Saltbox Stitcher [Episode 100] " Finished but Not Framed Parade "
Everybody Loves a Parade …
Wow ! My 100th Cross Stitching Episode... What a wonderful community of all who love the craft of cross stitch from days gone by. It is so encouraging to see so many stitchers supporting each other, both young and old... newbies and 'older' stitchers sharing their passion for all things needle and linen !
This episode I am introducing a few new starts, updates on WIP's and of course a showing of some 'want to stitch plans' ... the so to speak "fix'in to get ready projects :-) ... and finally a PARADE of many of my Finished but NOT framed projects, mostly samplers... some call these the box under the bed stitches... I want mine on the walls !! They bring warmth to a home, knowing they were products of my hands and honoring those young girls of long ago.
Next episode I will continue with more "Finished but NOT Frames" with a focus on my finished Black Bird Designs... hope to see you then.
Love Ya,
Carol the Saltbox Stitcher

The Professor does a WONDERFUL job with close-up photos and, of course, with the titles. It must take forever, but it is so beautifully done.
Ohhhh your husband is so sweet. Behind every great woman there is a patient and loving man. You both are a treasure. You are so amazing. You need a bigger home with lots of wall. 😂
Carol, so enjoyed the samplers you are working on and all the gorgeous finished ones. You inspire me. Keep smiling and laughing... I laugh right along with you! Congratulations on Episode #100..I always have a little hop in my step when I see your floss tube is up for viewing. Thank you and thank you to Mr Saltbox.

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 on your 100 video. I have watched you from the very beginning. Please tell Mr Saltbox that he does a great job in editing and putting in names of your projects. I know it takes a long time for him and not always able to have the time. You both make me laugh when you are announcing the number of the video. Again thank you both. I look forward to seeing you.
Thank you Carol, both you & your better half, for producing such great content. I will never tire of watching! Stay cool.

Congratulations on making it to Video #100 and 20,000 viewers! It is no surprise to me, given the quality and beauty of your work. I think you should have “Seven Sheep Sampler” framed next, since that’s the one YOU singled out. It would be a great way to celebrate those milestones. I think my favorite was Jane Cowey 1850. I love the colors in that one. Thank you for keeping me company during another enjoyable evening while I did some stitching of my own. Kudos to The Professor for being so supportive of you and your hobby. That’s so lovely. See you next time! ❤
Thank you and your husband so much for labeling all your needle work. I love that you just talk and show to much needle work ❤🎉

Wow, that was absolutely fantastic! Every piece is just beautiful & the only way I would be able to choose which to frame first would be to number them & draw from a hat! I had to save this video so I’d have a quick reference of wanted patterns that I don’t have YET😉 Thank you & your sweet husband for sharing your time, effort & love with us all! ❤️🪡

Oh Carol, what a beautiful collection of finished Samplers! I hope you win the lottery so you can get them all framed...but then you'd probably have to build new walls in the house to hang them..lol. Would Professor Saltbox like to have his garage walls decorated?? I am thinking that if I ever get all my framing done, I will have to hang them on the backs of doors and closet walls to have wall space for them!! I can't wait to see your Blackbird collection; I love lots of designers but Blackbird Designs is my first love! See you next time! xoxo

Thank you, Carol and Professor! Another beautiful Floss Tube filled with inspiration and timeless beauty. Upon pondering for several minutes as to which is my favorite, I have concluded my answer is All of Them! I wouldn’t be able to single one out. I’m starting to finish some of my smaller pieces into pillows for my pretty dough-bowl. With all my left over quilting fabric it’s easy, fast and cost effective. Plus it saves the monopoly hundred dollar bills for framing and lacing the larger pieces😉✂️🪡. I look forward to Episode #101! PS: I 💕 your glasses!

Hello from Pennsylvania. Yes, I hibernate in the winter and stitch. So here in the summer I go to my houseboat. My husband and I really enjoyed boating on our local lake. He however passed away 7 years ago but with good friends I still manage to go to the boat. I have been away for over a month due to a family illness but I am headed there in 3 days. I have 3 Halloween pieces and 1 Christmas piece to sit and stitch sitting on the front deck and enjoy the water. Have a good couple weeks.😊
Another great Floss Tube. I watch in awe of everything you have accomplished. I could have contented myself watching you all day...lol Have a wonderful week and avoid the heat.

Caroll!!! You don’t ‘just ramble’!! You entertain, you show and mostly tell! I lóve your floss tubes and your work. Ok, about your Dutch sampler and Keesie Smit: I am Dutch, so not from Danmark but Holland/The Netherlands. So Keesie is a name for females which was often used in the old days. The only proper way to pronounce it is: like your Casey or like KC from the Sunshine Band, remember? Till next time, would love to see the 8 or 9 BBD from finished but not framed.

Tell the Professor thank you for the names of the charts!! 😊 we have been married 41 yrs and we STILL debate the AC issue. Is it up? Down? We don’t struggle w the heat but the AC gives us issues to figure out what we ea mean😂😂😂. Nice to hear we aren’t the only ones. I stitched Jane Stanwix this year w my friend Kim and I just love it. Yours is so pretty. Ceesie Smit is also one of my favorites. I’m halfway into Winter Rose Manor. I love the colors so much!
