Salvador Dali on "I've Got a Secret" part 1 of 2

Ойын-сауық

This not-as-funny-as-they-thought-it-would-be appearance opens the 1963 game show "I've Got a Secret" (Feb. 25) by Dali putting his face in the Mona Lisa -- literally. Then he critiques artwork by regular panelists Bill Cullen, Betsy Palmer, Henry Morgan, and Bess Myerson, commenting "No comment" in each case. Is he real? Is he putting us on? You decide. In part 2 he comes across no better. This episode is an interesting contrast to his appearance on "What's My Line?" (also available on KZread), where the whole enterprise seems more serious.

No at all. dali loves the cameras, he liked very much be in front of a camara. And I don`t think he thougth that he was in a stupid programm with stupid people, on the contrary I think he is deligthed. As many artist, Dali was generous with others who din't know anthing about art. Many times people think that all the artits are inflexible intellectuals.

Trite? Oh, really? And how many deep and philosophical TV shows do you know, cheesey? Actually I thought this was very entertaining. Just because somebody is very good at something doesn't mean he should look down at everyone else. Humility and a sense of humor has never done anyone harm.
