I’ve always dreamed of her writing a book for young girls or women on how to be fully in their feminine energy- she just defines a confident woman; eloquent, poised, funny, intelligent, a good conversationalist; she knows her qualities and doesn’t do more or less than what she is.

I've always liked Salma but have never been able to pinpoint whether she is sincere. Which isn't exactly a bad thing as she is a great actress. So them showing the post-tasting clips really made me value her as a person. Sean is one of the most honest, gentle and genuine "celebrity" interviewers out there. Her picking up on how much he puts into his work and that is shows, is so special.

Honestly this woman is just like an amazing wine , that just gets more incredible with every year..

I have to say this, I'm only 6min in, but this is the best interview I've ever seen of hers. Everywhere else, she's treated like the funny-quirky-sexy latina, whereas here she's a complex human being with decades of knowledge and experience on her craft. Sean, you're fantastic. Thank you for being so respectful and allowing Salma to be herself on camera for once.

Both Padma Laskshmi and Alton Brown rated the sauces. All three of them just killed the tasting, not just how hot a sauce was, but how they brought out all the flavours from the ingredients. Love Salma Hayek's descriptions here.

Having binge watched A LOT of these episodes today while feeling ill, this one is at the top of all the other great episodes for me. Salma Hayek is a queen and this whole interview is genius ❤

I have great admiration for Salma Hayek. She is focused on her life and her art; instead of focused on being a "movie star," and when you listen to her, the difference becomes obvious. She is so authentic. 💕⚘

This was an amazing interview, it really shows how well Sean researches his guests. Salma Hayek was awesome, her descriptions of the sauces were great and she is a true lover of spice. She brought me back to my childhood, especially with that look she had when she asked 😂

When it shifts from an interview to a conversation; when the guest starts asking Sean questions and taking an interest in him. That is when you see how Hot Ones is different from the typical interview show.

Arguably the best interviewer in media today. Well researched and always interesting. Doesn’t ever have to be controversial or contentious with his guests. His style of interviewing always seems to relax his guests in to a very relaxed and honest state I’m wondering if chilli acts as a sort of sodium pentathol 😊

I love how long she sat around at the end and asked him things. like no this interview is not over im interested in you and THIS now. Very classy and human.

I love Salma and her skincare line is great but I can't find it in the drugstore anymore. She is such a smart and sensitive down to earth actor. Very refreshing.

I love how Salma stays to chat with Sean and finish eating😂 I was wondering when someone was gonna do that; the conversation always seems to end so fast and then the guest skedaddles away 😂

That’s it Salma says we Mexicans are adopting Sean, so we adopting him 🤷🏽‍♀️ Welcome to the familia Sean!

I believe its because he actually takes the time to learn his guests before they come on and ask questions he wants to know. (which is what we want to know also)

that's simply because English is not her first language and she wants to understand lol. She even didn't understand the first question right at 2:15 when Sean asked what role does music play in helping her get into character... her answer was "every character" and gave a bullshit explanation lol.... she didnt understand the question

One of the best episodes ever. The way that she enjoys testing the sauces flavor it's great. As a good Mexican, she identifies the aromas and flavors when tasting them. Mexican moms would be proud. By the way, if she says that "The Bomb" sauce is disgusting, it is without a doubt.

Everyone says 'Da Bomb' is nasty and Sean is right.. it's just a prank sauce, nothing in it that you would want to taste. There's no flavor, just 'hot'.

Just reminded me of when i was awakened out of a dead sleep by fanning feathers on my face(flapping wings) in this house i lived at 20 yrs ago. I dont know what it was but i watched it disappear into a spiral in the corner of the room above me, where 2 walls meet the ceiling!!! Scared the sh*t out of me!!! Needless to say i moved out of that house after a few other strange unexplainable things occured there!

Such a regal picture, painted by her absolute gift of being relatable yet elevated in stature

She's the best. Fell in love with her after "Desperado," but I've never seen her just interact with someone as herself. She's quick too, snappy. She's got some fire in her.

She has been one of my favorite actresses for soooo long. She is so eloquent, beautiful, cultural, and comedic.

She's just so intelligent, classy, and unpretentious...it just amplifies her physical beauty tenfold. I've always loved Salma.

It’s so refreshing to watch a Salma Hayek interview where she is actually asked about interesting facts of her life rather than focusing on her accent or her passion for fashion. Definitely one of my favourite episodes, thank you so much for this one!

“No me gustas”… 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 (reaction to ‘Da Bomb’) That totally CRACKED ME! how wonderful Salma uses Spanish expressions to describe sensations, always proud of her roots. Plus the visual descriptions “This one is an ATTACK to the tongue… You don’t feel any flavor, just PAIN… Like a BAD lover”… 😂😂😂😂😂 Sean noticed all the descriptions, but sth truth about us Mexicans is that we’re, most of us, very visual, and we can be very descriptive with comparative images. Salma totally handled those spicy wings gracefully, being Mexican gives us a bit of advantage (hope Sean invites Korean, Thai and Indian Hollywood movie stars, they have extremely hot peppers more demolishing than us Mexicans)

She is so talented and gracious and I love she doesn't change her accent at all, beautiful Mexican talented human being.

Everybody is talking about Salma adopting Sean as a mexican, but can we appreciate how down to earth she is, especially when she sits with him at the end, asking him about his job and being genuinely interested? A lot of the times, we put actors on a pedestal, but in reality, they're the same humans as us, with just more exposure. I love when we can see the normality in a person such as Salma. This was a great interview!

I think it really shows what she was saying about wanting to be a part of movies, not wanting to be an actor. You can tell she really has a passion for what she does, she isn't doing it for fame

Ever since watching Desperado back in the cable box era, I've always thought Salma Hayek as a prestigious unique talented actress. After rewatching this Hot Ones, I realize how funny and positively hysterical she is. What a woman and actress. Great interview.

So far , in my opinion, Salma has been one of the best guests. She was so smart, insightful. Her colorful, picturesque descripture of the flavor of the hot wings was awesome. She could tell the flavors within the chile. She was paying attention to Sean. She notice his skin tone, and knew he was experiencing the spiceness. Smart woman, I am impressed. My new hero.

Sean is such a great interviewer. When Salma appears on other late night shows, the hosts have this tendency to create an awkward cadence. And they never seem to ask the right questions or to listen. But with Sean, I feel like he is always prepared for the interview while also being so courteous and kind. Great work Sean! love the show as always

One of my favourite talkshow guests to watch! She has such a great personality…

Salma: "Omygod! You know everything about me!" I really admire the dedication of Sean and his crew on researching about the guests. Every episode that I watch, the guests are surprised on how much Sean knows about them. He asks even the most random thing🤣

I love this girl so much. She has been an inspiration to me. Always find myself with at least smile when I see her. So humble and so down to earth. I wish more actors were like her.

That last question was perfection 💯 incredibly perfect ending

“Do you think Frida would have embraced a connection between art and string theory?” Is one of the most badass questions I’ve heard. Sean is the best interviewer, and Salma is wonderful

I don't think she meant to flex but was searching for words but only found what she could to explain her passion for tacos. She explained early on she had dyslexia, so it's to be expected she wouldn't be as accurate.

I'm glad they showed the conversation at the very end. I really enjoy when the guests and Sean have an off script conversation. Especially when the guests show interest in Sean and the show.

As a mexican, I totally get "being on a break from hot food" too. Gastritis is real yall LOL

I’m black and 35 and I have to eat every thing with hot sauce, from Frank’s to Louisiana, tapatio, Sriracha, Chiluba you name it I have it and I never take a break but sometimes it does come back to bite me in the but😂😂😂😂 if you know what I mean
