Hi Sam & Jess I think it's about acute back pain. The patient is blocked in only one position and this is usually in a slight bend. For example, all movement to the sides, sneezing is severe pain and difficulty breathing. Causes of acute pain: Sudden increases in muscle tension in the lumbar spine are caused by inappropriate movement or position. I recommend you visit physiotherapy

But the point is we can’t diagnose a patient for just acute back pain as a residence that’s working with a hospital I can tell you that there is more underlying symptoms that could cause acute back pain and if we just diagnose it straight without looking deeper into such issues then I would just recommend you see your regular doctor to see what they would suggest if your family doctor suggest you this treatment option I will suggest you take it.

Sam’s face when he saw the caramel was priceless! I had back pain to the point where I couldn’t move, can’t remember the diagnosis, but it went away after a while. Haven’t had any back pain for a couple years. Hope you get better soon!😊

Based on the symptoms Sam is describing, it sounded like an auto-immune disorder called Ankylosing Spondylitis. I personally don't have the disease but based on the symptoms described by people who actually had the disease. The cause for this disease is unknown. I am not a doctor so it is better to go to the doctor for an official diagnosis. If it is actually that, I would suggest going to see a specialist, so you can understand the disease better and possible ways you can manage the disease. Really hope Sam will feel better soon!
