For the amulet dirt grab, it's because people that aren't used to wearing gloves all the time have a lot of trouble feeling things through them, so it's easier to over-grab than make a few attempts at grabbing the thing you can't feel.

Great song, great video, and their sound fits the setting of these games damn well. 🤘🏻🔥 Greetings from Germany. _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. „These are not Larpers.“ *laughs in German Larp* Though jokes aside, the village is a location called Larpdorf (Larp village) Bogenwald. We like to go quite into the details here while Larping and most costumes are on par with cosplayers, movie costumes or even historical reenactment costumes, as many larpers do at least one or more of the other three, too. 😁 Otherwise great review of the song! 👍🏼

Agree on feathering the barbarian boss with bolts or arrows lol. Although the barbarian actor is great I kind of wish they'd gotten Hafthor Bjornson, the mountain from Game of Thrones to play the part. He's a bit smaller and more ripped now that he's left strongman competitions and is into boxing but he's still a huge mother hugger.

The Altmer Hero, Nord Hero and Breton Hero serve as stand-ins for the player in all the trailers, sometimes together(as in the real 1st big CGI trailer, the vanilla release/planemeld trailer), or alone as in the Dark Heart of Skyrim trailer you reference. All 3 also feature in the new High Isle CGI trailer

  • @gentlemanjester637

So, the Elf with the sword and the dude with the helm that you were gushing over, those two are known as the Altmer Hero and Nord Hero, they're the player characters in the cinematic trailers. Alea, the singer, takes the place of the Breton Hero (who usually has a hood and facemask). They each represent one of the three alliances in the game (Altmer for the Aldmeri Dominion, Nord for the Ebonheart Pact, Breton for the Daggerfall Covenant).

Just wanted to add that to my knowledge the „budget“ from Bethesda went into special effects. The extras _were_ in fact mostly larpers and/or cosplayers and brought their own costumes. (Don‘t know about the banners, though. ) In any case it all looked frigging awesome, even for me who is not into gaming at all (but did some pen-and-paper-RPGing back in her time).

If you wear thick leather Gloves, it is near impossible to pick up a thin string, like from an Amulet. You can try it for yourself. That's why the "Grab it all" pose comes along handy all the time :) (And it's way faster than to take off the gloves first.)

I know you're a nerd like many of us in the comment sections, but I haven't seen anyone mention this yet. During a few of the chants they actually chant in the Dragon Language from Elder Scrolls There are 3 lines they say and I will provide a rough translation based on context Ahkrin Vahlok - Brave Guardian(s) Revak Dinok - Honored or revered (Revak) Death or Dead (Dinok) Faasnu wah Fonaar - Fearless to charge Obviously these all represent the actual battle on screen as those are the only times these chants are heard.

Regarding the amulet-dirt-grab, in this particular case it may have to do simply with the fact that the amulet is a rather small object and he's wearing thick gloves, which impede his fine motor-control somewhat. Wear thick gloves like that and try to pick up a penny, you'll find it's actually trickier than you might think. In this case going for the string the amulet is tied to may be more practical, and with the gloves the most reliable way to make sure you actually have a good hold may be the scooping-claw motion and then shaking the dirt off your hand.

Screw pumping arrows into that mountain from across a field - get into his tent at night and dagger the bastard in his sleep. (Gee... can you tell in : gaming, larping and frankly life itself I tend towards what could only be called "Rogue in the throws of chaotic good/neutral?" Best block, no be there. And if you GOTTA be there, take 'em out at the knees when you can.) Hell, if it knocked the mountain down, bed the dude and drop him once he is otherwise engaged. No way I'm letting that monster get within 50ft of me with malice in his mind. Take that shit out LONG before he starts beating on you! Honorable? Nope. But you can make up one hell of a mighty war story AFTER as long as you are the one standing upright in the tavern if you need to!
