Yeah I think the main reason the nicer ones win is because they're not too high and mighty about their food being better and are generally open about trying the food but also give constructive criticism at the same time - though some did give leeway points and were too nice about the scoring.

Yeah I know some people are very insistent about their tastes being right but I think each person has their own personal preference. Doesn’t make it wrong or right. I personally like Loroco pupusas and I like to be able to tell there is masa in there. I had friends who preferred more doughy versions. To each their own

I was born in EL Salvador but adopted at 6 months. I grew up in a typical white meat and potatoes household. I've always wanted to try food from my biological culture but have been afraid because I don't like spicy food. But these looked really cool. I want to find somewhere to try them now.

I've never had it as chunks, it's always just been ground pork. This is the reason I didn't like pupusas de chicharrón or revueltas. It was a straight up lie. Then again, I just don't like them at all. They're always greasy and floppy.

It’s so refreshing because I have both influences in my family and my husbands mom is very honest when I tried. Through the years I have come along way and perfected my own recipe. But quite honestly my brother in laws nana makes the best. Can’t compete with wisdom and her pallet of life with so much love. 👏
