I have in the past Stephen and never had any success Stephen. I don't know if I had been fishing empty water or if the fish weren't interested. maybe one day ill have another bash Cheers Iain. 🥃

Mixed bag 0f weather again Ian. River looks Ok. We were catching a lot of 1+salmon from our restocking river while monitoring .all silver. But still a lot of water about. How about Scotland. Are the rains changing the salmon habits?

There have been a few things that have affected the salmon in a lot of rivers this year Christopher...... The first was a lot of seals entered the rivers and cleared out the lower beats and after that the fresh fish that were coming in tended to push through as there were no residents for them to lie with then the rain came and made it easier to push further upstream . It has been very difficult for the lower beats. Cheers Iain. 🥃

I never saw a fish there were two fish caught, one on each of the days I was ther. I never had the chance to wet a fly in the pools that they came out of That's fishing for you. Cheers Iain. 🥃

Hi Mark. this year has been a tough year for a lot of anglers I have hooked 8 salmon and lost all but one I have however had about a dozen sea trout and the largest was about 6lb. Are you getting concerned with the amount of time you are spending on good beats without a take? Looks like another poor season to me.

I have had a bad start to a few season Rodney. this year seems to be a lot worse as there is very few fish showing obviously due to a lack of fish Some anglers seem to think that this year is one of the dips and the highs will come next year. I think that they are being a bit optimistic Cheers Iain. 🥃

Yes perhaps it's the fisherman that is the problem and not the lack of fish! 😅

the lower Tweed had quite a few seals eating them or chasing them out of the pools. they were about three miles above Kelso and now it looks like they have gone back to sea and salmon numbers seem to be increasing in the pools Cheers Iain. 🥃
