Hi Gregor. Thank you for your comment. I know that sometimes the hook get stuck on the back but is the compromise when you deal with such slim body 😊 Regarding 39gr I deliberately have these hooks because as I mentioned in the video, with lazy fish, smaller hooks do the job😊

Hi Momchil. Deep Walker 2.0 has more reinforced body and the small lip help give better action during jerk, gives better action in the currents and also make deep Walker effective during side wind☺️

Caught also a big sepia (more then 1 kg) with the deepwalker 😅

Hi markos, i have noticed that The new version of deep walker(i have the former version in many sizes) has a lip!! What is it for? Does the new version has its own swimming action while retreiving or does the lip helps us more attractiveness while jerking and twitching? Or does the lip helps For both?:)))

Hi Zeq! The major improvements from first model and the second model are, one more reinforcement in the body and the lip. This pseudo lip does not give any swimming action with normal retrieve! But yes it gives a more alive and naughty action while jerking and twitching, especially when the lure is far and deep, (exactly when our spool missing lot of braid and the retrieve length per crank is less). The second reason is that when you have strong lateral wind, this lip provides a better grip in the water so the wind does not cancel your twitch. The third improvement is that this small lip retains the lures perfect action in the currents! 😀

Hi Sylvain! Active times are a result of the water currents and the weather conditions. So there is not a standard best hour! However During dusk is a powerful moment for barracudas no matter what!

Im in Mallorca, what time of the day should i be fishing? Im guessing its best in the morning and evening. Is it totally useless to fish around 12-4:00 pm or is it possible to catch fish still?

Hello markos Iv beeen using deep walker now on 4000 reel and 20to50g rod on 0.18braid and 0.35 flurocarbon what do you reccomend beacuse the fish hitting the lire instantly breaking my line... And can i use this lure on topwater like any other lures or should i let it sink to work? Thank you greetings

Hi Serge. It seems that you are using the 39gr version. Deep Walker is effective on big fish indeed. I suggest that you get a 20-70 rod, 5000 reel, pe #2.0 braid and 0.45mm leader. Otherwise you can get a light shore jigging rod like SGS2 shore jigging 30-100gr with a 6000 reel PE #2.5 and 0.55 leader, use also deep Walker 50 and 70 and kick their asses💪💪💪

Do you let the deep walker touch the bottom before retrieving or do you go close, but not to touch? If you touch, how do you not snag?

In this video I don't allow it to reach the bottom. In other videos I do. And I don't get snags because I know perfectly my areas and the currents,🙂

with the 39g deep walker I can remove the central treble hook and replace the others with single hooks?

But how do you know how long to let the lure drop? I recently lost a cast hacker when I misjudged that and since I got it when my girlfriend found it snorkeling on our previous vacation, I'm guessing I'm not the only one having trouble judging that.

You have to know your hunting territory and deep terrain very well. This baby has 2 very big trebles. You got to be sooo lucky or got to know your terrain very well to avoid snagging.

Another solution would be this if You dont know the terrain well. I suggest You to cast a jig first. Calculate the depth by checking your multicolor braid. And after that You cast a deep walker or a cast hacker. For exp, you calculated that the depth is 40m. And while casting a deep walker, you stop your braid at 30-35meters. That would solve the problem.

For me best way is to buy multicolor braid and cast a jig and measure how deep the water is by counting multicolor meters. Then switch to treble lure and count the meters. If water is 20 meters deep I never go over 15m. It if is 40 meters deep I go around 30 ..... There are other tactics with knowing sinking speed per second and counting seconds but this is not reliable since strong curents can impact the sinking speed.

What I love most with my subscribers is the willing to help each other! People from different countries give their feedback to each other! This how fishing should always be! A Uniting hobby rather than a competitive one! Thank you zaq and UL for your answers. Both are very correct! Dear Matic when you target for the bottom species, you need to go down low! But 2-3m from the bottom are enough for a hungry snapper or grouper to attack. However on lazy days you need to "lick" the bottom and this needs a hell of experience! :)

Thank you all for your suggestions, they all make sense, but as knowing the terrain is not a realistic option, I just added a bunch of jigs and a multicolor braid to the shopping list :)

Δάσκαλε σε χαιρετώ. Έχω το savage gear sgs6 all around 251m 20-60gr και θα δουλεύω μόνο τεχνιτά απο 25-45gr (το 90% των τεχνιτων που θα δουλεύω θα είναι από 25-35gr και 2 τεχνιτά επιφανείας 40-45gr). Τι διάμετρο νήμα και leader θα μου πρότεινες για αυτά τα γραμμάρια;
