ah, "the nightmare before christmas." such a halloween classic (or a christmas classic-it can be both!). i loved tim burton movies so much as a kid, and some of my favorite characters included sally and emily from "the corpse bride." this was one of my absolute favorite songs as a kid; it's just so haunting and tragic, and i absolutely enjoyed recording a cover of it.

I was not expecting such power, but I totally dig it! 🤩 The tone gives me the sense of emphasizing what Sally's feelings for Jack mean for her compared to the original emphasizing what her feelings meant for him. When singing Sally's Song myself, I've always focused on trying to capture the pining and grace--I never considered re-imagining it. I love how passionate this cover is! Great vocals and instrumentals. 👍 Haunting.
