Sally is such a good actress, she just takes the roll, no matter what, serious or funny, she dominates it. And can't get over how damn beautiful she is.

Sally Hawkins, this is where the real magic started being unleashed. Oh God, everything she has done since Happy Go Lucky has been brilliant, please do yourself a favor and watch MAUDIE.

I've been watching her since 'Fingersmith' and 'Tipping the Velvet', she was great even then.

She is a wonderful wonderful person. Sally just seems to be, So humble and down to earth.

I love that all of these Happy-Go-Lucky vids are popping up on YT after Shape of Water. Love Sally Hawkins!

This video touched on why Poppy is such a great character. I had never thought about the film in regards to how it's about teaching and different kinds of teachers, so it was cool to hear Mr. Leigh talk about that.

What a movie this is.

Yeah, well it's not just film it's cinema though, innit. My Irish girlfriend at the time once told me to 'Go on ya own' when I was doing film studies at the City Lit. On my own? Best thing ever - disappearing down any old subterranean cinema in the city; ya know, sitting there apparently on my own in the whole place, sometimes (just a cough from way off over there somewhere...?). I still think about Frank from Meantime quite allot - he's my archetype, if one can have their own.

666, Poppy! 666!

Didn't like Poppy. She kind of freaked me out with the awkward laughter and snorting whilst in the shop. I think she was rude to the shop keeper. I'm sure he wanted even less to smile after hearing her crap.

I don’t mind Sally Hawkins or Mike Leigh but this was truly an awful movie... I’ve tried constantly yet always failed to understand it’s praise.
