Thank you both, a fascinating conversation. Jon is clearly a man with a deep understanding of the renowned but very "human" characters that have helped build America and the world; yet he still retains an almost childlike curiosity for what is yet to come.

Absolutely remarkable talk and conversation here. A years worth of history lessons and philosophical thought in one session.

Jon is the best. Keeps history and satire on a fine balance. Though I've heard him on different videos on KZread repeating the same jokes and phrases, it still seems relevent and fun. Thanks for the upload.

Two good men having a decent conversion. I wish Bill spoke more about Trump, but he held his views to himself during this interview.

Jon needs to reign in his anti-Trump rhetoric. Half the country elevated Trump to the highest office in the land. It is a fact that cannot be changed.

Way less than half the country, and he lost the popular vote by 2.9 Million votes! Facts are demonstrable things, not shit you pulled from your brainfarts.

Evidently you are one of Don the Con's ignorant sicko-phants. Get an education before you and your looney tunes KKK cohorts destroy the country and democracy itself.

Well, it's easy to purchase bespoke loafers when you're a billionaire like Bill Haslam.

Jon: Your North Eastern Elitist asides and efforts to portray the progressive agenda as correct, torpedos your role as a historian.

He's from Chattanooga, Tennessee and went to Sewanee: The University of the South, which is also in Tennessee. Ergo he's not a northerner. Get your facts straight, you willfully ignorant fascist.
