Check out another great video here kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4h2uqyYaNDIaJc.htmlfeature=shared
Thanks guys I watch both of your KZread channels Great information
I run a very small boat, just 15', so I only get out on the nicest of days. That said, some like to be all even steven and run 2 riggers, 2 divers, and an even spread lf boards. For me, I find it more advantageous to run one rigger, one wire diver, one braid diver, one slide diver, and two-four boards. Every bite is a story as Adam mentioned, and I find I get more info that way and can make adjustments from there. I mostly run spoons since I am limited to lines, but I do use the odd flasher fly off a diver, I like meat off my wire diver, and I like a dummy flasher off the ball and a spoon above and behind a ways. Another spoon tip. It's more of a west coast thing, but I think running spoons behind flashers is an underutilized technique on the great lakes. Just use a light weight snap, no swivel needed as the flasher should have one. For whatever reason it gives great action to the spoons and they get bit. I do run the swr on days I am struggling to get bites, and it often produces for me.
living the dream. got into union inside wireman trade too late working towards 30 years before can do what you guys do. id rather clean every boats fish for free than work a minute down here
Great show guys !! Lots of terrific info and tips. Thanks Chris and Adam 👍👍👍

Thanks Ron. I appreciate the input.
Love the pennywise mug in the background and great show too lol.
Just found your channel and want to say thanks for the content. I started salmon fishing in the early 80s as a kid w my Uncle Bill Alman up in Pentwater on a18’ Starcraft w homemade riggers. It’s been a number of years since I really got back into it. Used to be the captain’s all chatted on the radio and U could pick up a little info but nowadays it’s quiet. I miss that! Thanks for shedding some light on current techniques!

You’re welcome.
Good show and can wait to go out on the big lake fishing. 👍
Great show appreciate all tips
Really enjoyed the show tonight,👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great show Chris, Adam was a awesome guest and very knowledgeable. I liked the question and input from you two on the future of the fisheries . Perhaps you could arrange for one of the local fisheries biologists to come on the show and let the guys ask some questions. I know they are a wealth of information and have access to the data that helps form their decisions about plantings and management. I think it’s a win -win for both the DNR and the guys out there actually chasing these fish Thanks Chris

It's something I've thought about doing for a while now.
Nice show, thanks guys !!
I ran some salmon candy spoons last year, used natural colours as i fish super clear waters of huron. I caught at least one fish on them every time i put them out. I didn't damage any of them in the process, if you do bend them a bit, they seem to pop back into shape. That said, a 20+ pound king is a whole different level of violence and I haven't had the luck to test them that way yet.
Awesome show! Very informative!👍👍👍👍👍
My biggest browns have been caught in the propwash with a quarter ounce splitsot 8 ft in front of sppon.
Great show as always!
Great job guys
Your doing a great job

Thank you.
Salmon candy spoons bend when they get whacked but like you say a fish bend isn’t always a bad thing
Missed the live show tonight was fishing out of harbor beach
you know Chris on a side and Adam on the other would be a heck of a show please take a camera person or 2 because it would be gold. thanks to you both for all that you put out there really has helped me become a better fisherperson
Great info
Great Show! Thanks. I always look forward to your new videos. When using a 6' fixed or free sliders with spoons, what diameter leader do you use? Something like 10lb. for browns, 20lb. for lake trout and 40 or 50lb for kings. Does using a heavy leader have an effect on the spoon action?

I match the same pound test as my main line.

Great show Chris!!! You and Adam work great together putting this on! Two thumbs up!!! A couple of things. Later in the show a question came up about using squids. Here on our lake in SD. squids has been a main staple for our salmon. Why would leader length be different on a squid than a fly? Also, I called DreamWeaver again today 4/4/22 to see if they have gotten in the snubbers for downriggers balls and they haven't yet. Do you have them at your Tangled Tackle store? If so, what would be the best way to get ahold of you to get them? If you don't have them what other brand would you recommend? Thanks!!

I don't recommend any other brand. Hopefully they will be back in stock soon. We don't have them in the store. Squids are heavier than flies so you have to adjust leader length for more or less action behind a rotator. Less leader more action - longer leader less action.

@@tangledtacklefishing Thank Chris!
With leadcore, do you attach the spoon directly to the leader line or do you add other equipment to it?
@tangledtacklefishing

Run 45 feet of mono leader behind the leadcore. I have a video on this channel that shows you how to completely set on up.
How do you bend a spoon?

Carefully by hand.
