Nothing was handed to him nor has he rode on the coattails of others he had a dream of becoming a successful actor took every opportunity in place movies television to make that dream come true and has brought Jamie Fraser's character to life right before our eyes. And a huge thanks should go out to Sam's mother who raised him as a single parent and instilled values that he still follow us today he keeps both feet on the ground and unlike most actors who wants they achieve success forget the thousands of fans who helped them make it Sam has not forgotten those of us that love him still. He always takes time for a selfie a hug and a smile even in the pouring cold weather he never overlooks anyone. Plus he's a perfect role model I'm like most who have a criminal record as long as your arm or DUI drugs and so forth Sam does not nor does he have 10 children by seven different women that he does not support. So a huge Bravo to his mother for doing an excellent job and raising such a kind hearted charitable and loving Scottish gentleman. And I hope he enjoys every penny of his wealth because no one deserves it more.

Help your self while helping others. At least if one is wealthy enough you will not have to pay taxes. So in a way you help yourself twice. Depends on who the OTHERS are.. often others like ones self. So it becomes a double return to each. What goes around comes around.

@@naomimaria6893 Not personally about this subject but just saying one is usually advised to set up a shelter when they come into large sums of 'income' .. tax shelters referred to as charity. Most of the proceeds if not all become write off . So not only no tax is paid but one even obtains reverse income above additionally. Then friends or cohorts can be paid with residual. Common knowledge. Just needs an astute financial advisor and political insight.

Shoot. I’m surprised Sam ONLY gets 100k per episode?! Jennifer Aniston got paid 1 million per episode of FRIENDS towards the end ...& that tv sitcom was NOTHING compared to Outlander! Nothing against Jen, but compared to Sam, as far as acting, she’s vanilla. Sam, on the other hand, he comes with all the flavor, sprinkles and all! Yes actors get a ridiculously high salary. 100k is a lot. He definitely earns it though. Hes not just talented, but the amount of hours in inclement miserable weather conditions, memorizing lines, working at whatever hour of night to perfect a scene, working w an intimacy coach to perfect sex scenes, the emotional wear and tear he takes home afterward is something most careers don’t dedicate themselves to. (Well, I’m a medic and I can check off everything but memorizing lines 😂 & I probably could use an intimacy coach from the amount of emotional wear and tear I take home). 😂 Still, I’m no Sam Huygen! He’s definitely worth more than 100k per episode.

That amount 5-6 million was reported after 2nd Season of OL. It is possible his net worth would be around what this guy says now. Sam is a very smart business man and he has many ventures on the go all earning lots of money. He is an entrepreneur now, not just an actor and a philanthropist (gives his money away).

Nobody should care about what he earns. Do you want other people to know what you earn? The fact that Sam Heughan does good things with a lot of his money is great and enough information. It also saves him taxes but I can absolutely believe his passion to help people comes first. That is what I would do with a lot of money as well. To me that would be my purpose in life fulfilled! I do not need to live comfortably. Would you too? It is the best feeling in the world and I wish I could make more of a difference. So, thank you to everyone who can and does!

I agree at some point actors deserve a privacy just because they're actors their lives don't belong to us and certain aspects should not be broadcast and even embellished for the sake of views and clicks. Sam's personal life and his net worth is his own business he has worked hard to earn every penny unlike most he earned his fortune by hard work and did not ride the coattails of others. Sam and even Caitriona personal life should be just that personal they don't need everything broadcast for the world. Even though I love Sam I don't need or or care how much he's worth I would love him if he only had a dollar to his name.

I agree that his net worth is about 6-7 million dollars. Compared to other stars, he lives a relatively modest lifestyle. Motorcycles are one of his few indulgences.This video did not show any accurate views of the exterior of his farmhouse. By Hollywood standards, his historic Glasgow home is very reasonably priced. Because he is an Audi brand ambassador, he gets the use of an Audi as a perk and probably does not own it. Before being cast in Outlander, he said he was so poor he considered giving up acting. Although he appeared in several films before Outlander, none of them were the kind of blockbusters that could provide a big salary. British actors in general make far less than American actors. No one knows what her makes per episode on Outlander, but he isn't the highest paid because his co-star Catriona Balfe makes exactly the same amount.

He is the whole show everyone of the case is great but he did make women watch it more because of his acting n body he should be the next James Bond he is a great actor n a sex symbol can't wait for season 7n8 thank you Sam

1.5 million dollars is just a step above average here in canada.

Ha! Try moseying around in an Audi M8 on Scotland's roads...you'd wreck it for sure! That shot of him in the car is most likely for promotional purposes. That would also explain the kilt. A farmhouse for a Million Dollar? Well, that's about 770000 GBP at the mo, and that is what you pay for a normal house anywhere around Edinburgh and Glasgow, or Perth for that matter. If you want cheap housing, go up to the north, or to the Outer Hebrides! As for the rest of it? Good on him I'd say. I just hope that he's content and surrounds himself with people that like him for himself and not for his outward projection.
