    As someone who runs vorinclex with this one in the deck, only way I will let anyone kill voice of hunger is with a board wipe, but by the time someone can use one I will probably have something to get him out of the graveyard

    I had a game on Monday where a Vorinclex showed up, and an Ulamog the Infinite Gyre shortly after. While both got answered, there was a lot of ill will around the table for the guy who played those cards. Which let me get by and resolve a Rise of the Dark Realms to grab the very same Vorinclex among other things, doubling my mana and letting me run away with the game.

    It slows people down, but it doesn't say "Enemies can't untap lands" just that they can't the next turn after they do tap them. It's not as salty as other cards, but it warrants an immediate removal.

    Just picked up a single yesterday for my Jodah, The Unifier deck. He makes my 7th praetor in that deck, topped off with Realbreaker. With my elesh norn giving +2+2 and jodah's effect it's a +9+9 to everything but elesh as soon as they enter. Jin-Gitaxias prgress tryant as removal defense. Doesn't always pop off how I'd like, but it gets all the salt when it does.

    I welcome the hate. The person at my table playing a $2.3k Kaalia deck that removes me from the game first every time we shuffle up, or the plethora of people who play stax control, completely locking everyone out of the ability to play the game have killed my sympathy for Vorinclex haters. People don't want to have to play with a card like Vorinclex in mind because it makes them have to play cautiously and keep mana up to respond to the threat just in case it drops. If you're playing casually, and aren't sitting at the table with $1,000+ decks, then you can justify feeling like that card isn't justified. But if you start to prioritize the competitive portion of the game and start raising the power level beyond the casual realm, or playing heavy control themes? You need to chill with the Vorinclex hate and play smarter

  • @jorjor500
    @jorjor5002 жыл бұрын

    If you can’t deal with an 8 drop in a 4 player pod in an entire turn cycle, then you probably weren’t in any shape to win the game anyways. Stax effects are only really powerful when they hit the board super early, this is nowhere close to that.

    The only time I've been been WTF? about this card was in a prismatic bridge deck that flipped Avacyn, Elesh Norn, and this, and all of them were print-out proxies. Like I get the cards aren't dirt cheap but they're available and if you're going to play like that then atleast buy the cards. And even that is fine but the player was unbelievably smug about it like he was this genius by shoving in the 8-10 most miserable creatures in the format and having bridge just cast them out. Whoever made the KZread video that inspired that kid, just know. I resent you. Like we get it.
