again with no remorse.

But Sam was agreed with dean plan for telling lie jack and jack's locking in the box and jack's killing.only castiel is disagree. In sam and dean is jack's uncle and castiel is jack's father. But dean is so bad uncle dean tried kills jack for several time.

Rant incoming, read at your own discretion: Alright. I get Dean being angry at Jack, I really, really do. But people don't seem to understand that Mary was SAM's mother too. Sam lost his mother too, someone whom he didn't even know and then, when she came back, barely had time to bond with because Dean took up most of her time. Yet, Sam is the one who has actually grown past the anger of his early years and turned into a better person. He was devastated by Mary's loss, and he still chose to forgive Jack because he knew it wasn't his fault! Because he, kind hearted soul that he is, always does his best to understand the other's point of view, not just his own. THAT is strength. That is fatherly love. Not the fickle, highly conditional thing Dean feels towards Jack. Hell, even in 15x17, THREE EPOSODES BEFORE THE END OF THE SHOW, Dean made a point of calling Jack "not family". That was the last straw for me. The years have made Sam into a better and kinder person, while they've just made Dean into more and more of a self-absorbed, bitter and toxic asshole. He is so often abusive to the people he cares about it's not even funny. Dean never tries to understand anybody else's point of view except for his own. Even with Sam, he most often only thinks about what he wants for Sam, instead of asking what Sam wants for himself. He literally regularily has to have some sense beaten into him, be that verbally or physically, before he can even start to admit that maybe his point of view is not the non plus ultra. And even then, he just justifies his toxic behavior with "I was hurting". And the people around him somehow forgive him every time. But if ANYBODY else justifies their own behavior that way, you can bet that Dean will hold them accountable for every single mistake they've ever made in their lives, and will not make them forget that (the best example for that is pretty much the entirety of season 8, which still makes me want to scream). Now, if the writers actually took that and made it a point that Dean grows past that toxicity, then I'd absolutely love that. I want to see how people can grow and change, even though it's incredibly hard. Because we all have unhealthy and toxic traits within us, and I want to see people triumph over that. I want to see people become the best versions of themselves they can be, because that gives me hope and determination to do the same. Sam is the perfect example. Even though shunted to the sidelines more often than not, he has never lost his kindness, on the contrary. The years took off the rough, angry, selfish and bitter shell and revealed a beautiful and pure soul that can find the good in ANYONE, and forgive more fully than anyone I've ever seen. He has so much pain inside him, but he doesn't use that to lash out and justify hurting others. Instead, his pain, his experiences make him reach out to others who are also in pain, and he tells them "I hear you. I know you're in pain, and I still love you. I know you've made mistakes, and done horrible things, and I STILL. LOVE. YOU. Because everyone is worthy of love, and if others can forgive me, if I can forgive MYSELF, then I can forgive you too." Castiel is similar to Sam in that regard, which just makes me admire Sam even more because Cas is a literal angel, and it's still mostly Sam who teaches HIM the importance of forgiveness and never giving up on people. But Dean on the other hand hasn't had any real growth since at least season 8. Even worse, the writers seem to actually think he is in the right by acting this way! They praise him for hollow growths and character traits that he's had since the beginning of the show, like feeling too much and loving too intensely, while neglecting all his flaws that he hasn't even TRIED to grow past and is just ignoring and shunting off onto others. And for that, the writers throw all other characters to the side. And it's truly sad that in the end, he died with none of his issues resolved. Yes, I'm extremely bitter. Not because I hate Dean, but because I LOVE Dean. I love him so much, I love the person he was, and know that he deserved so, so much better. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

You can say whatever you want, argue whatever you want, justify Dean however you want, but Jack only had 2 fathers: Sam and Castiel. And you can't change that. Dean didn't deserve to be called Jack's anything, just because Dean is broken does NOT mean he has to hurt others.

Omg, I remember how I hated the chapters with Dean conviecing Sam to "talk" to Jack, and lie to him just to lock him uo... You could see on Sam's face how he hated doing that.... When Jack was on the box sacred and screaming my heart broke... (T-T). Why Dean!? You can't blame Jack like that... He had no soul, damn it... He thought he was doing right...

Poor baby. Both of his real parents died on the day he was born, and even tho he got Cas back, he still had to go through a huge amount of pain in the space of less then five years.

@@benjaminrodriguez2091 it's true jack's biologic father is lucifer but jack's real father is just castiel. Lucifer don't anything for jack and he doesn't love jack he just uses jack's power. But castiel loved jack both with power and both no power. Even castiel saves jack's life and helped him several times.

Sam and Castiel were the smart ones in this situation I just hate Dean and the apocalypse world Bobby so much how could they even think hes a monster .I mean I see why Bobby is like that but Dean,even after they got to know him .Jack was great and so innocent that he believed you Dean and the actual father figure for Jack has to be Castiel im sorry but Cass didnt even know him but treated him like a son and when he got to know they kept Jack in the box Cass saying no I just loved castiel, seriously and i love his character hes my favourite even Sam loved Jack the same

While I understand why people are upset with the writers when it comes to Dean and his feelings toward Jack I also understand where Dean is coming from. I mean he lost his mom and not just that, he lost her because of someone who he grew to trust after having reservations about him. I do hate that Dean was that way toward Jack but I do get it.

@@Aliya-cn8dp Mainly considering the fact that Jack did that by accident and because he'd lost most of his soul saving them from Michael. Dean has a pattern of giving up on anyone other than Sam faster than he should like with Cas at the start of Season 7. It was Sam who called out to Cas and got him to go to them at Bobby's for help.

The fact that Dean was a jerk to Jack in the beginning of season 13 broke my heart but the part where he's locked in the box broke my heart even more I'm so angry at Dean for turning on him for no reason when all Jack wanted was to do good things in the world I understand that he was angry because he lost his mom but he really shouldn't have locked him in there Jack deserves a better ending then what he got it makes me so sad I'd say Sam and Castiel are more of a father figure to him than Dean I gotta hand it to Cas for always having faith in Jack and for never giving up on him omg I love him so much for that 💕 what were they thinking locking him up like that in the first place my poor little cinnamon roll please come back baby I miss you and you deserved more than what you got 💔😭😤

This really showcases his true fathers... cas would NEVER have agreed to locking jack up so he's the truest dad & Sam was unfortunately persuaded into doing it. But this also once again highlights how terrible the Winchesters are at acting..... 🤦🏼‍♂️

Spoiler -don't read if you didn't watch season 15 yet . . . . . . . Jack is back, and the bros are at it again. Just wanna say that Jack is such a cool character, and Dean actually couldn't really be called bad- he did what he had to. Good edits though, really points out the chemistry between the adults and Jack.

I hate the way that Dean treated Jack

His last words were literally "im a monster" fuck me

All of the dean hate in the comments is really stupid. All of the people saying that they never liked dean or don’t, then why are you watching the show when you don’t like one of the main characters. And yes, I do understand why everyone’s mad at him. I was so mad at him when he was mean to Jack, but it makes sense. Deans entire life he’s never just trusted someone. Not to mention he was the son of satin. But after he proved that he was good, dean was nicer to him. Not to mention, idc what other people say, Sam and jacks relationship was built off of pity. Dean was straight forward with Jack and Sam wasn’t even honest about wanting to use him. I mean in the first few episodes Sam tired multiple time prying at Jack to get him to use his powers. At least dean was honest. And I’m not excusing Dean behavior because he shouldn’t of projected his problems onto Sam and Jack. And he did deserve a good slap for the way he treated them.

Just because people hate dean doesn't mean they cant watch the show that's just a matter of opinion. Also dean throught out his life only trusted one person and that was sam. Also sams relationship with jack was base on pity but it wasnt a manipulative one, he felt pity on jack cause he was like a younger version of sam......with the whole demon blood and yellow eyes. Also dean did deserve a good slap but his actions were unstable cause of lucifer but dean should have been the most obvious person to know that no one should be held by their parents past.

I honestly hate how many people are ripping Dean a new one, when in all reality, Eric Kripke wanted Dean to be the more badass, less trustworthy one, and Sam the more openhearted one. So, ever since Season One, Dean hasn't trusted anyone new in the beginning, whereas Sam has always done this. And also, Jack is the son of the Devil, and after Dean and Sam's experiences with Lucifer, It makes sense for Dean to be against him. At least his character developed and it showed that Dean was more than capable of being a father figure even though he had none of his own. (Of course John was his father, but the guy wasn't his DAD.) I'm cool with all of them as Jack's father figures tbh. They all teach him different things about life and how to deal with it. So it's just a trinity of fatherly love that shouldn't hae any criticisms on any side. Yeah 14x19 was really out of character for all of them, well that isn't Dean's fault. So chill.

Like he more about dean cas and sam he doesn’t even see Lucifer as his dad, dean was a dick to jack even tho jack proved over and over he just wanted to do good. He lost his soul cuz Sam and dean brought him back to life and made that decision for him and now are mad at him cuz it’s come back at them? It’s their fault jacks soulless he saved their asses countless times and burned off his soul to save everyone. So dean is just being a thoughtless dick
